Detangling before shampoo, was life changing for me. So true, silicone isnt a demon like they make it out to be, especially the soluble kind, so too with the clarifying shampoo, necessary at least once a month. Shea butter is my sealant and i stay moisturized for a week. Amen sister, leave it to my tangle teezer and flax gel. Yep, listening to your hair is the right. I have waist lentgh hair, so it's definitely worth it.
Thanks for sharing! Your hair is beautiful. I agree! I also stop extension and weaves. And my hair is thriving especially my hairline. It's alot thicker now. 😊 Great tips! 😊❤❤🎉🎉
This lady knows her stuff. One of the few youtubers that I listen to when it comes to natural hair care. Your point about frequent wash days is so true....been doing this more along with pre-poo and sectioning my hair has helped my hair feel so much softer and manageable. Pls keep your hair care videos coming. We are listening !!xxx
I listen to few also now. It all depends on your scalp status and texture. Backed by scientific research, some can go 2months with a clean scalp. While others will get burning, bumps, and itching. What she is say is true _for her_ . And those that half similar hair profiles. So, Im not put off anymore when someone says they only wash once a month. Some naturals have high sebum production, and others have low( like myself) They too can go without washing for that long. Everything is back with scientific research.
I agree, you definately have to listen to YOUR hair and see what works for you. I think I was making comment on what's been working for me which was frequent washes and emphasis on conditioning the hair in the process. You have to understand that everything said may or may not work for your individual hair. But I must say on the most part what this lady has shared in terms of hair care advice has been working for me. So I'm glad. The biggest things I've taken away is being patient and gentle with my hair, which consists of me adding moisture to it before I do anything and sectioning it out x
How do you get your twists to stop unravelling when you're washing!? 😭 My hair is about shoulder length but I cannot for the life of me keep my braids from unravelling. Maybe smaller sections ?
Smaller sections yes and also your twisting technique makes a lot of difference (twist loosely at the roots and firm the rest of the way down). You could also try loose plaits and then when you get to the ends leave it out 👑
@pinkieluvspink that would be a technique problem in this case, even though you're washing in twists your technique still matters to avoid tangled roots.
I condition and detangle before shampooing with a rinse out conditioner as mentioned in the video. Check out my full routine here: th-cam.com/video/XvAtk53Ibic/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared 👑
That's never really been part of my routine however scalp massages are great for stimulating blood flow to the scalp. Personally, I only massage my scalp when I shampoo.

I’m interested in knowing what you were doing after you stopped back to back extensions. I assume extensions mean braids so did you switch to wigs or were you only doing natural hair styles?

So glad you can relate sis 🙌🏾 and thanks for sharing some of your experiences 👑
Thank you for sharing. I’ve been struggling to get to midback length. I’d be so happy if my hair was midback length
You're welcome! You can get there sis trust me, focus on length retention, a good regimen, good hair care practices and products etc 👑
Meanwhile Im at mid back and stuck
WET each section of hair before Detangling. This makes the process so much easier ✅👏🏽👍🏽
Yes 💯! That's exactly what I do, WET hair add CONDITIONER and then detangle 👌🏾
Wash my hair at least every other day!no tangles. No breakage. Hair grows down to my knees.
Thanks for sharing! Your hair is beautiful. I agree! I also stop extension and weaves. And my hair is thriving especially my hairline. It's alot thicker now. 😊
Great tips! 😊❤❤🎉🎉

I have this problem too (same length) . I've tried this and my ends are good, but my roots get extremely matted.
@pinkieluvspink that would be a technique problem in this case, even though you're washing in twists your technique still matters to avoid tangled roots.
Do you apply anything to your hair to help detangle before shampoo?
