I was playing last night and my opponents spent the entire game trying to kill my Seedborn Muse (4 times failed, then killed it the 5th time). Then the quiet guy over in the corner killed everyone the next turn because no one had any interaction left lol
So Lincoln never showed up to this game. Garrett got stomped from the beginning. Zack had constant control over the game and still couldn't close. Man, I love Folger but he cannot have a thrasios and a seedborn on the field for that long. This was essentially a two-person game between Zack and Folger. Zack just didn't have enough answers for Folger nor could he keep up with Folger's digging. Good game but I'm confused about threat assessment with this game.
Not the first time I see thrasios and seedborn run with the game on this channel. I think players should have ganged up on folger. Especially Lincoln with his spirit tokens. Folger got pretty low on life, a few more damages could have killed him...
I don't understand why Folger wasn't casting Vial Smasher. Could've killed his opponents in half an hour less if he had it on the board. It's clear they couldn't kill Seedborn, why not start doing damage too?
I think that Garrett was the reason Folger got ignored at the beginning. He was representing a win (twice?) and he had a lot of interaction-nearly pulled it off and then had nothing left from being the archenemy
Garrett held onto Abrupt Decay for 10 years before using it, letting Folger get so far ahead. Then when an answer for Thrasios finally hit the board in Linvala he immediately used Assassin's Trophy on it.
I looooooooove Azra Oddsmaker, ever since the first time I saw it, it became an instant addition to my Anje deck. It became my pet Rakdos card from the first game I got to use it!
Great game. Loved the use of Azra Oddsmaker. I've been trying to fit that into a deck since it came out. It seems harder to use in battle cruiser Magic.
I don't know why, but I really like Garrett's streamlined warrior tokens. Honestly I wish wotc would make a perforated card composting of like 4 thin tokens . Such a great idea to save space!

I have a gameplay question, what is the benefit of countering a counter rather than countering the origional spell again? Example of the stack (top is earliest) Idk Some Combo Piece - this is an opponents Counter1, targeting the combo piece - this is yours, as you are responding to whatever threat it is Counter2, targeting the counter1 - the threat's owner responds and counter's your counter to protect it counter3, targeting counter2 - you respond, countering the threat's owner's counterspell, protecting your counterspell. is it just a preference whether counter3 targets counter2 or the combo piece? Does it have to do with how the stack resolves, or is protecting your earlier counter more important that re-countering the threat? I would assume that all the counters would fissle anyways since the origional target is invalid, or does that not register until it resolves, so all the other counterspells resolve and counter each other? anyways i am confused, I don't play cEDH, just the other cEDH, casual commander, and we haven't had to deal with the stack too much.
Everyone talking how Seedborn Muse was the MVP instead of Azra but forgetting that Azra was growing and attacking Folger, putting pressure and drawing cards.
Someone should try to make Kozilek, The Great Distortion as a CEDH deck. I feel like it’d be an expensive and difficult objective. I know it’s not the most competitive, but I feel it’s be cool to see such a different commander in the CEDH table

Thrasios is nuts, it is like so much value and makes Folger go through his deck insanely fast. I called that Lazav wont do much, tymna/tana will stall the game and that najeela will try to win fast but die if ty/ta locks quickly, which it did. like seeing Folger on the edge of death was so much fun. xD
Considering how many counterspells Folger was revealing from Thrasios, I don't think any removal spells aimed at Seedborn Muse would've gotten through...
I just noticed something. The Assasins Trophy should have searched up a land. Ashiok says “Cannot cause their CONTROLLER to search.” Corner case interaction that doesn’t matter in the game but still. Magic is a weird game.
so have people just been ignoring the leyline of the void? I noticed things going to the graveyard when they should've been exiled, things weren't exiled until ashiok was activated
Blood pod without Basic lands setup, If instead of yisan fetching anafenza on verse 3, Zack could fetch magus of the moon. That put soo many pressure on folger cause he only have a one Basic Island, that Will shut down ALL folger answers to protect himself.

If all three had attacked folger six turns before he won folger would've died before oko even hit the board, would've let zack have a lot more control but also would've given the other two a better chance as well.

You can target other creatures with Azra, such as an evasive creature. Even in casual meta the card is pretty solid throughout the game

This is maybe the longest CEDH game I’ve ever seen. Heck the longest casual game I played only lasted 12 turns I think.
