    I have owned several bikes with older and newer variants of this engine (currently ride an R100R), and this model is great. I do all my own work on my bikes, so I know what it's like inside. While not a perfect reproduction (just simplified a bit, no glaring errors), it's certainly a great model of a wonderful, reliable, robust, historic engine. Well done!

    i watched it yesterday, and i watched it today. I love the combination of music and motion inside an engine. It gave me chills. Twice. Phenomenal channel

    Having owned 3 R90/6's and an R100RT over a period of time, all I can say is what a fine design and craftsmanship! I especially like the fact that it clearly demonstrates the 180 degree piston timing and what I hope is the spark plugs' wasted spark ignition design. Great job!!!

    Hello Kota. Yup pretty close to the real one. Just small things, surface finish, some cables, clutch, ...clutch? Wth?
    Well, if one wants authentic, starting about double the model`s money will get you most of a motor. In pieces. A 750 showed up here that way. It was all there remarkably, and took 100 hours and a few thou to repair / assemble. About the nicest smooth ride I ever had. Nothing beats an old BMW twin for encouraging one to grow up and enjoy the (long) ride.

    Ah, shit, why did this have to arrive so late in my life?
    I had an R90/s back in the day, and I still think it's one of the most beautiful bikes ever designed.
    Too old for any bikes now, and a bit too cack-handed for model making!
    Hey ho!
    But mega thanks for the video and a nostalgic stroll down memory lane 😊

    An LED light to simulate the spark from the spark plugs would be a nice mod for this. 😅

    They could have at least made the spark plugs light up....... My "Visible V-8" model from the early 70's did. If they do I missed it.

      It's missing a lot of things, including a $1,000 price tag if they tried to make the model "correct".

    What a waste of money, where is the clutch? And it’s plastic.

    • @tomscotttheolderone364
      @tomscotttheolderone364 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So what about not having a clutch? I somehow doubt that the omission killed your decision to buy one. As it is, the model is both reasonably affordable and does a great job of showing engine and transmission operating principles. As far as them using plastic, until someone invents clear metal so that internal moving parts can be seen, I'm afraid that is what all model builders are stuck with.
