Liz, use the shivs only for the clickers, you can do the rest (runners) with your hands! Also when you are in a spot with a lot of infected, throw a bottle or brick and when they go to the spot then throw a Molotov. The fire takes some time, but it will kill them, so stay at a distance and hide! Also, you need shivs to open locked doors! Keep going, girl, you do it well!
Something else that the game doesn't tell you is that you can punch the glass on vending machines to get items inside. Some have snacks that are like mini health packs. But the glass breaking attracts infected too. You can use that or breaking windows to attract them and run around them.

I played this... once. And It's been a while. Don't remember much except you are doing better than I did. Remembering things only as I see them so no spoilers from me.
Cart: Still enjoying your playthrough, and I rate it higher than most of those I've watched. One reason -- you're actually exploring. Don't stop doing that, and take your time. I doubt any of your viewers are going to mind. As you noticed TLOU is a survival game. Supplies are in short, uh, supply, and managing your resources is a skill you'll get better at as you play the game. The key to this, though, is actually having resources to manage. Try your second playthrough in Grounded difficulty and you'll see what I mean. Don't waste shivs on any enemies but clickers. In my previous post (Part 1) I mentioned they can save you from scripted insta-deaths. You discovered what that death was in Part 2. Clickers are one-shot killers. You can take them out with bullets. You can take them out with melee weapons. You aren't supposed to be able to take them out with fists. Yes, I know. You did. I think it was because you stunned it with a weapon attack, first (your stick broke). I've never seen anyone take out a clicker in unarmed melee before this, so ... well done? Don't push your luck, though.
So when we have our own zombie apocalypse I know you are my Pathfinder, cause I love me some Liz pathing. Better than Google maps 😊. I think moving forward you ought to wear your bpm monitor, cause I swear your heart was going to blow through your chest meeting that first clicker.
SECOND EPISODE AMAZING!! I also reacted like that when I first saw a clicker!! Ellie is such a mood WHY ARE THE CARTS SO LOUD!! When playing this I always thought that the enemies would hear them when moving them around Uh oh Liz has found the Molotovs.. Liz is about to bring FIRE!! Little tiny tip, always make sure you have med kits on you "Do you have any croissants? Espresso?" You crack me up Liz The cutscene of the sunset with Ellie and Joel is so bittersweet! I love seeing you get the hang of the combat and dealing with the enemies! Keep SLAYINGGG Liz!
I only played this game through once back in 2014, Its nice that I waited so long because it makes the experience feel fresh. I would also recommend Deus Ex Human Revolutions and Mankind Divided, Assassins Creed IV Black flag, and the Mass Effect series for their immersion, though Deus Ex has the edge in terms of ambience and content, I must have beaten it ten times and I still find new stuff I didnt know about.

You don't need to worry about us judging you. You're doing fine. You're paying attention and learning. Just remember that any part of the game where you die 5 times, we've seen other people die 10 times.
I'm a huge TLOU fan I absolutely love both games Part 1 and Part 2 they are both masterpieces it's my favorite game series of all time. I always enjoy watching new people experience these games you are doing great. After you finish Part 1, be sure to play the DLC Left Behind you can find it on the main menu screen. It's also excellent and provides more context and insight to the main game and of Ellie. Afterwards play TLOU Part 2 PS5 Remastered... Their is also the HBO show which was an excellent adaptation, and Season 1 covers only the first game and the Left Behind DLC, so if you wanna watch it after finishing the first game you could. Hey Liz. If you are planning on playing Fallout 4, it might be a good to wait until the next gen update comes out at the end of the month. Hopefully it will make it more stable. It's a great game but it's really buggy. Just remember to quick save a lot.

I could give you some Tips but I watched you play and it did say stealth. I don't want to spoil nothing. I just realized your playing the remake on PS5 which has more options. Still the same as PS4 as the playthrough story.
Nice video and don't know if anyone said it or not but throwing a brick or a bottle at an enemy will stun them if you run towards them and press square you will 1 hit kill them unless it's a clicker so hope that helps.
Yea it can be quite helpful especially in chaotic gunfights, also shivs can be used to unlock some doors littered across the game each holding resources, ammo etc and well worth going after.
Technically, the infected are not zombies. Zombies are dead people; the "Infected" are alive but controlled by the fungus, (which cordyceps actually does with arthropods in real life!)
I don't think I've ever - ever - heard anyone I've watched over the years saying they are good, or even okay, at stealth. Everyone has that excuse. It's just never fails.
i played this game until i met the first clickers, and i died enough that i quit playing sham cause it an Awesome game and love story upto my stop playing need to start back and finish it at least

Liz a word of advice don't waste the shiv,s on the runners just choke them out and you must use the shiv's to stealth kill the clickers and you need to move quietly when approaching the clickers or you'll die cause I've noticed when it saids so on the screen but you keep doing the opposite 😂😂

Oh heck yeah, part 2 :) Cart pulling vid :P You read the document talking about CBI so I can say this, maybe later on it will click why I am saying this, "There is no vaccine for CBI"... nor there would be, there is no vaccine for any fungi, they cannot be made, no matter what, they simply cannot be made IRL, so there could never be a vaccine for the Cordyceps fungi.(Which BTW exists in real life, but only infects bugs) Tip: When the infected are "Dormant"(when they are still, looking to the ground crying, like the one on the cafe or the four in the outside area) you can approach them sneaking, they don't pay attention to you, and then you can sneak kill them without "waking up" the others With the Clickers it is hard, you need to barely push the stick and have a lot of patience, or have shivs available, but if you play in nightmare they detect you no matter what(You are in normal though, so they should really have not been able to spot you indeed)
Right on the mark, Charlyl. Vaccines cannot be made for fungal diseases. Full Stop. As much as I love what Naughty Dog did in TLOS, this is a fatal flaw with the entire premise of the game. I never fail to be amazed at how people actually argue that the Fireflies are doing the right thing in wanting to examine Ellie. It's clear that none of their doctors ever went to medical school (or that the developer's scientific advisors, if any, ever bothered to actually check this out). This is stuff I learned in my second year of college, and that was back in the late '60s. Yes, we've known this for at least that long. There's another issue with this whole thing, but I won't talk about it at this time because it would be dropping a major spoiler for later in the game.

lookout for the optional dialog icons, always engage those it adds to the story. They will disappear after a few seconds.

It's clear that none of their doctors ever went to medical school (or that the developer's scientific advisors, if any, ever bothered to actually check this out). This is stuff I learned in my second year of college, and that was back in the late '60s. Yes, we've known this for at least that long. There's another issue with this whole thing, but I won't talk about it at this time because it would be dropping a major spoiler for later in the game.
