Just a few tips below: 40:38 those are Shiv doors that require a shiv to open. Don't be afraid of them they are loaded with supplies I recommend opening all that you can. Also another cool feature is a thing called enhanced listen mode you can find and enable it in the Accessibility Options. It enables the ability to send out a pulse that scans for all nearby items |Circle| and enemies |Square| while in listen mode. Sends out a scan triggering audio at the target's location. The pitch of the sound changes based on the target's height relative to you. Also those 2 gun holsters the short and long gun holsters that you can craft at the workbench. Those are very helpful and make it so much easier to switch easily and faster between guns. I recommend getting them if you can.

Hi Liz! 21:00 “How the hell are you breathin' in this stuff”? Joel wonders how Ellie can and does breathe through this cloud of spores! Ellie is immune and therefore does not need an oxygen mask! She is not infected, but she is immune! Also, 52:41 yes, you have to open the door because you lost many supplies and documents, do not be afraid, that's the game ! Shotgun is only for short distances. Take your time, don't worry about us, we have patience! You make a good job, girl!

Hi Liz ...excellent playthrough. Tips: if you are "accidentally going where you are supposed to go," you are not going where you are not supposed to go and that is where all the goodies are. When you lifted Ellie over the gate, you did not search the house and hear Ellie learning how to whistle. You keep going up to shiv doors and then thinking they are locked. You open them with a shiv which breaks but you get lots of loot inside, so it's worth it. Always save a shiv for shiv doors :)
Red, back when I watched my wife play this game I always said "Click!" Out loud to let her know she ran out of bullets. It's great to see you play liz😂 1:25:50 best funny death reaction ever
Fun fact: Joel’s watch broke at the exact time Sarah was shot and killed as they rolled down the hill in the beginning. Him wearing it is a constant reminder of the literal time she passed.
Something to remember since they're "infected" and not "zombies" in the traditional sense. Zombies are undead. Infected are still alive. When you kill an infected, it stays dead. A lot of people call them zombies, and it doesn't really matter so long as you remember in this game the dead stay dead.
There's a lot of unsearched area in Bill's area. For example, the doors that needed to be shiv has a lot of free supplies, the empty house that you refuse to enter has a lot of supplies, and you forgot to check the big safety that needed a code. It's really frustrating that you skip that part. A lot of miss opportunity.
If you have a.weapon all you got to do is hit the punch button, even if you're in the middle of re-loading a weapon (as you were when killed) and you'll attack with it.
The moment we find out Tessa is infected and she tells them to go shows how amazing of a women she is and didn't deserve to die like that ☹That health part you picked up was like a health bar which Joel automatically ate and went towards his health, hope that makes sense! I love the conversations between Joel and Ellie even when Ellie is being sassy Haha don't worry Liz I searched in that area too! You're doing great went it comes to searching for loot, there has been times were I did miss little areas but its not a big deal so don't you worry! The knocking on the door also creeped me out and I skipped it DAMN when you was hanging from the ceiling, that part is crazy!! So much RED killing those infected and clickers!! Billy and Ellie's conversations made me laugh so much AMAZING THIRD EPISODE!!

You should visit Ely Cathedral, there's a fantastic stained glass museum there. It's in Cambridgeshire in Eastern England and near the fens so there's lots of water, just like Florida, but without the aligators.
I haven't played this game, but I have played Fallout 4, so when you came across that red vending machine, just for a moment I thought "Oh cool, maybe she can grab some Nuka-Cola!"
I’ve played last of us part one and part 2 In Cinema mode with my psvr and it is amazing!!! Sometimes the jump scares get you though You’ll start to get used to it
Red: Bill's town is my favorite part of this game. He's just so well-written. William Earl Brown did a fantastic job of both voice acting and performance capture. Doors. They're your friends. Go through them. Always. That door you skipped right before Bill's town had lots of valuable loot behind it. When you try a door and it's locked it's a "shiv door". You've missed a lot of good loot by ignoring these doors, including the one with the banging behind it. Use a shiv to get in and start looting. You won't regret it. You mentioned the Horizon games. Please do a playthough of at least Zero Dawn. I think you'll like this game. Note, if Ellie isn't in sneak mode you don't have to be in sneak mode. She automatically crouches if there's danger. If she's standing up and being all casual everything's clear. Tactical tips -- If you have companions and they're willingly engaging enemies with guns, let them do the heavy lifting. NPCs have unlimited ammo. You don't (obviously), so shoot sparingly, pick the most dangerous targets, and make each shot count. In situations like this you're probably better off adopting a support role rather than going full main character syndrome mode. When you're being swarmed do your best to locate clickers and prioritize them. You can take multiple hits from runners and stalkers. Clickers take you out in one bite. Bricks/Bottles: Don't just chuck them because you can. First, ask yourself if you should. If there's a single resting or distracted opponent it's best to make a manual stealth or ranged kill. Throw something and you might alert other enemies and then you have to deal with more than one at a time, and this inevitably means you're going to waste ammo. Use these things to distract the infected -- not to alert them to your presence. I don't know this for sure, but I think bottles are better at distracting. Bricks are probably better as weapons (both thrown and melee). It's a shame you can't carry one of each.
Can confirm: bottles are best for drawing attention/distraction and bricks are king for combat. You can use the brick as a bludgeon or throw it to stun an enemy and open them up to a melee attack.
Such a shame Tess had to die so early on 😢 And no I didn't go through that firefight bit stealthily lol I go in all guns blazing all the time 😂 Secret Word: Red 🔴
The Horizon games are a must play. The second one has better gameplay. It uses haptic feedback on the triggers so when you pull you bow back it feels really gritty and you can feel the tension. They did an amazing job with that.

I've noticed something Liz when you approach a door and it's locked the shiv icon will appear on the door so you can use your shiv to open it and you see the shiv doors has a lot stuff you can pick up like ammo and pills and supplies to craft more stuff trust me you cannot ignore those doors and in your previous gameplay in the two really tall buildings you missed a shiv door lol so look out for them Liz 😎😅
Hi 👋 The doors that require shivs always have good loot inside. I was hoping you would’ve gone inside the building next to the locked door (41 minute mark) Also lots of loot inside. ☹️

That was partially diligent searching you still missed quite a bit, but it doesn't really matter that much since you're playing on normal. Fair warning tho, you might pass up upgrades. Take risks!!
It's been interesting to see how the game was interpreted into the show. I actually like/prefer how they handled the Tess scene in the show versus here in the game
The bottles & bricks are meant to distract enemies not alert them. Having dead eye from RED Dead Redemption is something I always wish I had in other games.

Learn to reload strategically. When you were hanging upside down in Bill's trap you were holding down the aim trigger, so Joel was putting 1 bullet in at a time. That's why you died. Always try to have a fully loaded gun.
Saw someone else say you’d be disappointed by the show. It’s not that bad lol, it was a pretty good adaptation, it’s just not a 1:1 exact remake frame by frame of the game.

Loving your let's play as usual but, as an American, you should know that hitting someone with that short barreled pistol is very very hard unless it's actually touching your target. I'm wathcing this in bits as it is rather long but i'll see it all, don't worry
38:10 I realize this playthrough is already months old and it's your first playthrough but how could you miss such obvious loot placed right in front of you? Look at that shiny, looking, awesome, improvised weapon just laying there in front of you. 😂
Resources are kind of scarce in this game. I like guns a blazing as well, but I don't think it's the play. Could be wrong. Only played once. Maybe it's more forgiving of players who shoot a lot.
The scarcity of resources is tied to the play difficulty. On the easiest level you'll never run out of resources. On the highest difficulty you'll constantly be wondering where you'll find the next bullet to load into your empty gun.
@@LizXP Actually, she's not immune. Remember that she tested positive. The fungus is present in her body. The difference in Ellie's case is that the infection isn't progessing normally. The game presents a theory to account for this later on. The game is wrong on this issue, although the developers were oblivious to this biological fact (my credentials: 2 years pre-med, BS/MS in biology, and 30 years in the animal health industry). More on that when it comes up in-game.
I know it sounds weird, but Tess looks better on the ps3 version for some reason, she just looks tougher while still looking in her 40s. On the remake she looks just way too old, her face looks like she is in her mid 50s.

You really need to try to be more stealthy and stop throwing bricks or bottles randomly, if you do it, try to hit them, so you can take them out. Try to see thw bottles and bricks more as weapons, not only as distracting If you equiop them, you can melee kill with them Stealth is kinda needed in this game... But anyway, you do good

Throw something and you might alert other enemies and then you have to deal with more than one at a time, and this inevitably means you're going to waste ammo. Use these things to distract the infected -- not to alert them to your presence. I don't know this for sure, but I think bottles are better at distracting. Bricks are probably better as weapons (both thrown and melee). It's a shame you can't carry one of each.
Can confirm: bottles are best for drawing attention/distraction and bricks are king for combat. You can use the brick as a bludgeon or throw it to stun an enemy and open them up to a melee attack.

The Horizon games are a must play. The second one has better gameplay. It uses haptic feedback on the triggers so when you pull you bow back it feels really gritty and you can feel the tension. They did an amazing job with that.

I've noticed something Liz when you approach a door and it's locked the shiv icon will appear on the door so you can use your shiv to open it and you see the shiv doors has a lot stuff you can pick up like ammo and pills and supplies to craft more stuff trust me you cannot ignore those doors and in your previous gameplay in the two really tall buildings you missed a shiv door lol so look out for them Liz 😎😅
Hi 👋 The doors that require shivs always have good loot inside. I was hoping you would’ve gone inside the building next to the locked door (41 minute mark) Also lots of loot inside. ☹️

It's been interesting to see how the game was interpreted into the show. I actually like/prefer how they handled the Tess scene in the show versus here in the game

Learn to reload strategically. When you were hanging upside down in Bill's trap you were holding down the aim trigger, so Joel was putting 1 bullet in at a time. That's why you died. Always try to have a fully loaded gun.

You may consider lowering your aim sensitivity. It may be too high for you, which would explain why your aiming swings around so much.

Resources are kind of scarce in this game. I like guns a blazing as well, but I don't think it's the play. Could be wrong. Only played once. Maybe it's more forgiving of players who shoot a lot.

The scarcity of resources is tied to the play difficulty. On the easiest level you'll never run out of resources. On the highest difficulty you'll constantly be wondering where you'll find the next bullet to load into your empty gun.
Thankfully it was just a bottle & not a grenade. 😉

@@LizXP Actually, she's not immune. Remember that she tested positive. The fungus is present in her body. The difference in Ellie's case is that the infection isn't progessing normally. The game presents a theory to account for this later on. The game is wrong on this issue, although the developers were oblivious to this biological fact (my credentials: 2 years pre-med, BS/MS in biology, and 30 years in the animal health industry). More on that when it comes up in-game.

You really need to try to be more stealthy and stop throwing bricks or bottles randomly, if you do it, try to hit them, so you can take them out. Try to see thw bottles and bricks more as weapons, not only as distracting
