It was pretty cool to notice their attention to detail and ability to make things seem very much legitmate.
That scientist was a bit too eager for my taste. Exactly how many D-Class expired in this research? Did he at least reuse them? If he didn't then he spends Foundation resources quite liberally...
Well the D class didn't die persay, as the bodies are healthy. In my opinion I would say somewhere around 60-70 D class were used. I would say only a small portion of D class if any are expired, many could be used for an infinitely running AI.
To be fair that SCP could have mind boggling implications for the foundation. Just the ability to migrate souls from one body to another is big. It offers another layer between essential personnel and death. Not to mention being able to upgrade the cognitive abilities of researchers should understanding of that machine be achieved... Or infinite energy.
I have decided to write a file for the SCP Foundation which I am not going to say since this is my first file to create and I do not want to risk losing it. I have imagined an anomaly, but I'm having some trouble getting motivated. I decided to write a rough draft of the file first on paper irl. I should do the description of the anomaly on my draft before the containment procedures, shouldn't I? And then switch them when time comes to publish it.
@@WaallyOne Yeah, probably a good idea. I will just say the object class of what it will be, and then once I have the rough draft all done, then I'll say a little more about it including the item #. Item #: (Yet to come) Object Class: Euclid (Could change in the near future, still working on it)
It would've been a Euclid class anomaly, located in [REDACTED], Alaska known as *The Polite Waters* . Basically, anything inorganic touching it would be dissolved in a matter of minutes while anything organic would be completely safe, and all types of organisms could breathe while in it, and if one were to stay in it for an hour straight, then they themselves would turn into an instance of SCP-6001-2 which would take away that person's ability to breathe elsewhere.
I like this SCP, it feels the most "fitting" for this universe, the entire SCP feels like a deep mythic research. Although it also one of the most terrifying, how many people did that Dr. kill for his "experiment" what about the laptop soul? It's terrifying.
Extracting the soul out of 096, 173, 682, and maybe 049 could reveal some answers. Like why the shy guy hides its face, why 173 is vise versa, 682 could be contained and 049 should be told to perform surgery without his other body to see if its his physical existence that is anomalous.
Obviously attempting those could be dangerous.. They don't want to risk losing such a beneficial SCP. Though ADDING extracted souls to object SCPs could be interesting.
I'm not sure which is more terrifying. The idea of something like this existing, or the idea of an agency like that having it. And what's with all those red shirt types just blindly going along with having their very souls taken and played with?
@@Sentinel82 In real life there's a similar concept. Prisoners agree to be subjected to experimentation and in exchange their sentences get shortened then commuted. Sometimes this has resulted in death. Still, there is a thing called "informed concent" where they still need to be informed of the risks, and while normally an experimental risk of death weighed against a certainty of death is an obvious choice most real prisoners when faced with the prospect of their souls being imprisoned or experimented on would choose death. That said the US government has and frequently does perform illegal medical studies. In the 70's nerve gas was deployed against US soldiers without informing them just to see what would happen and they didn't even follow up on them to determine long term health impacts. It wasn't until years later that soldiers were notified of what was done to them. Then in 1982 an illegal medical study was conducted at the Beaufort South Carolina Naval Hospital in which the pregnant wives of soldiers were given an illegal drug without telling them that it was illegal or that they were in a study. It wasn't until 1992 when information became public, but only be a the victims attempted lawsuit. The US government responded by moving the medical records from that hospital to a military service database in St Louis without an identifying number. This had the effect of burying the records because you need a military service ID to find a record. To this date the US government has refused to take responsibility. Attempts to file complaints through the Department of Justice results in a response that the Naval Hospital is independent even though the Doctor was working for the DOJ. I'm not aware of any more recent studies, but since the US government has experimented on soldiers and their families already without informed consent I guess it's a bit more believable that an organization like the NSP would treat prisoners even worse.
@@Sentinel82 Of course. When Einstein was asked why he helped the government after his research was weaponized after being explicitly told that it wouldn't be he sarcastically responded with: "If you can't trust your government who can you trust?" Today antivaxxers are as much of a problem as people who over vaccinate (both extremes are equally bad which I can explain if you are curious) but can you blame people? During the cold War very young children were injected with radioactive isotopes while being told it was a vaccine and that wasn't the first or last time the government used fake vaccines in illegal medical studies. Those were of course rare. Extremely rare. You are far more likely to die of smallpox (which has recently re evolved in Alaska as Alaskapox) than you are to be subjected to such a study, but that's exactly how people begin to believe in widespread conspiracies. I think the real problem is a lack of accountability. Since federal agents have absolute immunity from civil damage and since prosecutors can choose not to prosecute rarely are there any consequences. Victims who know about it must fight for decades for admission and usually the culprits die of old age before anyone admits to it. Given this reality it's much harder to trust the government.
id like to know if his regenerative capability is related to his body or his soul if its anything related to the scp christian myths, then its probably related to its soul meaning you can contain scp 682 more easly by transfering his soul to a weaker, more managable body, like a Podarcis sicula(italian wall lizard, 9 cm in lenght) ranking it down to euclid

Since putting souls in objects seem to make them "come back to life", as seen with the assistant's broken computer, I wonder what would happen if a soul were to be inserted into the burnt instructions manual. Hell can one use this on Dr Bright and 939? The Amulet, see if you can in fact extra Bright out of it and exchange his body with the snail that is Lord Blackwood. Just for shits and giggles.
I wish this was a podcast. The videos are great! But, I wanna be able to lock my phone and go to sleep with these on
Brave Browser plays with phone locked if you have Android. Not sure about Apple.
If you get youtube premium, you can download all videos, and play them with the screen turned off, works on both Androids & iPhones.
Now I kinda want someone to accidentally spill a container of an extracted soul on SCP 79 xD
Imagine it, the computer fighting with a human soul for control over itself.
Thanks 4 the hard work
This is awesome!
Its like creations or ideas from a parallel universe.
Edit: If you examine real hard, you can see when the picture is looping based on the right-tabletop Reel player.
And when you see the guy drinking coffee, its actually a fully uncut scene that folds back into the loop.
@@bestaround3323 Yeah they were just put into comas.
@@laughingman2082 Too put it quite simply. Let's be honest people, we have sacrificed far more for far less.
"Trial and error are my middle name!"
That's a hell of an epitaph for your tombstone, but hey, you do you.
As for the thumbnail She's definitely D-Class alright..😏.
This scp is amazingly put together
I have decided to write a file for the SCP Foundation which I am not going to say since this is my first file to create and I do not want to risk losing it. I have imagined an anomaly, but I'm having some trouble getting motivated. I decided to write a rough draft of the file first on paper irl. I should do the description of the anomaly on my draft before the containment procedures, shouldn't I? And then switch them when time comes to publish it.
I haven't written one before but I would suggest that you make the SCP first then write the containment procedures around that
@@WaallyOne Yeah, probably a good idea. I will just say the object class of what it will be, and then once I have the rough draft all done, then I'll say a little more about it including the item #.
Item #: (Yet to come)
Object Class: Euclid (Could change in the near future, still working on it)
How did it go?
@@forsakenfish I quit it after realizing I wasn't really paying much attention to it
It would've been a Euclid class anomaly, located in [REDACTED], Alaska known as *The Polite Waters* .
This is the same claw that appeared on scooby doo movie
Skyrim conjuration can teach the scientists with the skill needed
Take soul out run it through the clockworks as that is happening body gets sent to the improver.
9:20 Easy, put the substance contained in the vial INTO 914 on very fine, improving them further xD
well done guys you just freak the shit out of me this should be made into a movie
I like this SCP, it feels the most "fitting" for this universe, the entire SCP feels like a deep mythic research.
Although it also one of the most terrifying, how many people did that Dr. kill for his "experiment" what about the laptop soul? It's terrifying.
that thumbnail though
Could we use this to transfer a human's soul into an SCP's body? I would like to research farther into this... -Dr. J.L. Priddy
"Hey guys, you ever play Doom 2016? Well I think I just figured out how to make Argent energy!"
Could this be use to stop scp 682 ?
...so it's a more advanced mechanical dementor...
THIS IS HOW WE TAKE CARE OF 682!!!! WE TAKE THE SOUL AND REMOVE THE HATRED OF LIFE!! he won't be dead, but we won't need him to be!
@@electrobob992 either are equally as dangerous, but the research benefits outweigh the risk
You have no idea of how many scps' bodies I would like to try by using scp 158
I'm not sure which is more terrifying. The idea of something like this existing, or the idea of an agency like that having it. And what's with all those red shirt types just blindly going along with having their very souls taken and played with?
D-classes are prisoners used for experimentation.
@@Elliandr Yes I've heard stories here and there. Pretty horrifying. Then people wonder why there are some who don't trust the government. 🤣
@@Sentinel82 Of course. When Einstein was asked why he helped the government after his research was weaponized after being explicitly told that it wouldn't be he sarcastically responded with:
"If you can't trust your government who can you trust?"
Today antivaxxers are as much of a problem as people who over vaccinate (both extremes are equally bad which I can explain if you are curious) but can you blame people?
@@Elliandr 100% agree 👍🏻
Lmao the researchers are having fun
Day 158 of using 682 to be experiment material in Project Palisade canon
Does 682 have a soul?
Let's find out
- PP verse's DrBright
id like to know if his regenerative capability is related to his body or his soul
if its anything related to the scp christian myths, then its probably related to its soul meaning you can contain scp 682 more easly by transfering his soul to a weaker, more managable body, like a Podarcis sicula(italian wall lizard, 9 cm in lenght) ranking it down to euclid
You are implying the tiny lizard won't immediately adapt to become the new SCP 682
@@polkalamypekopeko2969 he only would need to adapt to threat to himself or he would not keep himself right now to a currently managable(by the fundation) lizard and enstead transform to a planet sized lizard like when the foundation thrown him to the sun
so i do think him being 9cm would not be a threat as long you dont try to kill it
From the art it appears that souls are contained in frontal chestal regions.
Why does this sound like an alternate premise for Full Metal Alchemist?
I wonder what this actually would do to doctor Bright. Something to think about really.
so did anyone else realize something about SCP-158 being in the first live action scooby doo movie ?
Dude accidentally made a mini emperor of mankind.
Hm, well, I think a new set of Nuremberg Doctors' trials are in order!
We tried this on Dr.Clef with no noticeable change. Whether because he has no soul or no higher brain functions is not yet known.
The guy basically created a new SCP
Such a interesting SCP
Can we get more of this
Judging by its aesthetic, it was probably built by Father during his early years as an alchemist.
SCP-158: the character creation menu
Good job way to go
is there an SCP that can restore damaged things? or revert time? might be helpful for the manual.
This is how you get mobs with torches and pitchforks
Since putting souls in objects seem to make them "come back to life", as seen with the assistant's broken computer, I wonder what would happen if a soul were to be inserted into the burnt instructions manual. Many of the hurdles researchers have faced with regards to this particular SCP were about understanding how to operate it, and if I am correct in this, they could save a good number of years of experimentations.
-Dr.[EXPUNGED]
1) The object was a laptop, not a book. Results might not be the same
And
2) The pages with valuable info are destroyed, I doubt soul would gain knowledge of something that is long gone
3:53 would this be a body swap? 19:49 Ironically there are some names that include numbers in some languages. Like how "Ichigo" in japanese includes the word "Ichi" which is "1" in japanese
0:26 they finna took the hallway from SCP:SL and edited in foundation dudes
Isn’t this sort of the plot in Kaiba?
Dr.Birght might be saved from his eternal life with this, also lizard could be changed to being neutralized as its evolving properties are in its body not in soul.. Also it could ''save'' couple of other scps like the girl inside the drawing.
Also one of the first experiments i would try would be placing soul inside human shaped object or object with properties to move like human. Also I would check if animals have souls as it would make testing much easier and less ''evil''.
Also some scps could be checked if they posses soul like devil deal in which it theorized that u are not making deal with devil but it s effect of the desk itself.
Nah. Testing on animals simply for experimentation or amusement isnt any less evil. Better to use the worst D-classes.
@@Sentinel82 Look i know that in our World that is the case in some example but if in that world we could clearly see that animals do not posses soul and humans do, it would actualy show that human race is difrent from them, better and so using animals would be less evil.
Also not all d-class personel are criminals and some of them were just affected by scp.
So early test were nov of 2008..... late test was feb 2008..... so soul timeloop....???????
I hope the Scp foundation doesn’t find me, since I showed this to my brother
Arasaka must be drooling for this scp
this machine capable of invading domain of gods
Soul Gem Crafting Unlocked.
Imagine if Eric Cartman got hold of this
I, and likely many more fans of skips, would likely appreciate a less click bait thumbnail haha
Potential pathway to immortality. If you can provide a advance synthetic body.
Or healthy bodies.
Or the soul depletes itself and still dies.
Hmm so it dosen't kill them but it can reverse it too hmm
