That's a dig, no? I was wondering how a no-dig dahlia situation would work considering I have to disrupt my soil to pull them out, and then later dig to replant them.
Initially I suppose there is a small amount of digging involved! but only a few inches deep. The deeper roots and soil ecosystem are undisturbed .But we actually leave ours in for several years and they have their own dedicated bed so we aim to disturb the soil as little as possible. Certainly minimal when compared to conventional methods of tilling with machinery.
This is just what I needed before I make my first attempts to divide my dahlias. Really appreciated the planting out details!! Thank you
