      I was hoping that I could change the sound without shifting the drive mode especially to Baja. Then the ability to change the steering wheel mode from normal to light. That 2 features would be nice to have eventhough my Raptor has 2.0 Bi Turbo Diesel Engine

    Paddle shifters should be on the dash not the steering wheel

    • @phrankeeecars
      @phrankeeecars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Why?

    • @powderskier5547
      @powderskier5547 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@phrankeeecars Ok, Firstly, I have the generation 1 Raptor and I ordered Gen 2 back in April and still waiting for it. I also have a second car that has paddle shifters mounted on the dash, the changing of gears with paddle shift on dash is much more easily done without arm twisting and confusion. It's when your turning the wheel and trying to change gears that makes the steering wheel mounted shift so much more difficult and I think dangerous as you have less control on the vehicle. I dont use the paddles on my Raptor any more but I do on my other vehicle. You will find all the upper end sports cars example Ferrari, Rimac Nevera etc etc that have them on the dash. To top this discussion off, I have 30 years of motor racing experience.

    • @phrankeeecars
      @phrankeeecars  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Powder Skier Point taken, but I don't think there is right or wong or should or shouldn't to this, it all comes down to personal preferences and manufacturer preferences. You will find almost all German and American brands have steering wheel mounted paddles, and only a few Italian and hypercar brands still use column mounted paddles. I have owned 911 GT3 and 911 Turbo with PDK and a few German sports cars, and I don't think they are less sporty because of the paddle placement. It's even less important in a truck like this, and I bet 99% of owners never use their paddles on the road (probably more when off-roading).

    • @Ont785
      @Ont785 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The paddle shifters should be on the steering wheel. That is where the yard with any reasonable car with paddle shifters.
      Usually, they are controlled by your fingertips behind the steering wheel, so that way your hands never come off the steering wheel ?
      That’s how it is on sports cars.
      I’m not sure who wants to take their hands off a steering wheel to push a button

      Is there such a thing to have too much tech for a modern truck? The driving experience is still pretty engaging
