I have AOS and didn’t know prosthetics were an option to possibly make walking less painful. I’m happy to see something about AOS because no doctor knows about it and I always have to be the expert, but I quite like it’s slowly getting more and more known in the medical field.
I think this is so awesome!! So glad for the boys. Dad don't you ever feel guilty!! That is nothing you caused!! You have terrific kids!! They are all special in their own ways💙💜
I'm so glad they got feet that don't hurt. When they said the hard ones hurt, I immediately said they should use silicone. I wonder what took the doctors so long to figure that out.
To be honest, in a country with the NHS, I am very surprised that this couple were not told that the Dad’s condition had a name and was genetic by medical professionals.
It was probably always there as an option but due to their age and how quickly they grow, it wouldn't have been the most cost effective option to have feet made that need to be replaced every 6 months. They also need to be at an age to understand the limitations of their prosthesis and how to use it/prevent any damage from occurring.
Bless these 2 youngsters, they ooze positivity, not once have they whinged n whinged about their feet or hands. To dad, please dont feel guilty, it was something you were not aware of. You coped and the boys with your support will cope. An absolutely beautiful family. You are blessed 🌹❤️🌹 x x
At the time, dad was unaware, they had a second child, a little girl, who was fine, they thought it was ok to go ahead and have a 3rd child. When you love children, you put your hope and trust in God for your children. They have 3 beautiful children who get on with life. I admire this family 100% and as technology advances, I am sure the prosthetics will continue to improve. Don't be so negative and love child.ren for who they are.

Its crazy to think how much these more comfortable feet are gonna positively impact their futures! With hopefully less pain as they age. Im glad they have their dad and eachother. I feel for the dad that he carries so much guilt but hes doing the best he can for his children and they are clealry happy and well loved despite their condition
Amazing! These 3 men are beautiful and strong. Dad: don ´t feel guilty! Would you have prefered, not have such great boys? They will have great lives! Our society needs diversity in this natural and sane way. Thank you for sharing your story!
This is an awesome piece! Thanks for sharing it. It should be an encouragement to anyone living with challenges. I wish nothing but the best for your family. You’ve got a great start!
Ok, maybe I WILL keep the appointment with the podiatrist! Thanks boys! I spent the first 65 years with all of my toes on both feet. I ran frequently and loved it. When I was 65, I had a run-in with a bunch of Brown Recluse Spiders. Aside from very nearby dieing, I spent 4 months in the hospital, lost my big toe on my left foot. I had to learn how to walk again and after 5 years I can do something that vaguely resembles running! My BALANCE ABSOLUTELY SUCKS without my big toe. Ive talked about it with my doctor, but until seeing this, I didn't really believe it was possible. Know that you influenced an old lady in Texas! Good luck playing football!!❤
I have a partially amputated big toe from a teenage accident. I used to hide it until i saw a girl dancing barefoot in a club who had no toes on one foot. I never hid my foot again and wouldnt think about getting a fake toe.
It's nobody's fault nor the father. It's genetic, but I'm glad to see that the boys are getting help and can live a more normal life. God bless them both and the rest of the family too.
I wouldn’t say ‘fault’ per se, but I find in very surprising that this young man (the Dad) was. It told by health professionals that this condition has a name and that it is genetic and could be passed to any kids he might have.
@@juliemcgugan1244 They did not know with the first, but they did with the later children. It doesn't mean they should not have had them, but they clearly knew.
@@shakeyj4523 Just because they knew there was a chance of having more children with this same disability, after having the first, does not mean they knew how high those chances were. I really hope these kids are given very good genetic counseling before they start to have a family and give it a lot of thought. Personally, if I had something I could pass on, I would not have children but that is my choice and others would make a different one.
Life has doors and opportunities and as long as you’re willing you can accomplish anything, keep supporting your children until they make their own happiness. 🤲❤️❤️

Interesting you would have another child after knowing you are most likely going to have another kid with the problem... Especially since he struggled with it himself as a child and he saw his first born already struggling with it.
На что рассчитывал отец, имея такое заболевание? А потом, ох, ах! Это безответственность. Зачем подвергать своих детей мучениям? Это всё ваша хвалёная толерантность.
Of course the daughter didn't get it, a lot of these types of conditions are on the x chromosome. Men only have one x, so they're more likely to be affected. What I wanna know is why they had two more kids after the diagnosis, especially seeing how much pain it caused the dad and now the youngest son.
@@ariannamartello5198 clearly it does because 2/3 of the kids have it. Do you mean sex chromosomes? Because there is no such thing as "sexual chromosomes". @@adamn7516 Yeah, I wonder where he'd draw the line. Should I not have knowingly had a kid who's got allergy risk genes on both sides? What about my family history of type 2 diabetes?
That's really ableist. People born with limb differences are just as valid as those who don't, but I'm happy that there are better accommodations being made that will improve their lives.
