  • Former Zambian President Kenneth Kaunda has died at the Maina Soko Military Hospital. His son broke the news a short while ago. Kaunda, who was 97 years old, was being treated for pneumonia.

    Beautiful documentary. Levy Mwanawasa Mhsrip restored the dignity that was stripped off KK by the FTJ regime. 🇿🇲 RIP Super Ken

    A great tribute to an African Icon. A star of his generation. A true and selfless leader. It was a great honour to have met him at the Grace Hotel in Randburg. He's death is a big loss to Zambians and African. He maybe gone he'll forever be in our hearts. We love you and miss you.Your legacy lives on. Rest In Eternal Glory

    SABC Thanks much for refreshing up our minds about KK. Hope every one of us has to learn one or two lessons from his successes and failures, strengths and weaknesses. He was a human being just as we are. Struggles are real in life but it is our attitude that matters. Above all, we wish that on that great day - we will all shake hands again and share how his life had inspired many. #RIPKAUNDA

    Zambia was poor because they carried the burden south africa financially, logistically. They even gave exiled south africans excess to their country because of the rare breed leader Dr Kaunda and the zambians are flocking SA like other African citizens ddnt help SA. Anyway think to Dr Kaunda and your nation for everything you did for us blacks south africans. RIP son of the soil

      His parents are from Malawi, they forgot to mention where the parents came from. A person is born by parents, check his family history and origin.
