Staying in a Scottish castle - but was it worth it? | NC500 DAY 5 & 6

- Our last 2 days of Scotland's North Coast 500 road trip! We travelled down the East Coast, ticking off Castle Sinclair Girnigoe, the Whaligoe Steps and Dunrobin Castle before checking into Dornoch Castle Hotel to find out whether it was worth paying more over a B&B. We ended off the trip with a whisky tasting before heading back to to Inverness Castle to share our final costs and thoughts on the whole journey.

Hi Chelsea and James ,just finished watching your 6 day trip along NC 500 in Scotland.This is the summary per person Staying £250 for five nights.Petrol £130 (If sharing £65 PP) .In total £315 PP.Please note this is the price excluding your transportation from London to Inverness and the care hire from Inversness.If you add them them then the price is more.I normally use this number as a rule of thumb £100 Per day PP.If you have your car then you have to to ride to Inverness which will be added to your above cost.This might come to less than £600 PP if you have your own car.Happy travelling guys

Stayed at Duroch castle a few years ago, were not in the main building but in the extension and was not very impressed with the room for a very similar price, and the car park was tiny, if you have a big car the gateway was nightmarish to get through and park, but would still do it just because we also could say we stayed in a castle sort of
A nice reminder of what we Anglophile Yanks are missing...thanks for a lovely trip around Scotland.

loved the video and i am also a clumsy person i can walk costal paths and no issue but walk on a flat surface and find the smallest height difference and fall over. And ive heard of those fisher woman they were hardy lassies.
