@@Shakiahjprod From personal experience, while fighting other students never gets easier, the Golden Deer is much less intense. Probably Claude is the only one who doesn't need Byleth to keep his sanity, and is just a cool dude: you may be fighting familiar faces, you won't find yourself questioning your cause. Also, Golden Deer have a really badass final battle unique to their route and their route alone. (Edit: and a good final boss theme to go with!)

**Major spoilers if ya don’t know the Edelgard’s Crest thing** My guess is that it came from Edelgard trying to ignore her Crest of Flames. It was artificially implanted in her anyways, and it halved her lifespan, so it makes sense that she would want to fight down it’s power. The Crests aren’t supposed to be suppressed, though, and that causes issues, such as in Marianne’s case. I’m assuming that this, along with general stress and her original Crest fighting for dominance over the other, triggered some sort of weird reaction with the Crest Stones she’d stolen and turned her into the weird hegemon/demonic beast thingy. Then again, I have no idea, I’m just theorizing.
I personally don’t see Ingrid as racist. She’s just had bad experiences with the Duscur people. ANYONE would be on edge when being near the people from Duscur if they have dealt with the same experiences as Ingrid. Even if you still disagree, she gets better in her later supports.
