@properformancecricket
its amazing how good sachin was. this kid is a prodigy(which he is) an lil sach was opening the batting in a one dayer smacking blokes
Yep that's why Sachin is one of if not the greatest of all time!!
I'd be cautious when hurrying to call anybody a prodigy. We heard the same thing about Will Pucovski and where are we 12 or 13 concussions later
Thanks Juan, It's all about how you define the word prodigy. Just because someone got concussed many times doesn't mean he wasn't streaks ahead of his peers at a certain time. You're right there are no certainties in life or cricket but this youngster is scoring more runs than anyone his age for a long time.
@@properformancecricketis he going to play for Australia in future?
@@thanos4570 Who knows - Time will tell - long way to go but he is very talented
Look at the guys scores in-between concussions it's about the only thing that can stop him
@thanos4570 by watching this I'd say YES.. some of them drives Vs a guy bowling at 150 clicks (morris) is crazy at 17....
I like how still he is, not all this unconventional movement you get today.
This is how I was taught and good to see it still being used
Yep keeps it very simple.
I think all of you who criticize him should appreciate his talent age of 17.can they face lance morris and boland?they just here for comments and criticizing they have no work and jealous of another talent.
Well Said!!
All the best to the young guy hope he retains fitness and work ethic required for international level..All the best🎉
Thanks for the comment Vipul. He is a talented young players but there is a long journey ahead of him.
Another masterclass is coming❤
Let’s hope so
Sam face boland in cricket pratice 🎉😂❤
💪🏽
Being fussy: I’d like to see his back foot move occasionally! Move your feet not your foot. Tremendous eye and bat work though.
Yep this footage is from a while ago - he has a wonderful work ethic and is working on all aspects of his game including his set up
Our sachin sir played akram , waqar at the age of 16
God of cricket for a reason ❤
Why compare?
Yep there are a lot of good players out there - obviously Sachin is one of the greats!
@@northshorecouple1060 like this comment - everyone has their own journey in the game ahead of them
A long way to go! I wouldn't put that label on him!
I like how he doesn't have a trigger movement because for his age, he needs to have as much time as possible to play the ball so he must continue this and develop a trigger movement as he goes on in his career.
He's a natural talent and sees the ball better than most.
@@properformancecricket yes he is seeing the ball well but it seems like he is having problems with pace.
Good luck young man 👍
Thanks David!!
Criticisms appear to consist of - "He isn't Sachin Tendulkar". Absolutely world class commentary lads. Clearly most 17 year old cricketers would be holding their own versus test standard bowlers. Christ...
haha Yep - the word Prodigy has ignited some passion. Fact is the young man can play - where his career gets to is unknown but he's got some talent and it will be fun to watch
Is he the same who is captaining Australia in current u19 wc ?
Yep He’s playing for the AUS U19 in the world
Cup
How long ago was this
Sydney Test last year
He scored a very nice 100 in the u19 World Cup just recently… hope he does well tonight in the 2 semi final against pakistan
Yep fingers crossed for tonight!!
Bowled to many times straight through the gate at the under 19 worlds for him to be considered a prodigy.
Kid can play
Thanks for the comment Luke!!
Bounce him !
He loves a pull shot
Well that’s ruined his career.
💁♂
Always looked hurried tbh
Not surprising at 17 vs test quality quicks in the nets
@@properformancecricket well apparently hes a prodigy. Talented probably but lose use of the word prodigy clearly.
@@Stowerslemalu Well define the term "Prodigy" for me then. He is in a select group of young players that is well ahead of the rest of his peers. Debuted for NSW at 18 and has looked the part. At the time of this post he had scored more runs than any other 16 year old in the history of competitions that have been running since 1936 (Greenshield). At the same age had scored many more First Grade hundreds than Michael Clarke and Steve Smith. The kid is super talented whether you use the term prodigy or not he's got a bright future ahead of him. Nothing is guaranteed in this game but he's as well placed as anyone at his age to succeed.
@@properformancecricket there is talent there obviously not doubting that, I know at 17 i aint doing that that ( or now for that
Matter) I just personally expected a Sachin at 16-17 who would bat like he's getting throwdowns with the bowlers featured in the nets.
@@Stowerslemalu no batsman ever finds it easy to face the world's best bowlers. Sachin would nick them too from time to time. Steve Smith get's ducks etc. Anyway the term Prodigy is just a term.
No trigger, No foot movement very risk
Keeps it simple
Yeah, great stuff. Keeping still and balanced is clearly a terrible idea.
meh
Thanks for the comment legend!
@@properformancecricketThese are indians, they just want every youtuber to talk about Virat Kohli, don't mind them.
This guy facing these bowlers in nets with full protection then imagine a 16 year old boy facing worlds most deadliest bowling attack in Pakistan that’s why he’s god
Thanks Ram!!
Can only assume you are talking of Sachin.
Mate nobody can compare to him, let’s be real.
Just appreciate the video and nit compare to an all time great of the game
I'd compare smithy to Sachin any day Budd esp when his average is easily higher. I do admit Sachin easily faced a better generation of bowlers
@@dazzabrah3208 smithy is legend ,who will be next smith and warner for aus??
@@Won49 matt short plays bbl for tje strikers and will puzkovski ( hes concusion free) 18 months now hes is good... bowling wise Lance morris is damn good he can bowl 155 constantly over long spells in the wa heat .. i honestly think our opening pair going ahead should be Renshaw/head... thats after kuwaja retires next season... i dont know why smith is even mentioned in rerirement yet he hasnt won a series in england or india yet he clearly wants to which gives him 3 more seaaons puts him at age 37 hardie will also play for australia....
What’s so special?
Youth Player competing with some of the best bowlers in the country.
i remember when josh philipe was earmarked as the next big thing of australian cricket a few years back...now he's barely a fringe journeyman in domestic circles...so yea ..all these so called prodigies are nothing but overrated hypejobs.
Yep it's a hard journey and not everyone makes it. There are no guarantees but someone has to play for Australia in the next generation and at present this boy is ahead of the pack.
@@properformancecricket i personally rate harjas singh and hugh weibgen higher than him..
@@poo-tinthedwarfbunkerb1tch535 Nice - let's hope they all do well.
I don’t remember Phillippe being hyped up but I do remember the likes of Ponting, Martyn and Slater being touted as future stars.
@@longjohn5322 well both martyn and ponting were flat track bullies of the highest order...so there's that....
