Mike was a total gentleman and humble to boot
I run a small shop in Delaware. He walked into my shop one day and said I hear you have an old dobro ?
I got it out for him and got an hour long private lesson and consert. He love my old dobro. I still play it and love it.
I loved Mike as well. Bless him for leaving us such good energy.
Beautiful slide work!
I have his 1986 dobro. And it sounds so sweet.
God Bless you Uncle Mike. I wish I knew you more. From what I know you were so kind and talented. May you rest in peace. May all the love and your angels guide you and surround you.
Wow, Just found out that Mike passed away just before the New Year. So sorry to hear and another legend of Bluegrass music goes away. What an inspiration Mike. Im constantly going back on TH-cam to watch you with the Seldom Scene on the Tommy Hunt show as well as Rider which appears to be a peformance in the new opry house. Rest in peace and may God Bless your family and dear friends..
An amazing beautiful person who graced this earth with a beautiful way of producing sounds never to be forgotten.
Mike was a cool dude and a great musician and teacher. I was fortunate to have a 2-hour pedal steel lesson which was fun and instructive. I will always remember it and he cut tracks meanwhile, which I will always have. Thanks, Mike!
Miss you. Super reso player and kind man.
He will be missed but his music and unique sound will still live on.
a true LEGEND.......... Wonderful playing!!!
thanks for posting this video, I am sharing it with family and friends on facebook as our dear uncle died today
Amazing! Thanks Mike.
A true legend is gone. R.I.P. Mike Auldridge
I wonder if the MA-6/MA-8 Dobro's that were built before his passing {since he played and signed off on each one} will be worth more to a collector now? As Mr Beard was told By Mr Auldridge he could continue making them.............
