Division 2 is trash. The gear sets were trash. The politics in the game is Trash. I quit playing after they posted an In Game LGBTQIALPHABET BIG AS A BUILDING flag in the game.

They don’t deserve any of their IPs anymore.. Splinter Cell, Prince of Persia, Watch Dogs, etc.. can’t wait for them to go bankrupt and have to sell them to deserving studios
Ubisoft: Get used to not owning your games. Players: Get used to developing for no players. The only innovations I've seen from Ubi in the last few years are bugs, incompetence, and how to screw up a once-burgeoning business. The more I've learned of those working behind the scenes the more all this makes sense. I haven't touched an Ubi game at all this year and I don't see that changing in the future.
All I have ever wanted to see from the division 2 has been new maps and gear. If they would just leave the rest alone and stop trying things that are experimental this late in the game, I think it would actually work. It feels like they are trying to cater to casual players. This just isn’t the game for that. I’m surprised they haven’t tried a battle royal. And yes I know that is kind of what they were shooting for with Heartlands. Honestly, Ubisoft is setting on a gold mine and is very obviously too short sighted to realize it. There is a very loyal fan base here that wants to play the game daily and put thousands of hours in. I will gladly pay for dlc. It just blows my mind why they have chosen to ignore that option outside of warlords of New York.
i want even less. no new gear, no new maps, just enable matchmaking for the raids on normal mode. haha we are trying to see who can accept lower standards.
I don't know how the players ever accepted restarting from Lv1 every few months in the Diablo games. Why would anyone ever want to throw away their progress? Game developers don't respect our time anymore. What's worse is that trash is always tied to things like "get the new sEaSoN cOsMeTiCs" ( 🙄), limited skins, limited camos, etc... worst gaming concept ever.
Diablo is a different game than Div 2. The seasonal grind is for people who like racing to get to the top of the ladder. Leveling to max in D4 is a few hour endeavor. Min maxing takes about a week or 2 of play at most due to how much more common loot is. In a few hours of play in any Diablo game I go through hundreds of pieces of loot, in a game like Div 2 or Destiny 2 that drops 10 fold so it takes significantly longer to min max and get your builds online. On top of having new seasonal exotics and seasonal content that is designed to be experience with new builds while leveling. There's nothing wrong with that game model imo as long as the game was designed with that intent and it feels fun. That being said, I also thought it was a mistake for Div 2.
@@arturoayala3987 This. And Diablo has always been a grindy title. It's kind of the thing. And it's aimed at people who likes doing that. You can ignore seasons of course, if you don't want your progress reset, but you miss out on the seasonal content, which is a bit sad. If they would transfer the seasonal content to Eternal Realm after the season is concluded in some form it would be great, but as it stands right now it's a one and done deal.
Got bored with the first one really fast even though all my friends loved it. Not enough content to interest me. Not really here for Division 2 news, just giving Lt Buzz Lightbeer the views. I refuse to buy any Ubisoft game now anyways because of their greed which is a shame since I do like some of their IPs. Seriously though, dont buy their products, their CEO clearly stated that you own nothing when you buy their games. We as gamers absolutely can't reward that type of behavior from game developers.
With the division 1 they had the perfect game. They didn't need to create a the Division 2. We just needed new maps in 1, both for dark zone and PvE. They missed a great opportunity.
Ubisoft will never make single player focused Tom Clancy products again, but it would be amazing to play a version of the first division game that was a single player experience with a much more fleshed out narrative
Ubisoft never once cared about the players in the original Division. Cheaters were so rampant and they did nothing. More than half of the paid streamers for the game were cheating themselves. Even with video evidence of cheating, the banned nobody and did nothing. They lost my respect and no longer deserve my money.
The Division 1 was still the best in terms of immersion. Ubisoft has done that one for a long time. They are always surprisingly quick with "fixing" anything that can lead to player advantage but bugs stay in the game for years. Like R6 Siege. When hiding spot is found it gets removed within weeks but there are bugs and crashes that are there for atleast 4 years. Like one when Battleeye anticheat fails to connect and authenticate on launch of R6 Siege and causes BSOD crash. It was never fixed and as far as i know it was never even adressed from Ubisoft. Havent played Division in a while. Might try 1st Division once again. Even after all that has happened and i dont play Division anymore because i got tired of it i still like the concept. Just wish it wasnt that limited and repetitive gameplay.
That's your fault, it's widely known that difficulty has to be at the highest options at end game. You can't play on normal, and finishing summit is more about your exotic projects. And also your supposed to do the summit tasks and you get extra exotics. Division is a deep game, and just from your statement alone I can tell you've never did research, and just open the game and start shooting stuff and turn the game off. You don't know what's going on lol
I don’t have any hope for the division three, when I watched the gameplay trailer for the division one and saw how it was advertised. (I urge everyone to rewatch the first gameplay trailer of the division one and compare it to how the division one ended up, and how the division two ended up.) the problem with the division one was that enemies became bullet spongy, and after the survival mode, and the underground came out the game almost died immediately there were probably only like 30 people and me playing the underground missions at the lowest possible player base. Then, when I saw the advertising for the division two and that they said they were gonna make the enemies less bullets spongy by incorporating armor units I was a static, finally the game was going to be more similar to ghost recon with RPG extra light gameplay. And the very beginning of the game was so much fun. It was exactly what I wanted in a division game. And then it came to the endgame. The endgame was exactly as bullet spongy as the first division game. Which means ubi never actually solved the problem of the division one with. Upper sponge all they did was prolong the issue. It took forever to kill armored enemies in the second division game and just like before, I was there at the lowest player count right when they introduced raids. And just because I was such a young kid I didn’t know how to find people to play with. Because there was no matchmaking for the raids. This division three is going to be the exact same thing, they don’t know what they’re gonna do and whatever they choose is going to be something that some 50-year-old boomer decided to do, not knowing what the community actually wants from the game. And that’s why this is never going to succeed and I’m really upset that that is my unwavering opinion. I want this game to be possibly good. But at the hands of ubi it just won’t happen. Here’s a question that I believe a good amount of players can answer easily and truthfully. When is the last time Ubisoft made a quality game in the last 8 years?I’m gonna say 1 and that’s a real shame. Far cry five wasn’t good. They made like six wheel of Fortune games, they remastered all the assassins Creed games and they released ghost recon breakpoint. They released Valhalla, which was literally just be busy the game, then far cry six which also wasn’t good, they did rainbow six extraction which failed. The only game that was considered generally favorable was assassin’s Creed Mirage. Which wasn’t even a return to form that they advertised. Ubisoft will never give us what we want from this franchise or many other franchises, which is a completely different argument to make that hopefully will be told one day, they never learn from any of their mistakes
Isn't it crazy how they have such a hardcore fanbase that would probably through money at this game without batting an eyelash they are too blind to see it but they are worried about taking the team that made the game what it is to only split them up and crush the player base.
They had the perfect opportunity to release Heartlands instead. Turn about and say they are sorry allow the devs to finish it I believe it was already finished. Then release it with a fanfare! Heck, charge us a few quid for the game if you are scared it won't make money at free-to-play. We will pay! As long as the IP has some bleeding respect paid to it... Make that the next Division game until Division 3 whenever that happens. I won't hold my breath; If Massive has anything to do with it! Let one of the teams passionate about the IP take it over. Give them the darn resources and time and above all show the players some respect!!!! You will have another monster hit. Instead, they think were all care about Star Wars and that the big Smerf game neither has a great deal of interest to me...
Here's the thing. Players never gave the devs the chance to explain what exactly they were going to do with seasonal characters. Most of us just got on the hate train and let it go. It could have been fun, but Yall freaked out when we heard we'd start with new characters (TEMPORARILY) So, them having to change ideas is just as much on players as the devs. Hopefully, now that Star Wars and the Pandora game is out, the original dev team will return, along with the new studio that's set to help out. I do agree, however, it's been a long road full of broken promises, that have followed the series since Div 1. Let's be thankful that they're still working on the game, cause it could be worse.

There is no other game like Division 2 out there, The first Decendant,Warframe,Destiny 2,Outriders, Hell even GR:Breaking Point aint even close there is nothing to compete against i would like to se a whole new IP that uses the same mechanics that are expanded on but keeps that tacticool cover looter shooter vibe.
The player count is going down and can’t even be compared to destinys success. Division 2 is the best at what it does and that’s mainly because it’s in a class of its own but it is by far the worst in every way at everything else. In summary, it’s a terribly made game that failed miserably even what its success was guaranteed

The first Division 1 was really good imho. Even the footage and voice recordings were realistic, I went cold finding out the aftermath of the first wave of the SHD, and was hoping for a real life adaptation of the franchise because it was surreal and bleak, the story telling was actually good for a game.
They need a Survivalist Div 1 mode for Div 2. They need raids that require a healer, tank, tech and attack team like the old Div 1. Tired of running 4 team strikers through all content.

I actually quit for a long time after Season 4 being a flop, obly come back a few times to keep with updates. But I decide to quit for real because it randomly crash despite a years passed and I switch from laptop to PC already.
A real shame, started playing the division 1 in 2018 on the day my son was born so I could watch him sleep and try to chill, was hooked and the franchise will always have a place in my heart.
Seasonal characters weren’t fresh. Hey, grind from level 1 - 40 again every season isn’t new content or a fresh take. In a game that had dedicated players put in thousands of hours to build up their characters, relegating those characters to a 2 week intermission at the end of a 15 week season wasn’t a terribly bright idea. It was an idea from a team that really doesn’t know what they’re doing. I’ve said this before, but this team really isn’t all that good at what they do unfortunately. I’m glad they’re backing off from seasonal characters. I’ll listen to whatever plan they come up with and then decide whether I’m in or out. I’ve had one eye out looking for an exit ramp a while now. I’m not confident this team will come up suddenly come up with something great. Despite their announcement TD3 has hardly even started pre production. It will be years before they launch it and I still feel like there is an excellent chance it never gets made. I have lots of good memories of TD2. It’s the game that got me through the pandemic. Like all good things, it might be time for this to come to an end. Might be time to retire my agent.
one word... SURVIVAL! adding this game mode instead of descent and the summit would have given us another replayable game mode like countdown that people would flock to. this would solve the pvp problem and the dark zone problem in one go and given us some thing fun to do while we wait.

Division of after update 1.8 was absolutely god tier. The underground DLC, the inclusion of Hunters, etc. I scarcely recall having so much fun in a game
I feel like the seasonal character thing is like the prestige system in incremental idle clicker games on mobile, which you reset the whole thing to earn something that just boost the progression from the beginning, then when progression slow down you reset again and again. I don't like the feeling of loosing things I earned at all. I even want the devs or whoever managing the game to make an option that players can share/carry over SHD level between Division 2 & 3, if there will be a third game of the franchise
I stopped playing a while ago. Everyday the question was "What to do now?" Interestingly this never been an issue with the Division 1. At least not for me and my friends.
I stopped playing after no raid matchmaking, i thought it was ridiculous, if the people who were against it realized that if they didnt want to risk grouping with idiots, they could just do the LFG that was forced on those of us who rather matchmake and dont have the time or need to go LFG for 7 others. That honestly killed the game for me, then i came back with warlords, enjoyed it, hated the story ending which thank god they retconned, but i came back for some of the story after skipping a couple of seasons, and just came back to play those for a while and nothing else, the recent season with the retcon brought me back to be willing to do other stuff and put time into it, and lately ive been doing descent daily for hours and the fact is, that mode expects dedicating hours, ive had to stop playing around lvl 23 multiple times due to not having more than 6 plus hours. the fact there is no checkpoint system where you can log off and start that lvl over, especially with delta errors and other things like being kicked for inactivity and losing every bit of progress, to the absolute ridiculous spamming of non stop drones, turrets, etc as a way of "difficulty" i miss the legendary missions from div 1, i still go back and play them and that game from time to time, and even last year almost daily played last stand and survival, and the global events that they randomly decided to stop doing and not let us know anything. I am not sure why i spend time in descent maybe its due to it being like survival mixed with resistance, but with the fact they make 3 rotations limiting skills for those rotations, they really fucked that up badly, i thought the point of the mode was to go as far as you could with whatever builds you can throw together on the fly. THis game has so much potential but it should have been either heavily supported without ubisoft pulling the plug, or just had them do division 3 a lot earlier, div 1 had a lot more to offer and they rushed into forcing a sequel instead of just building on that game, which in my opinion is completely way better overall, at thtis point i would be fine with a legit remaster and adding open world stuff like the checkpoints. But the atmosphere in div 1 is untouchable still to this date for me, it felt like the end of the world and chaos, you actually felt the dread just exploring, MY biggest issue with div2 is the hyperfixation on military conspiracies. I feel the game was better with a villain like keener being the main one and chasing him, instead of out of nowhere its a COD action thriller futuristic warfare ordeal. I enjoy div 2 outside of its huge flaws, but its always been jarring to me the direction of this story, and how they completely changed how characters acted and keener in warlords was a prime example. I do enjoy this newer season with the retcon and the current trials but it just doesnt have the atmosphere the franchise originally had that set it completely apart from every other military eque type shooter thats flooded the markets for decades.
Division 1 had a planned TEN YEARS of support... 10. They dropped it with year 2 for Division 2. The game is still online, but that's hardly what i would call support. Ubisoft has overpromised and underdelivered with the Division since the first game. Division 3 needs to be set in the winter again, and it needs to launch READY, without revising the gear etc, and it has to have solid end game or it's going to be the last Division game ever made. Which sucks, because i love me some Division. But it's being mishandled and it blows my mind that they saw 40m players as a fail.
After 5+ years the Dev's are out of ideas and it shows . The game is the Titanic , we the players are the passengers , the dev's are the fucking iceberg and Yannick is Caledon Hockley .
The ubisoft dev team is consistent at failure. they lack vision, planning, development execution, testing, and most importantly leadership and accountability. every release is full of bugs new and exponential issues.
Man i loved the Division 2: got over 800 hours and a dozen loadouts. I had to leave the game and never look back. It is infuriating the poor technical state of the game with multiple crashes every hour, while still having micro transactions. Not to mention everything else wrong with Ubisoft. People still complain on the Steam forums. It’s sad because the base game itself is extraordinary. A travesty.
Alright, here we go again. Do you know what Division 2 needs just as much as support from Ubisoft? Support from the Division community. No matter what they try and do, everyone has something negative to say. Members of the dev team are threatened on social media. Content creators have stated that the dev team should be fired. None of us have ever developed our own video game. So we have no idea what goes into the process. Everyone wants to say Division 1 is better than Division 2. Does anyone who played either remember Division 1 was around a 30-hour game? We could finish Division 1 in a day and a half, and there wasn't anything to do for almost a year. Then, they revamped the game into it's last version and moved on to Division 2.
The original team on the division is currently finishing star wars game once patches and everything done they moving back to the division franchise to work on division 3
Division 3 they are kidding right, I will not enen consider it after the mess that is division 2, but I guess there will be plenty of people who will buy it thinking the grass will only be greener in division 3.
@sheepfly ubisoft just gave the head of star wars outlaws a promotion once everything done with that game. To go back and take over all the division projects he also announced on x that division 3 will be worked on once he finishes with patches and dlc on outlaws once that done he will start the project on division 3
@Dugski2310 division 2 was a mess because ubisoft refuse to give the dev another year to work on the game not only that they move half of the dev to start working on star wars outlaws way before division 2 was gold. So this time. The guy in charge of the division made it clear he will only take the promotion if ubisoft respect the time they need to work on the next division so no rushing them if the game half done. Now he will take over 3 studio and somehow my understanding created and merge all studio as a new studio. To make division 3 so it won't be as a mess like before. So let's wait and see. Ubisoft agreed not to intervene that's way their hasn't been any division updates. Cause the guy who going to take over all project on the division starting 2025. Is still working on outlaws. But they are dev working on 2 different division project. 1 of them was supposed to be released this year but we haven't got an update for over 1 year. 3rd project was canceled. So let's see. This all depends if ubisoft see potential. 40 million players died out over time. So who knows if ubisoft will do. But. They have been losing money and if the 2 games fails this year the division might be the only hope they have to turn things around. I think that's why ubisoft wants to create a big division studio and go all in. Who knows. But as of last month they stated the guy who work on 2 division games will take over of all projects on all division starting 2025. But ubisoft can change their minds. Let's see
@@MysticalCabal to be honest mate I am all but done with gaming, was a daily division 2 player up untill 3 weeks ago, assassins creed mirage another ubisoft game can't even play that from time to time it freezes and crashes back to xbox homepage, I could go on about other games you pay your money and are expected to wait for fixes when problems crop up, it's about time you could get a refund on a game if your not happy with it, you can bet games would be released in a better state then, I dread the thought of even turning on my console these days.
Division 1 and 2 need a studio to pick it up thats gunna actually support it like it needs. Not Ubiflop where they support a game for 2 years, get it 60-70% complete and move on to the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th iteration of the same goddamn game.
I hope they bring seasonal characters back. I purchased the game recently because they announced it. Now i'll just get stuck with getting absolutely stomped in the DZ from someone that played thousands of hours. I don't get what people are mad about. Didnt they say once the season ends your character goes to the normal mode? So your characters you've worked on are still playable as you normally would.
They are stupid, and most of them cheated and glitched out the watch with an exploit in the dark zone. It's the reason why I stopped playing because I didn't cheat. When the exploit was finally patched players had maxed out their watches and when I got I to the dark zone I was losing fights that I should have won because of the amount of bonus damage and health other players got from cheating and glitching out their watches. After that I said fuck this game, players never got punished for cheating stats never got reset. It was just a stupid decision for the devs to add the watch to the game. I got on recently because I heard about seasonal characters and refreshing stats every season only for cheaters to cry and get the devs to reverse their ideas to grow their game with new content and a boost to the player base. This game should say new players aren't welcome because they literally aren't. My watch is below 300 and I said what the hell let me play a little n see what happens. I tried only to get kicked out of matchmaking repeatedly by players that were level 1000 to 25000. On an even playing field with no watch bonus stats I would destroy most of those no lifers! I'm done with the division until bonus stats are removed from the game and the focus is back on gear and weapons from looting and extracting in the dark zone. No game should be based on farming health and damage to have an edge over players that actually have lives and wanna enjoy a few hours of gaming after work and enjoy a good dark zone experience.
I rarely touch D2 anymore due to the Seasons being the same each and every time. Give us a new location or something. I think that to get the players back, to continue the game, they need to add in Heartland as a DLC. This would prolong D2 until the launch of Division 3. I just think it's a shame that this game as gone down like this. It was one of my all time favourite franchises from Ubisoft alongside Assassin's Creed, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell. However, now it just feels like they are just dragging it through the mud as well as it's community that love this franchise so much.
Its so sad to hear this. I fell in love with divison 1 and it was such a crazy experience because i have never played anything like it. One of the first games ive ever joined a community discord because i loved it so much. The game had problems but it was still so good that ive sunk more hours into then any other game ever. I unfortunanly always have to remember that you can never trust ubisoft, and they will always disappoint you in some way. Hopefully the game will find its footing and they give it the love it deserves because the game could really be good if they did.
@@F0dd3r26 yes, in a heartbeat! TD1 was AMAZING! TD2, is a better game, but less interesting, but still a GREAT game! TD3 will probably be even better! No other game/franchise gave me so many hours of amazing gameplay like The Division did.
I haven't played since Lau went rogue. After session and sessions crashing to desktop with no fix on the horizon, I said to hell with it and uninstalled everything Ubishaft related. After alpha and beta testing both Division games...they seriously screwed this franchise and put it away wet. I'm done with Ubi. I'm too damned old to deal with this level of BS anymore.
I actually enjoyed the Heartland test. I'd rather they devote all assets to Div. 3 if it's even still in the works at all. To be honest with Heartland's cancellation and the crap show Ubisoft is showing us, I doubt I'll touch another game from them anytime soon.
You hit the nail on the head. We should have let them walk away years ago, when they had said they were going to walk away to work on other games. Now the game is broken and everyone who worked on it at launch left. I don’t think they could ever fix it.
I'll admit, it's been a minute since i have seen a Div 2 post for this channel (that's more on me likely). Also, I must be missing something big here, but where in that post does the Dev team actually say they are cancelling the Seasonal Character model? It does not say that at all and pretty much every youtuber is saying it does. I read that they are looking into ways to "progress" without seasonal characters. The key word is "progress." What does that even mean? To me it means we will still be able to progress story, manhunts, leagues, events, etc. with our main. BUT if you want any of the new gear, skins, outfits, etc. (including exotics) you will still need to use a seasonal character. This is my prediction and i am surprised a lot of these content creators are not speculating the same thing. I also believe that content creators that embraced the seasonal character model were just kissing Ubisoft's butt...just my opinion.
I think what broke the backs of us veteran players, was the cancellation of heartland. And a quick death blow was the seasonal character thingy. If they want to turn it around, they could get rid of kenley college, summit, and 1 dark zone. And make new missions from them.

@@travisclay9239 exactly we are already powerful enough in the game there's no need for power creep. do the rest, really rework the gear this time instead of just doubling stats, use the already owned assets to create a few new conflict maps. the answer is really so simple.
Heck If they’d just rerelease the Div 1’s NYC Survival map with some updated assets, reworked loot locations and randomized incoming supply drops, a minor gear/skills overhaul (heck even seasonal loot and gear), and then a separate DZ only mode to stomp around in, they’d be golden until Div 3 releases. If that’s too much work, just tweak WoNY’s map slightly, make it one big PvP Dark Zone or Survival style PvP extraction shooter and be done with it. I’ve recently been back in Div 1 doing some Survival, Underground, and just roaming the DZ. What I’ve come to realize is that I actually miss the total chaos of Last Stand more than anything! The DZ or Survival (busy or empty) is great and all, but those 10 minute bursts of 16 players going gonzo with little to no other point than mayhem? I miss that.
I never asked 50 level cap I never asked NY DZ I sure as hell never asked Zombies. But remember to use EVERYONE when you delegate your message to Dev team.

Devs need to focus on making actual new content, instead of spending time and money into stuff that people don't want.. They also need to stop it with these limited time bundles, simply put those as rewards from playing new content.. Either that or simply add it as a additional option besides buying them for money.. It's not really that deep..

Honest question, I used to love The Division both 1 & 2 but I fell off because the game started to lack the same experience after a year playing . Should I even bother updating and playing now?
The only reason I still come back to this game every once in a while is for the limited-time cosmetics. I do the apparel event for 3 weeks and then I don't touch the game till the next season drops.
I am def not an expert but with over 5k+ hours in Division 1+2 and a trip to Massives headquarter some years back. I have seen your amazing content and you channel been a GREAT support through the years when playing the games. I do not play the game any longer but I do know a little about it. :)) That for sure. And I think you leaning into it. The base game 1 and 2 have been a Huge income for Ubisoft and was a fresh take on the looter shooter. And amazing Storytelling and we got to use guns not just sword, shield or laser weapons! So a total Tom Clancy game with great narrative. . And when that happens we usually see them continue cash in. But I don´t think... And Ubisoft also, you included, have mention this a lot of times. You don´t continue. You restart it with a complete rebuild and engine change. You don´t try fix stuff that we clearly seen can´t be fixed like the game is programmed. So I don´t think we will se a game in the upcoming 3 years..BUT I think we will most def get one. I for one be more than happy if they canceled ALL effort on the game. And put those funding to a new game instead. The game is still amazing and HUGE for newer player to come in and try. We old Dinosaurs that played the living daylight on the streets of New York. To Raids and Season in Washington D.C probably can take a break for some years and look to the future instead. I think it is time!! I much rather take a NEW game with a new take and well thought out stuff they learned from Div 1 and 2. So from me and I know I am not alone. Drop this crap you doing now. Put those cash were its needed and I think a lot of us will be fine with that. Keep up the great work and I hope to watch way more from you in the future!
With seasonal characters the issue was not that we would have to start again but we couldn’t use our main character build that we’ve done so far. It would’ve been nice if they given us an advantage for using a new character for that season eg better gear/guns where we could still use our main character but the advantage would be lost
I haven't bithered to log in since the whole seasonal character thing was announced. Enough is enough. And that's coming from a day one Division player. I was able to survive 1.3 but not this.
I think Extraction would have been better as a DLC for the current Division 2 game. Also one thing I enjoy doing is helping new players get through their missions, level up, and walking them through the process of gathering and getting rid of equipment.
When every shot is 500k damage and your enemies are soaking up MILLIONS of damage, there is something just wrong with your game, it might work on an alien planet, but last time I checked it only takes one bullet to kill a human. This is one of my biggest issues with games like this, also, no vehicles, seriously?
Years of Ubisoft mismanagement see through the lens of one of its best IPs. Too many projects. Too little resourcing. Emphasizing the wrong one (free-to-play). It’s painful to watch. But The Division may survive in spite of it all.
Got suspended with a roll back from the old turret exploit. Saw many do the same thing with no consequences. Gave up on massive ever since. It wasn't that I got suspended. It's that I got rolled back so far I couldn't complete the first and seconds week of rewards.
I've been thinking about all this lately, too. I don’t know how they'll sustain interest in the franchise after waiting too long to start work on Division 3.
As soon as I saw Faye lau after killing keener I knew they dropped the ball on this version. It’s like they ran out of ideas and went for a shock value based on a small comms pitch about fayes sister dying. To then see keener is alive past season has just shown how far this game has fell and they need to move on to div 3
Scrapping the idea of season characters was a bad idea, they should've done what PoE does with their seasons. If you're that stuck on your standard character keep playing it, you'll just have to wait until the season is over to get access to the content that was in that season.
The division 2 could of been more than what it is now. Problem is the publisher.. Ubisoft failed on skulls and bones. Their getting backlash on assassin's creed japan. They cant even ban cheaters in r6. I feel zero hope.

Imo a great "refresh" and brand awareness bump this game needs is a tactical immersion mode. Just for the main game, not multi-player obviously for the builds. But the same global setting from GR breakpoint. You will attract the Ghost recon Bois. The rainbow Bois, the ready or not Bois, etc. Keeping it a looter shooter only attracts people who like those grinds and with this game it's been a up and down grind as you mentioned. I've been here since div 1 and still love the world and the setting and power fantasy of it but I want more challenge that isn't a spongeir enemy. And the hardcore mode... isn't hardcore it's just perma death. I can do that without a dedicated mode.

Division 2 is trash. The gear sets were trash. The politics in the game is Trash. I quit playing after they posted an In Game LGBTQIALPHABET BIG AS A BUILDING flag in the game.

The only innovations I've seen from Ubi in the last few years are bugs, incompetence, and how to screw up a once-burgeoning business. The more I've learned of those working behind the scenes the more all this makes sense. I haven't touched an Ubi game at all this year and I don't see that changing in the future.
All I have ever wanted to see from the division 2 has been new maps and gear. If they would just leave the rest alone and stop trying things that are experimental this late in the game, I think it would actually work. It feels like they are trying to cater to casual players. This just isn’t the game for that. I’m surprised they haven’t tried a battle royal. And yes I know that is kind of what they were shooting for with Heartlands. Honestly, Ubisoft is setting on a gold mine and is very obviously too short sighted to realize it. There is a very loyal fan base here that wants to play the game daily and put thousands of hours in. I will gladly pay for dlc. It just blows my mind why they have chosen to ignore that option outside of warlords of New York.

I don't know how the players ever accepted restarting from Lv1 every few months in the Diablo games. Why would anyone ever want to throw away their progress? Game developers don't respect our time anymore. What's worse is that trash is always tied to things like "get the new sEaSoN cOsMeTiCs" ( 🙄), limited skins, limited camos, etc... worst gaming concept ever.
Diablo is a different game than Div 2. The seasonal grind is for people who like racing to get to the top of the ladder. Leveling to max in D4 is a few hour endeavor. Min maxing takes about a week or 2 of play at most due to how much more common loot is. In a few hours of play in any Diablo game I go through hundreds of pieces of loot, in a game like Div 2 or Destiny 2 that drops 10 fold so it takes significantly longer to min max and get your builds online. On top of having new seasonal exotics and seasonal content that is designed to be experience with new builds while leveling. There's nothing wrong with that game model imo as long as the game was designed with that intent and it feels fun. That being said, I also thought it was a mistake for Div 2.
@@arturoayala3987 This. And Diablo has always been a grindy title. It's kind of the thing. And it's aimed at people who likes doing that. You can ignore seasons of course, if you don't want your progress reset, but you miss out on the seasonal content, which is a bit sad. If they would transfer the seasonal content to Eternal Realm after the season is concluded in some form it would be great, but as it stands right now it's a one and done deal.

Got bored with the first one really fast even though all my friends loved it. Not enough content to interest me. Not really here for Division 2 news, just giving Lt Buzz Lightbeer the views. I refuse to buy any Ubisoft game now anyways because of their greed which is a shame since I do like some of their IPs. Seriously though, dont buy their products, their CEO clearly stated that you own nothing when you buy their games. We as gamers absolutely can't reward that type of behavior from game developers.

With the division 1 they had the perfect game.
They didn't need to create a the Division 2.
We just needed new maps in 1, both for dark zone and PvE.
They missed a great opportunity.

Ubisoft never once cared about the players in the original Division. Cheaters were so rampant and they did nothing. More than half of the paid streamers for the game were cheating themselves. Even with video evidence of cheating, the banned nobody and did nothing. They lost my respect and no longer deserve my money.
Exactly. Honestly, the game died with the infamous update 1.5 of Division 1.
The Division 1 was still the best in terms of immersion. Ubisoft has done that one for a long time. They are always surprisingly quick with "fixing" anything that can lead to player advantage but bugs stay in the game for years. Like R6 Siege. When hiding spot is found it gets removed within weeks but there are bugs and crashes that are there for atleast 4 years. Like one when Battleeye anticheat fails to connect and authenticate on launch of R6 Siege and causes BSOD crash. It was never fixed and as far as i know it was never even adressed from Ubisoft. Havent played Division in a while. Might try 1st Division once again. Even after all that has happened and i dont play Division anymore because i got tired of it i still like the concept. Just wish it wasnt that limited and repetitive gameplay.
I love killing the end bosses on seasonal manhunt targets then it goes to the cut scene and I die to a freaking npc that didn't die before the boss.

That's your fault, it's widely known that difficulty has to be at the highest options at end game. You can't play on normal, and finishing summit is more about your exotic projects. And also your supposed to do the summit tasks and you get extra exotics. I still play Div 1 and love every moment. I’ve returned to Div 2 from time to time and it just doesn’t connect.
This was the game for me. However, they didn't ruin my trust in the Division... They ruined my trust in Ubisoft.
I am sick of my control points resetting after every log in
I don’t have any hope for the division three, when I watched the gameplay trailer for the division one and saw how it was advertised. (I urge everyone to rewatch the first gameplay trailer of the division one and compare it to how the division one ended up, and how the division two ended up.) the problem with the division one was that enemies became bullet spongy, and after the survival mode, and the underground came out the game almost died immediately there were probably only like 30 people and me playing the underground missions at the lowest possible player base.
Then, when I saw the advertising for the division two and that they said they were gonna make the enemies less bullets spongy by incorporating armor units I was a static, finally the game was going to be more similar to ghost recon with RPG extra light gameplay. And the very beginning of the game was so much fun. It was exactly what I wanted in a division game. And then it came to the endgame.
The endgame was exactly as bullet spongy as the first division game. Which means ubi never actually solved the problem of the division one with. Upper sponge all they did was prolong the issue. It took forever to kill armored enemies in the second division game and just like before, I was there at the lowest player count right when they introduced raids. And just because I was such a young kid I didn’t know how to find people to play with. Because there was no matchmaking for the raids. This division three is going to be the exact same thing, they don’t know what they’re gonna do and whatever they choose is going to be something that some 50-year-old boomer decided to do, not knowing what the community actually wants from the game. And that’s why this is never going to succeed and I’m really upset that that is my unwavering opinion. I want this game to be possibly good. But at the hands of ubi it just won’t happen.
Here’s a question that I believe a good amount of players can answer easily and truthfully. When is the last time Ubisoft made a quality game in the last 8 years?I’m gonna say 1 and that’s a real shame. Far cry five wasn’t good. They made like six wheel of Fortune games, they remastered all the assassins Creed games and they released ghost recon breakpoint. They released Valhalla, which was literally just be busy the game, then far cry six which also wasn’t good, they did rainbow six extraction which failed. The only game that was considered generally favorable was assassin’s Creed Mirage. Which wasn’t even a return to form that they advertised. Ubisoft will never give us what we want from this franchise or many other franchises, which is a completely different argument to make that hopefully will be told one day, they never learn from any of their mistakes

Isn't it crazy how they have such a hardcore fanbase that would probably through money at this game without batting an eyelash they are too blind to see it but they are worried about taking the team that made the game what it is to only split them up and crush the player base.
They had the perfect opportunity to release Heartlands instead. Turn about and say they are sorry allow the devs to finish it I believe it was already finished. Then release it with a fanfare! Heck, charge us a few quid for the game if you are scared it won't make money at free-to-play. We will pay! As long as the IP has some bleeding respect paid to it...
Make that the next Division game until Division 3 whenever that happens. I won't hold my breath; If Massive has anything to do with it! Let one of the teams passionate about the IP take it over. Give them the darn resources and time and above all show the players some respect!!!!

Here's the thing. Players never gave the devs the chance to explain what exactly they were going to do with seasonal characters. Most of us just got on the hate train and let it go. It could have been fun, but Yall freaked out when we heard we'd start with new characters (TEMPORARILY)
So, them having to change ideas is just as much on players as the devs.
Hopefully, now that Star Wars and the Pandora game is out, the original dev team will return, along with the new studio that's set to help out.
I do agree, however, it's been a long road full of broken promises, that have followed the series since Div 1.

There is no other game like Division 2 out there, The first Decendant,Warframe,Destiny 2,Outriders, Hell even GR:Breaking Point aint even close there is nothing to compete against i would like to se a whole new IP that uses the same mechanics that are expanded on but keeps that tacticool cover looter shooter vibe.

The player count is going down and can’t even be compared to destinys success. Division 2 is the best at what it does and that’s mainly because it’s in a class of its own but it is by far the worst in every way at everything else. In summary, it’s a terribly made game that failed miserably even what its success was guaranteed

The first Division 1 was really good imho. Even the footage and voice recordings were realistic, I went cold finding out the aftermath of the first wave of the SHD, and was hoping for a real life adaptation of the franchise because it was surreal and bleak, the story telling was actually good for a game.
The only thing that keeps me coming back is playing all the glitches that come with updates.
They need a Survivalist Div 1 mode for Div 2. They need raids that require a healer, tank, tech and attack team like the old Div 1. Tired of running 4 team strikers through all content.

Oh man, I remember the Faye Lau moment. I couldn't believe that THAT was it. Unbelievably underwhelming. That was the moment I felt I needed a break lol.
I actually quit for a long time after Season 4 being a flop, obly come back a few times to keep with updates.
But I decide to quit for real because it randomly crash despite a years passed and I switch from laptop to PC already.
A real shame, started playing the division 1 in 2018 on the day my son was born so I could watch him sleep and try to chill, was hooked and the franchise will always have a place in my heart.

Seasonal characters weren’t fresh. Hey, grind from level 1 - 40 again every season isn’t new content or a fresh take.
In a game that had dedicated players put in thousands of hours to build up their characters, relegating those characters to a 2 week intermission at the end of a 15 week season wasn’t a terribly bright idea. It was an idea from a team that really doesn’t know what they’re doing.
I’ve said this before, but this team really isn’t all that good at what they do unfortunately.
I’m glad they’re backing off from seasonal characters. I’ll listen to whatever plan they come up with and then decide whether I’m in or out.
I’ve had one eye out looking for an exit ramp a while now. I’m not confident this team will come up suddenly come up with something great.
Despite their announcement TD3 has hardly even started pre production. It will be years before they launch it and I still feel like there is an excellent chance it never gets made.
I have lots of good memories of TD2. It’s the game that got me through the pandemic. Like all good things, it might be time for this to come to an end. Might be time to retire my agent.
one word... SURVIVAL! adding this game mode instead of descent and the summit would have given us another replayable game mode like countdown that people would flock to. this would solve the pvp problem and the dark zone problem in one go and given us some thing fun to do while we wait.

Maybe seasonal characters will become optional? You get new arm patches, exotics, weapons, etc... when doing so?
I feel like the seasonal character thing is like the prestige system in incremental idle clicker games on mobile, which you reset the whole thing to earn something that just boost the progression from the beginning, then when progression slow down you reset again and again. I don't like the feeling of loosing things I earned at all.
I even want the devs or whoever managing the game to make an option that players can share/carry over SHD level between Division 2 & 3, if there will be a third game of the franchise

I stopped playing after no raid matchmaking, i thought it was ridiculous, if the people who were against it realized that if they didnt want to risk grouping with idiots, they could just do the LFG that was forced on those of us who rather matchmake and dont have the time or need to go LFG for 7 others. That honestly killed the game for me, then i came back with warlords, enjoyed it, hated the story ending which thank god they retconned, but i came back for some of the story after skipping a couple of seasons, and just came back to play those for a while and nothing else, the recent season with the retcon brought me back to be willing to do other stuff and put time into it, and lately ive been doing descent daily for hours and the fact is, that mode expects dedicating hours, ive had to stop playing around lvl 23 multiple times due to not having more than 6 plus hours. the fact there is no checkpoint system where you can log off and start that lvl over, especially with delta errors and other things like being kicked for inactivity and losing every bit of progress, to the absolute ridiculous spamming of non stop drones, turrets, etc as a way of "difficulty" i miss the legendary missions from div 1, i still go back and play them and that game from time to time, and even last year almost daily played last stand and survival, and the global events that they randomly decided to stop doing and not let us know anything. I am not sure why i spend time in descent maybe its due to it being like survival mixed with resistance, but with the fact they make 3 rotations limiting skills for those rotations, they really fucked that up badly, i thought the point of the mode was to go as far as you could with whatever builds you can throw together on the fly. THis game has so much potential but it should have been either heavily supported without ubisoft pulling the plug, or just had them do division 3 a lot earlier, div 1 had a lot more to offer and they rushed into forcing a sequel instead of just building on that game, which in my opinion is completely way better overall, at thtis point i would be fine with a legit remaster and adding open world stuff like the checkpoints. But the atmosphere in div 1 is untouchable still to this date for me, it felt like the end of the world and chaos, you actually felt the dread just exploring, MY biggest issue with div2 is the hyperfixation on military conspiracies. I feel the game was better with a villain like keener being the main one and chasing him, instead of out of nowhere its a COD action thriller futuristic warfare ordeal. I enjoy div 2 outside of its huge flaws, but its always been jarring to me the direction of this story, and how they completely changed how characters acted and keener in warlords was a prime example. I do enjoy this newer season with the retcon and the current trials but it just doesnt have the atmosphere the franchise originally had that set it completely apart from every other military eque type shooter thats flooded the markets for decades.
Division 1 had a planned TEN YEARS of support... 10. They dropped it with year 2 for Division 2. The game is still online, but that's hardly what i would call support. Ubisoft has overpromised and underdelivered with the Division since the first game. Division 3 needs to be set in the winter again, and it needs to launch READY, without revising the gear etc, and it has to have solid end game or it's going to be the last Division game ever made.
Which sucks, because i love me some Division. But it's being mishandled and it blows my mind that they saw 40m players as a fail.
After 5+ years the Dev's are out of ideas and it shows . The game is the Titanic , we the players are the passengers , the dev's are the fucking iceberg and Yannick is Caledon Hockley .
The ubisoft dev team is consistent at failure. they lack vision, planning, development execution, testing, and most importantly leadership and accountability. every release is full of bugs new and exponential issues.
Man i loved the Division 2: got over 800 hours and a dozen loadouts. I had to leave the game and never look back. It is infuriating the poor technical state of the game with multiple crashes every hour, while still having micro transactions. Not to mention everything else wrong with Ubisoft. People still complain on the Steam forums. It’s sad because the base game itself is extraordinary. A travesty.
Remember the specializations update that got abandoned, i feel like that may have been a better avenue than the terrible seasonal character nonsense.
Alright, here we go again. Do you know what Division 2 needs just as much as support from Ubisoft? Support from the Division community. No matter what they try and do, everyone has something negative to say. Members of the dev team are threatened on social media. Content creators have stated that the dev team should be fired. None of us have ever developed our own video game. So we have no idea what goes into the process. Everyone wants to say Division 1 is better than Division 2. Does anyone who played either remember Division 1 was around a 30-hour game? We could finish Division 1 in a day and a half, and there wasn't anything to do for almost a year. Then, they revamped the game into it's last version and moved on to Division 2.
They started working on Div 2 the day after Div 1 launched that's why this franchise has been and will always be in the sh*tter

The original team on the division is currently finishing star wars game once patches and everything done they moving back to the division franchise to work on division 3

@sheepfly ubisoft just gave the head of star wars outlaws a promotion once everything done with that game. To go back and take over all the division projects he also announced on x that division 3 will be worked on once he finishes with patches and dlc on outlaws once that done he will start the project on division 3
@Dugski2310 division 2 was a mess because ubisoft refuse to give the dev another year to work on the game not only that they move half of the dev to start working on star wars outlaws way before division 2 was gold. So this time. The guy in charge of the division made it clear he will only take the promotion if ubisoft respect the time they need to work on the next division so no rushing them if the game half done. Now he will take over 3 studio and somehow my understanding created and merge all studio as a new studio. To make division 3 so it won't be as a mess like before. So let's wait and see. Ubisoft agreed not to intervene that's way their hasn't been any division updates. Cause the guy who going to take over all project on the division starting 2025. Is still working on outlaws. But they are dev working on 2 different division project. 1 of them was supposed to be released this year but we haven't got an update for over 1 year. 3rd project was canceled. So let's see. This all depends if ubisoft see potential. 40 million players died out over time. So who knows if ubisoft will do. But. They have been losing money and if the 2 games fails this year the division might be the only hope they have to turn things around. I think that's why ubisoft wants to create a big division studio and go all in. Who knows. But as of last month they stated the guy who work on 2 division games will take over of all projects on all division starting 2025. But ubisoft can change their minds. Let's see
@@MysticalCabal to be honest mate I am all but done with gaming, was a daily division 2 player up untill 3 weeks ago, assassins creed mirage another ubisoft game can't even play that from time to time it freezes and crashes back to xbox homepage, I could go on about other games you pay your money and are expected to wait for fixes when problems crop up, it's about time you could get a refund on a game if your not happy with it, you can bet games would be released in a better state then, I dread the thought of even turning on my console these days.
Division 1 and 2 need a studio to pick it up thats gunna actually support it like it needs. Not Ubiflop where they support a game for 2 years, get it 60-70% complete and move on to the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th iteration of the same goddamn game.

I hope they bring seasonal characters back. I purchased the game recently because they announced it. Now i'll just get stuck with getting absolutely stomped in the DZ from someone that played thousands of hours.
I don't get what people are mad about. Didnt they say once the season ends your character goes to the normal mode? So your characters you've worked on are still playable as you normally would.
They are stupid, and most of them cheated and glitched out the watch with an exploit in the dark zone. It's the reason why I stopped playing because I didn't cheat. When the exploit was finally patched players had maxed out their watches and when I got I to the dark zone I was losing fights that I should have won because of the amount of bonus damage and health other players got from cheating and glitching out their watches. After that I said fuck this game, players never got punished for cheating stats never got reset. It was just a stupid decision for the devs to add the watch to the game. I got on recently because I heard about seasonal characters and refreshing stats every season only for cheaters to cry and get the devs to reverse their ideas to grow their game with new content and a boost to the player base. This game should say new players aren't welcome because they literally aren't. My watch is below 300 and I said what the hell let me play a little n see what happens. I tried only to get kicked out of matchmaking repeatedly by players that were level 1000 to 25000. On an even playing field with no watch bonus stats I would destroy most of those no lifers! I'm done with the division until bonus stats are removed from the game and the focus is back on gear and weapons from looting and extracting in the dark zone. No game should be based on farming health and damage to have an edge over players that actually have lives and wanna enjoy a few hours of gaming after work and enjoy a good dark zone experience.
I rarely touch D2 anymore due to the Seasons being the same each and every time. Give us a new location or something. I think that to get the players back, to continue the game, they need to add in Heartland as a DLC. This would prolong D2 until the launch of Division 3. I just think it's a shame that this game as gone down like this.
It was one of my all time favourite franchises from Ubisoft alongside Assassin's Creed, Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell. However, now it just feels like they are just dragging it through the mud as well as it's community that love this franchise so much.
Its so sad to hear this. I fell in love with divison 1 and it was such a crazy experience because i have never played anything like it. One of the first games ive ever joined a community discord because i loved it so much. The game had problems but it was still so good that ive sunk more hours into then any other game ever. I unfortunanly always have to remember that you can never trust ubisoft, and they will always disappoint you in some way. Hopefully the game will find its footing and they give it the love it deserves because the game could really be good if they did.
So the question is, with all that has gone on with The Division 2 will you be buying The Division 3?

I haven't played since Lau went rogue. After session and sessions crashing to desktop with no fix on the horizon, I said to hell with it and uninstalled everything Ubishaft related.
After alpha and beta testing both Division games...they seriously screwed this franchise and put it away wet.
I'm done with Ubi. I'm too damned old to deal with this level of BS anymore.
I actually enjoyed the Heartland test. I'd rather they devote all assets to Div. 3 if it's even still in the works at all. To be honest with Heartland's cancellation and the crap show Ubisoft is showing us, I doubt I'll touch another game from them anytime soon.

I'll admit, it's been a minute since i have seen a Div 2 post for this channel (that's more on me likely). Also, I must be missing something big here, but where in that post does the Dev team actually say they are cancelling the Seasonal Character model? It does not say that at all and pretty much every youtuber is saying it does. I read that they are looking into ways to "progress" without seasonal characters. The key word is "progress." What does that even mean? To me it means we will still be able to progress story, manhunts, leagues, events, etc. with our main. BUT if you want any of the new gear, skins, outfits, etc. (including exotics) you will still need to use a seasonal character. This is my prediction and i am surprised a lot of these content creators are not speculating the same thing. I also believe that content creators that embraced the seasonal character model were just kissing Ubisoft's butt...just my opinion.
I think what broke the backs of us veteran players, was the cancellation of heartland. And a quick death blow was the seasonal character thingy. If they want to turn it around, they could get rid of kenley college, summit, and 1 dark zone. And make new missions from them.

@@travisclay9239 exactly we are already powerful enough in the game there's no need for power creep. do the rest, really rework the gear this time instead of just doubling stats, use the already owned assets to create a few new conflict maps. the answer is really so simple.
Heck If they’d just rerelease the Div 1’s NYC Survival map with some updated assets, reworked loot locations and randomized incoming supply drops, a minor gear/skills overhaul (heck even seasonal loot and gear), and then a separate DZ only mode to stomp around in, they’d be golden until Div 3 releases. If that’s too much work, just tweak WoNY’s map slightly, make it one big PvP Dark Zone or Survival style PvP extraction shooter and be done with it.
I’ve recently been back in Div 1 doing some Survival, Underground, and just roaming the DZ. What I’ve come to realize is that I actually miss the total chaos of Last Stand more than anything! The DZ or Survival (busy or empty) is great and all, but those 10 minute bursts of 16 players going gonzo with little to no other point than mayhem? I miss that.

They also need to stop it with these limited time bundles, simply put those as rewards from playing new content.. Either that or simply add it as a additional option besides buying them for money.. It's not really that deep..

Honest question, I used to love The Division both 1 & 2 but I fell off because the game started to lack the same experience after a year playing . Should I even bother updating and playing now?
The only reason I still come back to this game every once in a while is for the limited-time cosmetics. I do the apparel event for 3 weeks and then I don't touch the game till the next season drops.

I am def not an expert but with over 5k+ hours in Division 1+2 and a trip to Massives headquarter some years back. I have seen your amazing content and you channel been a GREAT support through the years when playing the games. I do not play the game any longer but I do know a little about it. :)) That for sure.
And I think you leaning into it. The base game 1 and 2 have been a Huge income for Ubisoft and was a fresh take on the looter shooter. And amazing Storytelling and we got to use guns not just sword, shield or laser weapons! So a total Tom Clancy game with great narrative. . And when that happens we usually see them continue cash in.

You don´t continue. You restart it with a complete rebuild and engine change. You don´t try fix stuff that we clearly seen can´t be fixed like the game is programmed. So I don´t think we will se a game in the upcoming 3 years..BUT I think we will most def get one. I for one be more than happy if they canceled ALL effort on the game. And put those funding to a new game instead.
The game is still amazing and HUGE for newer player to come in and try. We old Dinosaurs that played the living daylight on the streets of New York. To Raids and Season in Washington D.C probably can take a break for some years and look to the future instead. I think it is time!!

With seasonal characters the issue was not that we would have to start again but we couldn’t use our main character build that we’ve done so far. It would’ve been nice if they given us an advantage for using a new character for that season eg better gear/guns where we could still use our main character but the advantage would be lost
I haven't bithered to log in since the whole seasonal character thing was announced. Enough is enough. And that's coming from a day one Division player. I was able to survive 1.3 but not this.
I think Extraction would have been better as a DLC for the current Division 2 game. Also one thing I enjoy doing is helping new players get through their missions, level up, and walking them through the process of gathering and getting rid of equipment.
When every shot is 500k damage and your enemies are soaking up MILLIONS of damage, there is something just wrong with your game, it might work on an alien planet, but last time I checked it only takes one bullet to kill a human. This is one of my biggest issues with games like this, also, no vehicles, seriously?
Years of Ubisoft mismanagement see through the lens of one of its best IPs. Too many projects. Too little resourcing. Emphasizing the wrong one (free-to-play).

Got suspended with a roll back from the old turret exploit. Saw many do the same thing with no consequences. Gave up on massive ever since. It wasn't that I got suspended. It's that I got rolled back so far I couldn't complete the first and seconds week of rewards.
I've been thinking about all this lately, too. I don’t know how they'll sustain interest in the franchise after waiting too long to start work on Division 3.
As soon as I saw Faye lau after killing keener I knew they dropped the ball on this version. It’s like they ran out of ideas and went for a shock value based on a small comms pitch about fayes sister dying. To then see keener is alive past season has just shown how far this game has fell and they need to move on to div 3
Maybe if the devs read a few of Tom Clancy's books they'd understand their player base a little better.
Nearly 21k hrs. invested between Div 1 and Div 2. Walked away nearly 2 1/2 yrs ago. No regrets with my decision to do so.

Scrapping the idea of season characters was a bad idea, they should've done what PoE does with their seasons. If you're that stuck on your standard character keep playing it, you'll just have to wait until the season is over to get access to the content that was in that season.
The division 2 could of been more than what it is now. Problem is the publisher.. Ubisoft failed on skulls and bones. Their getting backlash on assassin's creed japan. They cant even ban cheaters in r6. I feel zero hope.

I used to consider this franchise my all-time favorite. I left a few patches after the release of WoNY. TD2 has been broken for a long time.
Imo a great "refresh" and brand awareness bump this game needs is a tactical immersion mode. Just for the main game, not multi-player obviously for the builds. But the same global setting from GR breakpoint. You will attract the Ghost recon Bois. The rainbow Bois, the ready or not Bois, etc. Keeping it a looter shooter only attracts people who like those grinds and with this game it's been a up and down grind as you mentioned. I've been here since div 1 and still love the world and the setting and power fantasy of it but I want more challenge that isn't a spongeir enemy. And the hardcore mode... isn't hardcore it's just perma death. I can do that without a dedicated mode.

I legit no-lifed 1. I quit 2 after a month or two. Felt more like I was playing WoW instead of division and just felt wildly underwhelming.
That’s specifically what irked mexsbout the hop from Div1 to Div2. The continuity between shat we did in d1 and d2 was nothing your time spent in NY and any connection you might have to your old character(s) were absolutely torn asunder.😾😿🙀😵😵💫😓😱
