29:55 I love how they interact with their fans. Most signing sessions I've been to were just the musicians looking down on the cards they signed with no interaction whatsoever. Trivium has to be the most down to earth band there is
Travis is Trivium, his sound, his style, everything. Of course they might not have been getting along which is a totaly valid reason to move on from a sitiuation. However! What tightened the performances now is 90% the impelmentation of click/backing tracks and the experience they gained through time passing and them getting better at what they do. I love Alex and it's a good thing he is in the band now, but Travis, from a player prespective would fare just as well now, he should not be discredited.
@@tritex6350 And since I didn't mention it: thanks, I didn't know that! According to Russ Elton, Corey said on his stream that both solos were played by Jason. Do you know if Jason also played Matt's part?
ive been a fan since like 2008-2009 and they peaked around 2010-2011 right up to the release of their best album in waves. vengeance was a step down and then they ceased to be trivium after matts voice perished in 2014
@@tfwnoyandere I’ve been a fan since 2006 and shogun was their last great album of that era. In waves was a huge disappointment if you were waiting for it after shogun. ah yes the matt hetfield era

not gonna lie they're much tighter now live I saw them in 2016 and it was badass
You can see how much they tightened up their performances over the years. Recruiting Alex Bent has certainly helped as well.
they never had more energy than when nick just joined though

It’s so crazy how far they’ve come.
not screaming matt era..
+Gabriel Caraballo but it was more powerful than now,
ahhh the dean era
Great archieve my friend..
One rarity..
Congrats!!!
And thank you for this
If we stop comparing Matt's live singing to the album, then it sounds good, a real punk vibe
Very cool! I really do miss this line up
Corey with goggles?! 24:00
Like light to the flies was amazing on here
wonder if that kid who got the guitar signed by them all sold it?
The Trivium that doesnt wish be the next Metallica era
I enjoy this era and Shogun era wayyyy more than where they ended up tbh.

Pull harder definitely wasn't written to be played live, especially the chorus quick hammer on riffs and both solos.
Plus Corey’s solo wasn’t even written or played by him, it’s by Jason Suecof
@@tritex6350 Oddly enough, Corey still plays it like the album version. Matt plays something way different, a completely different solo you could say.

@@pietpadda593 I don’t think Jason did Matt’s solo, I think corey meant the harmonies placed on top of the main solo. But I wouldn’t rule it out
I personally think its triviums second best solo, second to the solo on when all light dies, which I'm pretty sure is also jason 😂 @tritex6350
Best trivium era. If you were around back then and a fan, you just know. Those first 4 records are like Metallica before the black album

i am actually learning some good guitar practices
in this period, it seemed that he had some struggles to sing in E-Standard or Drop D tuning
Hence why they started dropping everything half a step down from each major tuning they've used. Notes become slightly lower and easier for him to hit
