Great response. Reef surfing is best but comes with that risk. Fellow surfers looked out for him, and hope he recovers. I expect he will have gotten head cat scan by now to look for any brain midline shift (Im a RN) 🙏

Much perhaps..the board hits his head... He had lucky to keep floating somehow even unconscious...and latter the rescue guys saw him.....Muita sorte ele ter boiado mesmo incosciente e de alguma maneira deu tempo para o pessoal perceber o problema...

looks like when he pin-dropped he landed in the face of the wave instead of reaching the trough thus being sucked over the falls.
Lucky the boys were there to take action immediately, those lifeguards weren't very responsive.

I agree. He pinned dropped which can get them to penetrate enough for the power of the wave to go over them. Backdoor can be super nasty at this size.
