To stretch the legs you might make it more targeted by anchoring the upwards force to the hips instead of stretching through arms and shoulders. When the tension is spread through the spine it probably doesn't do anything for the legs. And if there was a way to isolate the stretch between femur and tibia so the tension is more on the bones instead of the knee joint, could be worth a try also. Hopefully he becomes aware of this for the 6 month experiment.
To get more focus on the leg stretching, the stretching force upwards would need to be anchored to hip area instead of shoulders. And if there was a way to isolate the stretch between femur and tibia (so the tension is more on the bones instead of the knee joint), could be worth a try also.

A couple things. What you are doing is not effecting bone, necessarily for height it might be doing some bone remodeling, but that isn't going to affect your height much. So what you are doing is increasing the disc thickness. By stretching, you pull on the disc, forcing fluid into your disc, allowing them to be more hydrated and "thicker" short term, but you are, in fact, remodeling the disc tissue. Soft tissue, unlike muscle does not have its own blood supply and must leach from surrounding tissues to grow. That means it take MONTHS to actually grow noticeably. In the study after 6 weeks with MRI there was actually a growth of intervertebral height of 1 mm (from actual tissue growth not just fluid). Now you might not think that is much but that is 1mm per disc. Meaning if you remove the neck unless you also stretched your cervical spine, there are 12 thoracic vertebrae and 5 lumbar vertebrae so that is 17 mm. So overall, that would equate in a 6 week period to a 1.7 cm height increase. If you keep doing it, you will eventually run to a point where the discs won't continue to get longer or thicker, but it will help keep that fluid in there and help with degenerative disc disease. Now, as to why your late day height measurement increase could be due to hydration. You are allowing more tissue space in the disc that after a night of sleep not drinking for 8 hours and no movement there might be some shrinkage from where they were stretched to. This is actually showing you've increased the ability for your disc's to gain more fluid throughout the day instead of lose it. Very good experiment.

It would theoretically be better if you did the stretch right before sleeping because if you get out of the chair and start walking this would reapply gravity force on your legs and it might compress them again. so if you did this before bed and then quickly got into bed and slept this would kinda "lock in" your progress because the bones will heal while you sleep in that elongated state. Also, you can do this stretch in a way easier way (but only for the tibia) by just sitting by your bed with your legs dangling (you need a tall bed or any other tall place you can sit on where your legs don't touch the ground) and use weights on your feet (maybe some type of ankle weight) that pull and stretch your tibias down and then after you're done stretching you take the weights off and without standing back up you get into bed and sleep normally.

Hello, I congratulate you in advance for such hard work and effort in maintaining this exhausting routine to see if it is possible to grow as an adult. I wanted to mention that in your videos about growth I have not seen high intensity exercises on a constant basis, you have shown stretching and sessions where you stretch your legs and arms which is correct to seek an increase in height through microfractures. Any increase by simply greater stretching in the joints of your body will be temporary, posture can help you but there comes a point where the gain is minimal or null if you already have a decent posture. What we seek is to grow permanently, right? Well, the only way to do this is bone growth or perhaps proper daily health to maintain the joints but as I said before the gain is minimal. Currently the only way for it to be permanent is bone growth, the big problem is that once your growth plates close definitively, between 18 and 25 years, there is no way for there to be an increase in the bones. This is where the theory of Wolf's law comes in, or as such, the methods to generate these microfractures in the bones in high-impact activities or activities that generate long-term growth stimuli. Within these activities you have the two most effective ones, which are basketball and swimming, in addition to this you have yoga and the stretches that you have done on the floor or on the stairs, on the other hand you have specific activities that also help you, which are riding a bicycle with the seat higher or doing sprints at 100% for several series. In theory this, with everything you've already been doing, should give you a permanent increase in height in your bones, but I honestly don't know of any case that is 100% true or real that confirms this.
There are also more extreme cases, such as sleeping stretched out on the floor with your legs and arms stretched out. Or doing it with weights on your calves and letting them hang down. More on these methods can be found in the case of a person called Rustam Akhmetov, his case seems real but as I said before it is not 100% true.
Your body weight is a bit big for the small muscles and tendons around the spine and with reversed posture for the first times you created little damages in these tissues. So there many small local inflamnations occured also. These makes the tissues shorter for a period. If you practice spine streching with bending forward and backward gently for months and use the reverse pose with smaller angle (perhaps with a wooden board put on the side of the sofa) it can give 2-4 cms if your spine was stiff and shortened as many people have. If your spine is healthy it cannot give so much extra height. (Exept you are an astronaut :) )
I am tired of getting bullied that I am short. My height is 152 and I am 32 F. Everyone told me that my growth plate has closed already and no chance for me to increase my height. But seeing this vid gained me hope. I hope I can increase my height just an inch or 2. Ill be very happy. :)
There was a time when I actually did a lot of these same techniques and grew one inch taller and stayed that height. At that time I was 25 years old and through my teens and early 20s I didn’t treat my body well by dieting and restricting myself too much. Maybe this does work if you are still young enough to add to your bone stores and you were restricting yourself too much previously.
@@juandaviduribe8267 I used an inversion table daily, increased calorie and protein intake, started taking the supplements he talked about, started doing strength training exercises, using a red light and prioritizing sleep. I was just trying to become healthier overall when I unexpectedly grew an inch and even went up half a shoe size. I’m 31 now and still at 5”1’ up from my original 5 feet.
I am basically the exact same height, 183.5 in the morning and around 181 in the afternoon. I lose more height than you since I am overweight at 94kg and, I also have a neck hump which probably reduces my height even further. This gives me hope that once I lose the weight and lose the neck hump as well as become fitter I can become a legit 6 foot.
I think as we age our fascia slowly contracts and our joints get increasingly compressed in parallel with decreasing flexibility. That is one thing old people have in common they are shorter and less flexible than they where when they where young. Since you are still young I think you have reversed some of the initial compression. if you stop decompressing your spine compression will resume at normal rate and slowly worsen as you age. although you have set back your starting point somewhat so your compression rate might always be a view years behind of what it would have bean otherwise. If you continue to decompress over years you will become slightly taller still. You wlil also prevent the contraction of fascia and its associated compression as you age. Therefore if you never stop maintaining that level of decompression you most likely will remain that height in to old age.
You need to do a full year experiment bro. There’s a lot of changes every full cycle in the body. Old cells dies new cells are born . You are on to something!

The only ideal way to actually get taller is for your limbs to grow. Otherwise its not very aesthetic or useful. Id think that his hypothesis that its decompression is spot on.
Yeah, I think it was extra decompression, but there also would be an area where it could be too much, I believe. There would have to be a balance. I agree with your logic, it makes sense. In hot yoga, we did various moves to lengthen the spine, we even measured it. But yes, the time consumption sounds annoying.
Your change in height was most likely due to posture changes / some changes in the curvature of your spine, both of which are very good for your overall health! Thanks for sharing!

I remember watching “on the waterfront” A Marlon Brando classic. If you are not familiar with this film it’s set on the New York docks back in the 50’s. The director Elia Kazan wanted it to be as real as possible so he cast real longshore men into the film. There was one scene where a docker who was father of Marlon’s love interest begs her not to take the relationship any further and then he shows his daughter both his outstretched arms and says one arm is 2 inches longer than the other that’s through years of slinging a hook. I thought it was interesting because the character was a real docker and it must of been a real experience. So what exercise would resemble “slinging a hook” Iam not too sure but perhaps cycling and kicks. That’s my two pennies I thought I would share.
No shit, I’m 45 and a couple of years ago started foam rolling and stretching due to a back strain from over running. I gained 1/2” in height and was a bit concerned. You’re the first person I’ve seen that implies it might be “normal” 😂
You continue, just doing the resistance bands when you sleep. That way it's during the body's optimal recovery time and it doesn't have to impact every day life as much
It seems that after you implemented the bar stretch to help get your upper back is when things really took off for the results. I wonder if bad posture over time can cause our joints to contract. It seems possible that implementing your daily posture maintenance and your upper back stretch caused your upper joints to elongate. I would love to see you hanging from a bar for a period of time every day, focusing on allowing your joints to be pulled down by gravity. Something simple like a bar hang could also be done multiple times a day. 14:10 Maybe some time collecting that data would be much more manageable, and something that more of us can experiment with too. Thank you for the awesome data.
Keep going with those joint supplement as you get older bro. I use lots of those substances and my joints is so much better it is unreal. It feels like I have de aged my joints decades. And I use them HARD, including running and sprinting on asfalt with just barefoot shoes.
Also try banded sleeping and heavy plyometrics followed by strategic stretching. Do it for an year and also supplement collagen. Maybe trying micro cycles of testosterone and supplements to boost IGF1 & GH could work too
Inversion on a table and swinging can help blood flow in the legs and over all body so then you get old you don't have issues with spider veins, etc...
Guys. Your height is based on genetics. It can not be altered through supplements or any other workout . Learn to accept yourself and be the most best version of yourself.
Have you seen aerial yoga? You can do that instead of inversion over the stairs. All you need is a pull up bar & aerial yoga hammock. I'm just getting into it now, it looks pretty cool & scary!
There are a couple of studies where they applied heat (around 40C) to the hind-limbs of rabbits, both adult and infants. Infant hindlimbs grew more with rather than without heat. Adults also grew their hindlimbs, but to a lesser degree (only around 10% of the growth the infants experienced iirc). So you might want to try sauna or a heating pad.

I know that the experiment is over, but if you're planning to do something like this in the future, could you check these excercise out? 1 Cycling - not just any way but making sure the seat is consistently a little higher for your legs, so that when you are in the fully stretched postion while riding you won't be able to feel the pedal for a small moment, hope you get what I mean. 2 Sleeping with ankle weights on - So you attach ankle weights on your ankles and then sleep with your legs dangling off the bed while your knee acts as a pivot ig. The principal is that growth occurs while sleeping, so if there's a constant force on your legs(gravity pulling down on your legs), you're bones are forced to permenantly grow taller. Alternatively, if this is too difficult, you can just do it for 1 hour before sleeping and then take the ankle weights off. For both cases make sure to not stand up after as it might cause you to "lose" all the height. 3 Masai jumps - look it up online. It's a type of jump that members of a tribe in Africa constantly do to grow taller, apparently it's why they are some of the tallest people. I'm super interested to see if this actually works and you seem to be meticulous person in your experiments, so figured the results would be reliable and accurate if you did this.

What did you do specifically? The inverted stretch thing?
@@juandaviduribe8267 I used an inversion table daily, increased calorie and protein intake, started taking the supplements he talked about, started doing strength training exercises, using a red light and prioritizing sleep. I was just trying to become healthier overall when I unexpectedly grew an inch and even went up half a shoe size. I’m 31 now and still at 5”1’ up from my original 5 feet.
Right on. This was cool. Real, insightful, and useful at that.
The background music in this video is FIRE 🔥
try this for 6 months
I am basically the exact same height, 183.5 in the morning and around 181 in the afternoon. I lose more height than you since I am overweight at 94kg and, I also have a neck hump which probably reduces my height even further. This gives me hope that once I lose the weight and lose the neck hump as well as become fitter I can become a legit 6 foot.
Love the video. Love the comments just as much as
Bro these vids are crazy. Ur a genius
If someone remained consistent for a year. I could see it making an greater difference and perhaps even help with spine health.
Totally grateful for the true effort you put into these experiments! They are entertaining and quite informative. GREAT work!!!
Please keep going please. It was very impressive. More results please.

Can you also try consuming a lot of milk and height growth meals? Thanks for the video

That’s my two pennies I thought I would share.
your best video till now...what's this microfracture method of height gain that people keep talking about `
No shit, I’m 45 and a couple of years ago started foam rolling and stretching due to a back strain from over running. I gained 1/2” in height and was a bit concerned.
You’re the first person I’ve seen that implies it might be “normal” 😂
Great video like always
Another banger bro, look into raised seat cycling.
Experiments are always interesting 🧐👍👍👍
Maybe your longer and longer hair cushioning your head caused you to "gain" height?
That's exactly my suspicion. Looked to the comments immediately for someone to point this out and it seems like you're the only one that did.
Keep going with those joint supplement as you get older bro.
I use lots of those substances and my joints is so much better it is unreal.
It feels like I have de aged my joints decades. And I use them HARD, including running and sprinting on asfalt with just barefoot shoes.

Do banded sleeping and apply wolf's law and cause microfractures to your bones with Maasai jumps, sprints....
Also try banded sleeping and heavy plyometrics followed by strategic stretching. Do it for an year and also supplement collagen. Maybe trying micro cycles of testosterone and supplements to boost IGF1 & GH could work too
What would be such strategic stretching?
Inversion on a table and swinging can help blood flow in the legs and over all body so then you get old you don't have issues with spider veins, etc...
if you ever did this again you should try supplementing collagen

Guys. Your height is based on genetics. It can not be altered through supplements or any other workout . Learn to accept yourself and be the most best version of yourself.
It is based on environment/lifestyle, how do you think DNA trends come to be? Lol
The increase may seem small but this is actually crazy.
I feel like your hair grew and it added to your height 😅
but the rapid decrease after stopping the stretches mean those had an effect
21:07 I think you’re joint pad theory has something to it.
Will you experiment with the Satotz run for me? It's a character off of the show Hunter x Hunter.
the beast weight 1 month plan is there a specific age ?
Have you seen aerial yoga? You can do that instead of inversion over the stairs. All you need is a pull up bar & aerial yoga hammock. I'm just getting into it now, it looks pretty cool & scary!
There are a couple of studies where they applied heat (around 40C) to the hind-limbs of rabbits, both adult and infants. Infant hindlimbs grew more with rather than without heat. Adults also grew their hindlimbs, but to a lesser degree (only around 10% of the growth the infants experienced iirc).
So you might want to try sauna or a heating pad.

What model of stadiometer is that? Thank you! Great video and I appreciate that people can see the difference between morning height/afternoon height and night height
Interesting input!!
Do you do stretching in the morning or afternoon, please answer me
you should do masai jumps that put pressure on the bones and make microfractures and then sleep while getting decompressed by the cables
