Four correct - and I've lived in Australia for over 20 years. Not too bad! Love your videos; great memories of home.
I love these vodeos!!! This exactly the sort of content I want to see on TH-cam. Thank you! ❤
And a *_Happy New Year_* to you bud.
1 ✅ - 2 ✅ - 3 ✅ - 4 ✅ - 5 ✅ - 6 X I thought "B" - 7 ✅ - 8✅
I've seen one wild Goldie some 35+ years ago in Scotland while driving south along the shore line of Loch Awe. Never seen a White Tail but seen a fair few Peregrine.
As for the common seal. I believe it got its name due to the fact of where they live when compared to that of the Grey seal that lives in more remote, less accessible areas. Hence the common seal is seen more often.
A great set of questions but defeated by the mighty Oak. 🤔😉👍
Interesting theory about the common seal. Since it lives in Britain around the east coast and even in the Thames Estuary (I saw some orange-furred ones on a boat trip on the Thames once!) it's seen by more people than the grey seal which tends to like cooler seas in the north, Scotland and elsewhere, with big colonies not many people go and see? Possibly, though I've seen grey seals more often myself. I've only ever seen golden eagles in Scotland too, and at great distance through binoculars.
@PaIaeoCIive1684 Those orange furred seals had been drinking Tango. 🤔😉👍
And your Golden Eagle sightings was the same as mine. Through binoculars at distance.
Great fun, and I learn something every time!
Getting better Liam, this time four right answers.
Feeling better this week with 6 right. Don't know much about fish! And while I knew that lots of creatures are dependent on oak trees, I over estimated!
Another great quiz. Thanks and happy new year from under 6 inches of ❄️ in Halifax!😂
I got 4 out of 8 correct. I seem to know less each time. Didn't know about minnows/sticklebacks, lizards or seals. Better on birds. Got my first skull! It was the canines that gave it away for me. Good quiz, Liam. Really enjoy them. Keep them coming!
I enjoy your channel Liam . Very informative.
5/8, my best score yet! Lol! Great fun and learned a few things too!
I got 4 and I was delighted having struggled on other ones. Great start to 2025 🎉😂. Thanks Liam - have a great year.
Six out of eight my best score yet! Woo hoo!
I think I got five, it was a bit quick! Some of the answers came as a surprise to me, which is great, we can really learn from these!
Happy New Year to you and all your family. ✨🌟👍
Happy New Year Liam, thank you for the quiz. 5 correct again, earthworms, skull and lizard scuppered me 😂
Hello Liam. I got five right again. Well I’m happy with that. Great quiz See you next time
...Hi Liam...I’m happy with my score of six out of eight....👍🏻 Happy New Year lad...
Not so good, 5/8. Loving these quizzes, keep up the good work!
4 out of 8 again...If I'd stuck with my instinctive first answers it would have been 6, sometimes it doesn't pay to think lol. I really enjoy your quizzes, thank you for taking the time & effort to put them together.
You're right about overthinking questions (or knowing too much about particular subjects) as I'd have got one more than I did by guessing rather than going through all the worms I knew and thinking there couldn't possibly be 31. There are other wildlife quizzes on YT but Liam's British-focused ones are my favourites.
@PaIaeoCIive1684 Yea, I totally agree with you. My instincts said NOT to choose 'Common Seal' as the name made it seem the obvious choice & therefor too simple...but I chose it anyway lol. My instinctive choice for the skull was Fox, but I thought that it was too obvious & after a few seconds thought I changed my mind to Badger. That's the beauty of Liams quizzes, he certainly knows how to 'keep us on our toes' . Happy New Year 👍.
3/8. Always enjoy your quiz, even though I'm shit at it. Happy new year to you and yours!
6/8. Pleased with that. Thanks Liam 😊
Yay! My best score yet. 7/8! Only got the Oak Tree one wrong. Thanks Liam. 👍🤓👍
4/8, Thank you Liam !!!
Five out eight.
Happy new year to you and your family.
Happy New Year Liam, 6 right this week.still didn't get the skull right, never knew there were so many types of earthworms in England, Happy Days! 😀😃😄
5/8 Liam, top quiz as always. 👍 Didn’t know that common lizards and adders gave birth to live young.
Fantastic and beautiful, happy New year 🤗💯✖️💯👍🏼✨️🆗️✨️
Absolutely love your channel. Really lovely videos that always make me smile (and learn!)
Wonder whether you might be able to do a video on the Rowan Tree one day?
Best
D
Half right :) Was watching the answer to number 8 on my garden feeder as question came up, made it a bit easier LOL Thanks again Liam and a Very Happy New Year to you and yours - may 2025 be even better for you :)
Great videos, thankyou!
7 out of 8! You got me with the Minnow question.
5/8, got the skull, oak and worm wrong. Good quiz though, and your vlogs are always informative. Also, Happy New Year, Liam, to you & family. 😊.
6 right but have to admit one was a complete guess. No idea on earth worm or oak tree questions. Always something to learn. Thanks
These fell nicely for me but I guessed the worm question and (shock horror) the tit one incorrectly -- birds are my weakness. So 6/8. I'm surprised there are so many golden eagles in the UK but knew there were far more grey than common seals as I've seen lots of greys around the coast and only a few common ones. Nice easy skull for a change and I'll wager nearly everyone knows the common lizard is viviparous.
I know beasties are more fun than the flora to most people, but a wildlife quiz should include the plants? Plants can been trickier to show and identify, and it's your fun quiz so entirely up to you. Cheers.
Edit: You had the oak tree question it's true, but that was species of invertebrates living on it.
My first full house of this series! I got lucky this week that the questions are all about animals I regularly come across where I live except for the lizard but I remember something from a past video about there being a species that births live young so I gambled on true. Great video Liam and you’ve given me more confidence in my nature knowledge
4/8- not my best but not my worst either.....thank you for giving us an easier skull this week to start 2025- Happy New Year!!
1. Right
2. Wrong. What even is a stickleback 😅
3. Wrong. 31!? That is... quite a lot.
4. Wrong. Didn't know there was more than one type of seal around here
5. Wrong. Thought badger.
6. Wrong. Regardless that's huge number!
7. Right
8. Right
3/8
2, 5, 7, and 8 I got correct. I guessed 1 correctly I knew the number of Golden Eagles. Their numbers are up and they are trying to get pairs to breed further South. 50% score gets me a C grade in 'O' level nature quizing.
The only eagle I recall 'in the wild' in southern England was London Zoo escapee 'Goldie' ... it'll be the 60th anniversary of his first trip out on the 28th February (where the hell did six decades go?). He pulled the same stunt again in December of that year.
Keep them coming Liam, fun and educational. I didn't get the Oak tree right.
Got 7, overcooked the number of species reliant on oak trees! Thanks for the quiz.
great quiz Liam ,I got 5 correct this time
5/8, not too bad. And learning a lot about English nature!
Arrrr got the worm question wrong, interesting though. Thanks for doing these quizzes, must admit the Oak tree answer was a lucky guess.
Cannot believe it, first time ever getting all eight right, yeah!!
Wahey! Well Done Mick.
I didn’t do well Liam but I learned a lot and enjoyed it! I got the fox skull through (yay!)
Being across the Atlantic in America, I was pleased to get six correct. I had no idea about the minnows and the animals that lived on Oak trees. Having Bill Oddie's "How To Watch Wildlife" on DVD was why I knew about the Grey Seals.
4 out of 8, much better the last tim2 when I got only 2 right
@@markgray5344
After this one, I took one of the earlier ones, and I got the same score as you did, only two right.
Happy new year mate 👍I got 5 out of 8 right this week, the ones I got wrong were 2, 3 & 6 😀
6/8 The fox skull reminded me of a Biology teacher where I worked boiling a roadkill fox head in a pressure cooker to get the flesh off - this was about 40 years ago; I still remember the smell!
Look forward to your quiz, 7 out of 10. Great.
7 out of 8 so you did better than you thought!
Got then all right. Jammy on a few though.
1 out of 8 😮
3/8. Not fantastic but really enjoyed the challenge. Red Fox skull was a lovely addition. Thanks Liam.
1) c, 2) t, 3) b, 4) T, 5) mudjack 6) 726 7)T, 8) GT
learned a new fact about the common lizard there! thank you for teaching me about the UK
Fun little quiz, please do more.
About 8: they are called Koolmees in Dutch. Kool = coal. I wouldn't be surprised if they are called something with coal in more languages or dialects.
5 out of 8. thought badger skull. no idea about the lizard and thought more critters in the oak tree. like your quizes ,might remember some things!
5/8 this week - an improvement on the previous one, but mostly guesswork!
5, an improvement on my last feeble effort anyway. Liam, if you don't mind a suggestion, when you pause for 10 seconds in the video how about giving us a gentle 360 degree spin round view of the countryside around you. Would make a nice little interlude. Cheers.
I’m so happy I got 6 this week instead of my usual 4 thanks for your quizzes I do enjoy them
Much better this week, 6/8 correct. Guessed wrong on the Oak tree (I went for 526), and wrong as usual on the skull (I thought it might be a badger). I saw a seal just before Christmas - but only the head in the waves - no idea what species, but a joy to see none the less.
Kiwi: 5/8 thought badger, thought egg layer, looks like our common skink, thought Minnow, lol. Fun facts!
Happy New Year. 8 out of 10 best score ever Got the skull and oak tree wrong and my worms were a wee bit of a guess😂
Theres me thinking I knew a bit about wildlife! Great quiz thanks for posting.
Have you done the previous ones?
Happy New year to you Liam. 5/8 Getting worse!
6/8 best yet 👌

6 of 8 right, my best score yet! Though I'll admit I had to guess for the number of species or worm 😂
Very happy new year to you mate!
Only 3/8 for me! Very enjoyable videos. Thanks Liam.
6 this time. Not too shabby 😊
Happy New Year Liam. Six out of ten, about average for me. Skulls let me down again 😢
Good start to the New Year got seven right enjoyed it again thank you John and cranwell
Thankyou Liam..my score was 5 😊
Lucky week:5 out of 8. Missed on worms, lizard and the skull of course.😂
6 out of 8… didn’t have a clue about the worms or the skull !!!!👍
Thank you Liam I look forward to the quizzes. Happy New Year 😊
Six out of eight. I think slow worms also give birth to live young? Keep the quizzes coming!
Really enjoyed the quiz. Thank you. 6 this week. I underestimated the species dependent on an Oak tree and thought the bird was a coal tit.
Great video Liam. Six correct answers this time.
Happy New Year to you and your family.
7/8 which included a couple of guesses!
6 out of 8 pleased with that
Yeah 6!!!
5 out of 8 for me, my other half only got 4, looks like she's doing the washing up tonight.
Hi and a Happy New Year, well as normal I learnt as much as I knew, thank you and all the best. 👍
I got a few right, thanks Liam and have a wonderful 2025 . PEACE AND LOVE TO EVERYONE ❤❤.
Grrrh 5 again can't seem to beat 5 wrong with the earth worm the oak and the lizard, greatvquiz though interestingcwayvto pick up more wildlife information , thanks
Happy new year Liam. Well pleased with myself with a score of 7. Thanks again
Hello Sir Happy New Year to you. Well a slight improvement I got five right this time
1- C, 2 - False, 3 - ?, 4 - false, 5 - Fox, 6 - C, 7 - True, 8 - C
6/10 not bad without googling answers!
I didn’t realise there were so many species of earth worm in Britain!🥴
Great questions if a bit tricky !😁
Agree about worms
6/10. Really?😅
Maths never my strongest subject!🤣👍
First time here and got 7/8.
6 out of 8
Never got the fox skull.
And thought lizards lay eggs.
Guessed the oak answer.
Around 90% of lizards do lay eggs but our common one gives birth to live young, as does the slow worm. Our rarer lizard, the sand lizard, does lay eggs though.
Thanks enjoyed learning something new
excellent loved it.keep up the great work and best wishes for 2025
my best score ever, 6/8.
6/8. Surprised myself. Didnt get fox or oak tree and worm was a total guess
1. C
2. False;
3. C 31 (guess)
4. False (I think the most common is the Grey Seal)
5. Fox (guess)
6. B (guess)
7. True
8. B Great Tit
Wow! 7 out of 8. My best yet. Just guessed wrong on question 6. Have to say I only knew the answers to 5 questions for sure though. 3 was a lucky guess and 5 I thought was either a fox or a badger, but guessed fox.
3/8 oh dear.
Got 7. Happy with that even if a couple were lucky guesses
6 right , got the oak tree question and the common lizard questions wrong. Every day is a school day 👍
Fun fact: what you call the 'great tit' in the UK, we over here in the Netherlands call that bird the 'koolmees' and yes, 'kool' in dutch is 'coal' in english :-)
And in America Chickadees look very like our tits here in UK. Although they seem to flock in large groups.
1) Buzzard
2)
Need to think 50% right must try harder 😂
6 out of 8. Have to swot up on my worms and fish.
Yeah 🎉 7 from 8 this week. Got the oak tree wrong. Went for C
Only 5 this time but I surprises myself with ones I got right 😮
