I really appreciate what you shared about leaving school to go to the hospital. I've left my job to go into inpatient care for my mental health and I'm constantly battling the feeling that that's a failure. But taking care of myself needs to be the most important thing, always.

Gosh 11:40 section got me right in the feels. I have been proud of my ‘no’s in the moment because it’s usually been pushed upon me and I feel relief from ‘FINE, I GET IT, NO THEN!’ But in the following years I’ve found it so hard to see the merit in those no’s. oh I'm so excited to finally get a 'there's no rush' shirt! I just got diagnosed with autism earlier this month :-) gastropods (specifically nudibranchs & snails) are so so so beloved to me; it gives me a burst of happiness every time you show your snails squiggling around

I just bought two shirts! I'm excited to get them. Your kimchi fried rice looks goooood and I'm craving it. I might make it soon. Snail mail or slow mail is underrated, especially with postcards and small cards. Also, I don't know if anyone mentioned this but I just realized after watching your videos for awhile, the pacing is so ADHD friendly and straight to the point. YAY SO EXCITED TO ORDER MERCH!!! and sigh the complicated feelings about the laziness book, yep yep yep relatable. i highly recommend Rest Is Resistance by Tricia Hersey, that book made me cryyyyy... it was a bit repetitive, but overall a great balance between on the one hand just a kind voice stating "rest is an essential right and you need to rest and you deserve to rest without feeling bad about it" while on the other hand also the practical/realistic voice stating "of COURSE this topic is probably stressful for you that's valid and you're not crazy, cuz the existing structures of capitalism and patriarchy and systemic racism are DESIGNED to make you feel compelled to work yourself to death, so the best thing you can do right now in the midst of existing within this system is to find the small habits you can protect for your own rest, that is a small way you can push back against these unfair systems."

I started thinking about "failures" with a different mindset and not even really considering them that anymore. More like, a change of plans, which life is full of. In a world that loves to see people "die trying", I've started asking myself more, "is this even worth it"? Perseverance through tough stuff is essential sometimes, but if its at the expense of your health and joy, a confident quit is probably the real winning move

Renting wall troubles highly relatable. I put up all my art with tape thinking it would be fine only to remove said tape and watch the literal wall paint flake and peel off entirely in gigantic strips like hallo. What to heck.

I also started wearing an apron while eating because I got sick of staining everything.
