@@plinbeef You are wrong on two points my good fellow: [i] Regardless of AB's behavior, the Police have a strict code of conduct to adhere to. Therefore, there is nothing that a member of the public can do that should excuse a Police Officer acting outside of that code of conduct. [ii] A person who is not suspected of a crime, is not obliged to provide their details to the Police when asked. This is a historical right of which people died to enable. We have a right to privacy from state interference. Simply saying "if you have nothing to hide then you'll give your details" is negated by the fact that there is a legal mechanism protecting a right to privacy.
The older ones who got in years ago are way more professional because they actually know the law. This latest crop who are coming in would never of got in years ago, as the Police have lowered the standard that much, any Tom, Dick or Harry can get in now!

Compared to pc bully and pc knobhead from Luton he deserves a good pass B. Tried to be accommodating and never questioned your answer as to why and said we all need a hobby didn’t even request your name until the very end.
I think that was an A+ pass as he was perfectly courteous, answered your questions, accepted why you were there & most importantly didn't harp on about your details.
He never had his shoulder number on his shirt he never identified himself with his warrent card because his shoulder number wasn't on display on the most outer garment of his clothing

Ross H trust me as someone who has been a victim of crime on at least nine times I have never met a good one and to cap it off I have never had any stolen goods returned or anyone arrested for the crimes. Maybe I should report hurt feelings that's the only crime they care about.

To sum up : 'never knowingly seen a corrupt officer, never met one, but claims he's pulled coppers up for doing things wrong - but their wrongdoing wasnt criminal.' What was 'wrong' then? - did he use his 25 years experience to pull coppers up for trying to act honestly? I've known two coppers who bravely "pulled" their colleagues up - they both became ex-police as a result.
The public tends to have no respect for the police when they report a crime and the police don't turn up and just give them a crime number. I once had a copper tell me after my yard was broken into that they don't investigate this type of crime as they are hard to solve. When I reported it he lied and said he didn't say it. Guess who they believed? I have zero respect for them and I was brought up to respect the police but I can only go by the way I've been treated which is nothing but a joke.

A PASS, proper human to human interaction . assessing intruder just by talking, not like the bearded police officer demanding i.d. and grabbed A.B. equipment and assaulted A.B. . From my tourist perspective this is the best police officer i have seen G.B. up to now.
I love how they think some guy who might be planning an attack will stand out in the opening, sometimes with a reflective vest on, and usually standing in the same spot.
A pass. The "police" officer said something i've NEVER heard a "police" officer say, he would arrest a fellow officer if he broke the law. Every officer i've asked that question (and i mean every single one) has told me the famous line "well, it would depend entirely on the circumstances", never a straight answer. :)

Looking at the cars going in and out one of two things struck me, either some police are being paid too much or all the money collected from drug dealers dosen't make it's way to the sarge's biscuit fund.
Well they do potentially put their lives on line daily and do a dangerous job so I think not only fair they should receive a decent pay. Plus you don’t have to be rich to have a nice these days there all on finance deals. That’s exactly why you now 50k cars parked outside houses that are only worth 150k. Years ago, back in the 80s & 90s you only had a nice posh car of your were well off. Now anyone can buy or loan a BMW, Mercedes or Jaguar. Don’t get thinking someone’s rich because they drive a nice car. I know a bin man who’s on 26k a year drives a 50k Audi S6 coupe, on a finance deal over two years then changes the car.

Pass..the officer was operating in the confines of the law, made conversation..was polite and KNEW there was no offence being commited...he should be training the recruits on how to properly serve the public...never thought I'd say it but credit to this officer 100%
About time we have seen a professional police officer proud of him. Very rare I say this. But he’s a Good officer. Give him 9/10. There are some decent and understanding officers. He passed A+
Sometimes you have to push a little, a lot of times their true colours show when you do that, so he came out of that alright, which is how it should be. They should not be taking anything personally, keep calm, deal with the situation calmly, which he did, so I don't really know why you're against AB for doing his job.
Actually quite a refreshing exchange in the end. The constable's initial approach could have been better but he quickly realised that you were there to cause no harm and engaged in a genial and pleasant conversation. Many others could learn from him perhaps! If they were all similar to that they might discover that the public respond more positively toward them.
Is it just me, or are they getting friendlier? I reckon they've all been watching your vids and briefed on how to talk to you (apart from the Redditch bully boy, he was prob on holiday that day).

I mean, could Maccy D's put up someone's image on social media, whilst, say the ambulance service couldn't because they're public? If AB wanted to, I think he could do a freedom of information request to see any images or whatever the police have of him, but to do that, he'd have to give his name... which would be a sticking point!

That policeman at the beginning helped me when I was having a mental health crisis. He treated me with a lot of respect and dignity.

Every officer i've asked that question (and i mean every single one) has told me the famous line "well, it would depend entirely on the circumstances", never a straight answer. :)

Well they do potentially put their lives on line daily and do a dangerous job so I think not only fair they should receive a decent pay. Plus you don’t have to be rich to have a nice these days there all on finance deals. That’s exactly why you now 50k cars parked outside houses that are only worth 150k. Years ago, back in the 80s & 90s you only had a nice posh car of your were well off. Now anyone can buy or loan a BMW, Mercedes or Jaguar. Don’t get thinking someone’s rich because they drive a nice car. I know a bin man who’s on 26k a year drives a 50k Audi S6 coupe, on a finance deal over two years then changes the car.

Sometimes you have to push a little, a lot of times their true colours show when you do that, so he came out of that alright, which is how it should be. They should not be taking anything personally, keep calm, deal with the situation calmly, which he did, so I don't really know why you're against AB for doing his job.
I'm ex police and I arrested a police officer in 2003. Believe me, he was one of many I'd liked to have arrested.

Actually quite a refreshing exchange in the end. The constable's initial approach could have been better but he quickly realised that you were there to cause no harm and engaged in a genial and pleasant conversation. Many others could learn from him perhaps! If they were all similar to that they might discover that the public respond more positively toward them.

If AB wanted to, I think he could do a freedom of information request to see any images or whatever the police have of him, but to do that, he'd have to give his name... which would be a sticking point!
