Thank you for being a valuable smart lady who knows her stuff and tells the real price without the fluff,I really enjoy your video's and your knowledgeable input and soft soothing voice.Your Great!
Love the points about pewter! I did not know that the ceramic inlay was a sign of an older piece. Also, the wooden knobs and handles being older. Another fabulous video Dr. Lori!! ❤
Thanks for the wonderful lesson about pewter pieces! I don’t see a lot of it around, and now I know a bit more about it. My friend’s dad was a Scandinavian furniture importer in the 70s, so I realize where my love of this furniture comes from.
Dr Lori I just love you.... When I was 12 years old I started my own antique booth in the antique shop downtown Fort Wayne Indiana.... I'm 41 years old now and have been selling antiques and collectibles on the side.... I got to tell you Dr Lori I just love you you're a wealth of knowledge kindness and gratitude.... What I would do to be your best friend we would have so much fun hunting thrift shops and estate sales together❤love you . Erik
I have been watching you for a long time. Never fails. I always learn something new!! Thank you ❣️ By the way, I love your handbag 👜 one of my favorite brands ❤️
Thank you for passing on your knowledge to us. I have so many glass pieces and nic nacks from relatives and I don't know what is junk or what has value. Of coarse there is sentimental value but I have so many pieces that many are boxed up. Could you educate us about mid-century nic-nacks? Thanks so much!!
I have many videos on the subject. Have you had a chance to use the search feature on my channel? You can also show me your pieces. I look at photos of pieces and/or you can show me pieces during a video call. You may find details on my website.
@DrLoriV WOW!! I didn't expect a personal reply, especially advising me to veido call you!!! That was so unexpected and so nice of you!!! I really appreciate it!! My sister is visiting from England now but I will dig out all my stuff one day. I'm sure I don't have real good stuff but you never know! Thanks again and I will try to check more of your videos. Have a great day and God Bless Dr. Lori!!
Really appreciate your advice on pewter value. I have several Wilton Armetale pewter trays and bowls that haven't sold, as well as some German pewter cups, all in great condition. I think I'll hang on to them a little longer if they might sell in 2026.
We know your love of blue and white dishes so what are your everyday dish and fine china patterns? I look at the four patterns I have and they all but sing out their time periods. I still do love my grandmother’s Noritake “made in occupied Japan” china and my Waterford and Sterling silver and use them almost daily. I guess I haven’t gotten tired of them yet?? Sad no girls in the family.
I can help you, but need to see your specific pieces. Many factors affect value. I can look at photos of your pieces or you can show the pieces to me during a video call. Please find the details on my website.
How about the bunches of grapes? I have 2 ,but they are not glass. I have tons of glass fruit as well. Are they worth much and are those grapes in the video acrylic???
