Couple of things: the Double Pitzen is an amazing knot and I’ve been using it for about a year now since I saw Tyler Berger demonstrate how to tie it on his channel. I kept breaking off on hook sets using fluorocarbon and a fisherman’s knot with a Carolina rig. Monofilament is fine using a fisherman’s knot but not fluorocarbon. I use the Double Pitzen knot now and haven’t broken off at all. Tyler actually did a very scientific test of different knot strengths and the Double Pitzen came in second with the San Diego Jam knot coming in slightly better at first. Both were significantly better than the Palomar. The fisherman’s knot did not perform well at all. Thanks Brandon for doing this video. It reinforces that I’m using good knots and I’m sure many people will find it useful.
I like to use the other type of double uni knot when tying to a bait. Its doubled like a palomar knot but you tie a uni knot with the doubled line. I think its probably comparable to the double pitzen/san diego jam knot. Aaron Martens used to talk about that knot a lot so i figured I would copy him and it has worked well for me so far lol.
Lol I'm assuming your talking about the fg. It's all about when you put the tension. Just remember keep the fluoro tight and straight. Pull the braid tight around straight fluoro

I’m a double SDJ on lures and Alberto knot guy for leaders.. I rarely break at my leader, I use 7 wraps down and 6 or 7 back.
Are There any Other Knots That You Like to Use?
Always used Palomar myself I've never seen the double pitzen

That third knot is the Alberto knot. It’s what I use because I found it to be the easiest and quickest for me.
Fantastic video on knot tying. I got it.
You are too humble, demonstration was perfect
Thanks
What knot do you prefer when you are tying straight braid to a bait, like heavy flipping or a buzz bait?
I use a palomer knot. I know some people use others but always had it work well for me
that knot is called the Alburto knot
Why is it look so simple but I be dam I can't do it 😂😂
