This movie got me thinking. The part where Mr Knightly tells Emma off for being rude at the picnic... and she’s sat in the coach... the driver / footman were out of shot, sat in the front seat just staring straight ahead pretending they couldn’t hear the entire thing. I died inside.

The best part was Mr.Knightley lying on the floor and the servant quickly walking out 😂. It reminded me of a similar occasion that happened in my 8th grade musical theatre class, when two girls were singing “Let It Go” for an assignment and a boy asked to go to the bathroom to avoid hearing it. After a bit, he came back, and the song was not yet finished and he walked back out into the hallway with the same attitude of the man in the video.😂

Watch pride and prejudice (either 1995 or 2005) both equally entertaining and romantic because it's doesn't matter which one you choose, at the end we love the woman called Jane Austen and her work.

@@eb7446 I know I'm acting like a fuddy-duddy. But as I've grown older I've stopped enjoying the explosions, the effects, the crude interchange that passes for witty banter. The right way to do an "updated" for-the-youth Austen is Clueless. But if you keep the original characters and the time period, then No. Ach! This belongs to that same awful trend of using rock music as background for period pieces. It caters to a certain... hmm how shall I say this... age group. The kind who would probably never pick up the actual book.

@@katiewoodley7456 A masterpiece is that which stands the test of time. Come back to me in 10 years if this movie still registers with the wider public or they have moved on to the next flavor of the month.

@@gokouson180 hello! I’m 16, so I’m assuming that’s the age demographic you were referring to- and I have read the book! I think the film, although not as serious as the book itself, is a good representation of the story and the author’s humour. The editing in this video makes the slapstick a lot more pronounced than it is in the film.
