    Oliva was pretty good. 3 batting titles. His numbers tapered off because of 8 knee surgeries. So a lot of people don’t realize how good he was because he doesn’t have the big career totals.

    Oliva was my dad's nextdoor neighbor growing up. So gald to see he made it in the hall this year 💯

    of course this guy would say "they would try to break their armor". he grow up playing with rocks! it is true they were a different breed of players back in the day

      Players in the 60s in my opinion were the best. They were smarter, less spoiled, had a better grasp of the game and worked harder.

    He's such a beast in mlb the show 20. I have him as my lead off hitter batting .448

    Tony Oliva was pretty damn fine. .304 in his era is very impressive.

    The investment by owners are different. Protecting players is key now because hundreds of millions of dollars are at risk. No different than Protecting a QB in football.

      He had the best run for about 5 years but was obviously juiced...and yes that made a difference. So not sure how you rank him.
