    I didn't personally do Slimming World I did Calorie Counting but I've always found your vlogs super useful because you actually cook nutritious food. I was in so many calorie counting Facebook groups and the amount of people out there who are just using their calories on absolute crap is insane - having a protein bar for a meal for example. Slimming World actually seems to encourage you to eat healthily while so many people calorie counting just fill themselves with ultra-processed foods all day every day, and yes they get to their end goal but you can be slim and still be unhealthy/have a fatty liver for example. I've had to be so careful when losing weight because I'm a liver transplant recipient (transplanted when I was only 1) so eating highly processed protein products is really discouraged because long term they just aren't good for you. I do think sometimes people demonise Slimming World because they just can't cook and therefore struggle on the plan. Sorry that ended up being longer than I expected 😂 long story short I think Slimming World is good and I didn't even do it, great vlog as always x

      Absolutely Heather the most important part of any eating plan is that you are eating healthy balanced foods and it fits in with your life style , my sister does calorie counting but cooks similar to me I guess and she’s also tracking her protein fibre etc so looking for all round balance I guess there are good ways and bad ways to follow any eating plan 🙌🏼 thanks for watching Cx

      @@daniellebrogan8699 I can't speak for everyone, I'm speaking specifically from my point of view as a liver patient, I've been encouraged to find natural sources of protein (meat, eggs etc) that don't come from UPF's

    I agree with you about syns . I have lost 2.5 stone and use my syns every night as a treat on a bag of crisps and mini bag of chocolate gems and I look forward to it.

    Hi Claire, I used a tin of chicken in white sauce for the first time recently just to see what it's like. I added tinned mushrooms, tarragon, parsley, onion and garlic powder and served it with a flavoured rice. We really enjoyed it...a quick and easy tea! Maybe try chicken curry or chilli in your crimpit wrap.... xx

    Great vlog Claire. I have got one of the little crimpet's which I use one of the Aldi thins in, they are great. That chicken is quite nice I put extra cooked chicken in mine and then made it into like a cottage pie with mashed potato on top, and served with vegetables that was quite nice. Take care lovely. Oh and by the way I do think you are being to hard on your self, you are a full time working mum you need chill out days. xx

    I LOVE watching your health journey. Even though I have a different plan I use for my health journey, I do intermittent fasting with calorie cycling, but I think everyone is different and what works for you is what you should do for your body and I love seeing all of your meal ideas and just your life. Thank you for sharing with us all. Lots of love and please keep doing you!

    • @clairemariehoward
      @clairemariehoward  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thank you Sarah yes absolutely different things work for everyone and that’s what it’s all about finding what works and fits in with you ! My husband suggested I do a 3 day fast with him I was like are you crazy 😂 but I’m guessing you mean the eat between x and y time of day and fast for the remainder ? Thanks for watching x Cx

    • @saraholson5907
      @saraholson5907 14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      LoL, Yes, I usually fast 17-21 hours a day and I do eat every day. I tried 5:2 but that was too EXTREME for my body. But I know a lot of people enjoy it. And a lot of people do 3 day fasts as well and enjoy it, but I really enjoy being able to eat every day and I can't live without my coffee. I am down 55 lbs which is 3 stone 9 lb I think... but the most important part is that I have kept it off which was a struggle for me in the past. :)

    Hi Claire, so good to see you back. The vlog was great and I'm now thinking of getting a crimpit. I've not been doing very
    Good on slimming world due to finding a breast lump that I've had biopsies on and I've also had two courses of antibiotics because of having a severe blood infection. I've had a full week in bed because of my spinal issues and arthritis.
    On Tuesday evening I'm going back to group if I can manage to walk there due to my car breaking down again after spending £1,600 on it in February. I'm fuming because when I bought it from Bristol street motors I also paid £600 for a 5 year warranty that isn't worth the paper it's written on. I'm going to go to group as if I'm a new member and listen to the talk, buy a 6 week countdown and use a food diary. I e got more breast scans on Friday so I want to get organised this week and back on plan. You are looking great and I love watching your vlogs. The Aldi chicken in white sauce is good with added garlic, mushrooms and chopped smokey bacon with it along with chopped spring onions, then add it to pasta and serve with veg of your choice and top it with some grated cheese. The leftovers are good the next day served with a salad. Looking forward to seeing you again very soon, kind regards Angeline ❤️ xx

      Oh no sounds like you are having a bit of a time x I hope things start looking up soon ❤️
      Warranties are always a funny thing I’ve heard this kind of thing many times x fingers crossed you’ve got it all sorted. Going to slimming world must be the least of your worries right now but you’ll get it done when the time is right xxx sometimes group can be nice just to go have a cuppa and clear your mind x

    The thing is slimming world has to limit the more high calorie, less nutrient rich , or sugar type foods , for you to lose weight . If they said eat unlimited sugar or crisps … that would be wrong too. My opinion of slimming world is the same as any weight loss plan … it is what you make of it , if you want to eat lots of unlimited pasta and potato of course you won’t lose weight as fast as someone who is choosing to eat something lower calorie like salads . As you said people can use their syns to incorporate things they think are important to them such as healthy fats or protein shakes . Everyone is responsible for their own food choices it can’t always be Sw fault xxxx

    • @lisasmiles3447
      @lisasmiles3447 16 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The comments I see a lot is that sw discourages exercise and I obviously don’t know what other groups are like but mine doesn’t at all , we are always sharing what body magic we have done that week. A lot of people online that hate on sw also want you to buy some sort of plan or product from them too so I think it’s a little biased x

    • @clairemariehoward
      @clairemariehoward  15 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Exactly that Lisa x there are good and bad ways you can follow any eating plan it’s all in the interpretation of it x and what works for one isn’t necessarily what works for someone else 🙌🏼
