You are an absolute STAR!!! I have a load of movies to watch on my ancient laptop and it’s giving up on me. It’ll only boot in Safe Mode! Now I’ve actually got sound and can watch them on there til I get a new laptop. You’re the best!!!
error 1: the driver key file already exists
error 2: Cannot edit: error writing the value's new contents
error 3: this video doesn't work
I hate TH-camrs who IGNORES comments like this and only replies to those who post complements ..i'd down-vote every video of his
i was also facing the same problem but found a way to deal with it

@@chromatigz This is how I got mine working....1. there are 2 locations... 1 already has a key and one doesn't... del the key from the location that already has it
2. add the new key to both locations
(#. note: don't forget to export a backup of the file before del.)
also I had more driver keys restored than what are mentioned in the video, the default values are I think available in the group policy editor... don't really remember since this was 4 months ago....

Well done! You deserve the like. Tested on Windows 7 64-bit Enterprise, and it indeed works. I actually did try a similar method, but for some reason, I actually got a different ID when I inserted the values in regedit. I had already added all the necessary registry values like MMCSS, etc., but because the initial ID didn't match the one of my audio (again, dunno how it happened), well, I just had no audio :P. I gave this method a shot again after seeing your video, and lo and behold, it actually does work. I'm the one who had made a mistake concerning the ID XD. So, thank you for this :)

Its says unable to because that already exists when i try to paste the new key , any work arounds ?
It don't work.. last key when i type audiosrv it says "The registry editor cannot rename Audiosrv. The specified key name alrady exist. Type another name and try again."

Thanks, this helped me out. I have to edit heavy video some times but my program keeps crushing. Only option left is safe mode but issue was no sound.
NOTE: Make sure you put your safe mode option to network since that's where the changes are made. I initially had it in minimal and didn't work.

-The video Created by an Indian (Kings of Spammer on every website )
-Overpraise (when the shit doesn't work for real people)
-They don't react to those with real questions, only to those who praised them (mostly they praise shirtsleeves using multiple fake accounts to add credibility lol )
