Rhea is the antagonist in Edie's route and kind of antagonistic in the church route. The only thing that's really really bad is done in Crimson Flower. El start's a war, kills thousands of innocent people, works together with the only real evil entity of the game and doesn't even manage to achieve her goal in the end, because Rhea's death doesn't get rid of the crests or TWSIND. She is the main antagonist in 2 routes, a really important antagonist in 1 and overall a very morally gray character. Dark gray. She isn't evil, but she is a liar (she literally lies to everybody the whole time before the timeskip).
Black Eagles was the first route I played and my waifus are Bernie, Dorothea, & Petra cause they all have their own charm (Bernie is just adorable, Dorothea is such a good person, and Petra is a badass princess). Glad I played Eagles first.
I always recruit those 3 in every playthrough. Most recently, I did a VW run, and brought them with me to the final battle. Paladin Bernie took on the demonic beast summoner with minimal help, while Dancer Dorothea and Assassin Petra took out the poison swamp within 4 turns. The rest of my team was: Enlightened One Byleth, Barbarossa Claude, Warrior Hilda, Gremory Lysithea, Trickster Yuri, Valkyrie Hapi, War Monk Balthus, Swordmaster Catherine, & Great Knight Sylvain.
Here's my take on it (Do not take it too seriously) Rhea: Dispose of Edelgard at once! Byleth: I choose to side with her. Rhea: HOW COULD YOU?! Shamir: Don't you realize what you're doing? Rhea treated you like her own son, and even helped you get better after your fight with Solon, and this is how you repay her? Don't you realize what you're doing? You're going to start a war leading to countless innocent deaths, destroy the Church of Seiros, betray all of your friends and defy the Goddess! What possible justification could you POSSIBLY have for doing something that bad? Byleth: Because I want some of that Flame Emperor p*ssy. Shamir: Understandable. Okay I'll help you. Seteth: You can't be serious! But it'll take more than that to- Dorothea: We'll help you too, Professor! Right, Black Eagles? Black Eagles: Yeah! Rhea: That's it. Just let Edelgard kill me now. I give up on this stupid world.
