With ai technology and ai actors, etc. These beings and creatures are beyond perfection, we should be able to see that they have some human features, but they are beyond human, and closer to gods, than men. The music, the visuals, the depth and scope in the establishing shots, transported me into the galaxy. Please keep going. The best Ai work and story telling I have seen. Well Done!

I might co-write the longest fic in this fandom, whose story arc and purpose is to finish the Song of the Ainur. Your creation here is beyond incredible, the storytelling concept a fantastic exploration of canon details most people don't know exist. But the visuals...gah! This made me cry, it's so overwhelmingly beautiful. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this...things have been rough IRL lately. Part of that rough was getting trolled over AI content in some of the illustrations for our story, and...let's just say that it was our first encounter with antis on this topic. We learned some stuff, but having people try to strongarm us into tagging our work as having AI content after the images were removed, uh....
I want to hope this toxicity will not find its way to your doorstep but if it does? I'm one of the voices shouting that it is the regulators and the software companies that need to clean up the mess. Creators who have visions of how to bring content to the world like this that is brilliant, uplifting, and overwhelmingly gorgeous without Amazon level budgets for CGI should not get told 'no you can't' because of the dozens of gray areas. You did an amazing thing here and I know how difficult it is to wring 'your vision' out of this software with still images; I can't imagine what is involved with video sequences. So much appreciation for all of your effort, especially when due to your choice of subject matter you've signed onto the 'can't even pass the hat for donations club.' It's a labor of love, though, and always worth it.

The expansion on Varda's rejection of Melkor here explains a lot. His obsession for her light extended to not only the Two Tres, but also to the Silmarils, his fear of Melian and fascination with Luthien (she was born in Middle Earth, but both her parents had seen the Light of the Trees in Aman). The fact that Varda married his brother just added salt to his wounds.

I still have to watch this, I just discovered it, just have to say I love the idea. While unfortunately Tolkien didn't get to publish the Silmarillion and there are obviously issues with it, it's by far the most important of the whole legendarium. LOTR or the Hobbit cover just a short period of time, they are just stories within the big story, the Silmarillion is the whole history of Arda, from the creation to the end of the second age and it's truly epic.
I'll give proper comments after I watch it.

Well done! 👏👏👏👏 It makes my heart so glad to see someone doing this great story justice. Your visuals are BEAUTIFUL. I love how much thought and love you put into this. What a great honor to the professor! You would make him proud. You are truly a servant of the secret fire. Keep it up! I'm looking forward to this journey.

@@hanham963 What the FUCK are you smoking??? Love of Tolkien's work and its meaning is mutually exclusive with making something like this with AI. Generative AI is quite literally all the things Tolkien despised smashed into one, and just because you dislike RoP (which I do as well), doesn't make that any less true. This entire comments section feels like a goddamn fever dream, all of you people are fucking despicable.

What's with the huge pointy ears? It seems that in all these AI generated adaptations of Tolkien (and actually nearly every adaptation in general) the ears of Elves and now the Ainur are used to say "look, this definitely is not a Man!". I believe there may be one passing reference in Tolkien's letters that Elvish ears may have been "leaf-shaped" i.e with a slight point, but certainly not that they were over sized with huge points. In contrast, he definitely wrote that it was difficult to tell a Numenorian and an Elf apart if the Numenorian was clean shaven they looked so similar i.e. no ridiculously pointy ears on the Elves!

    • @PedroRodrigues-fh1ku

It`s AI, it only regurgitates what`s in the dataset, there are more original works portraying elves with huge ears than not, from other IPs, and of course details like this won`t mean anything for this soulless product.
