I made these biscuits today. I made a mistake by adding without measure the butter. Which lead in flat biscuit 😂. But it’s yum and melts in mouth. Tip: for some who like sweet biscuits should add more sugar. Because its more like salty biscuits.

Hi I tried this with exact cup measurements. 2/3 cup I measured as 157 ml butter. But I was not able to make the big rectangle and do the cookie cutter shapes. The dough crumbled .I had to cling wrap as a rectangle bar and place them in fridge. After 30 min, I took them out,cut into small squares. What could have gone wrong with the shaping? Can you let me know? Taste was good though.
Thanks for your attempt, and the question! From your explanation, it looks like you made the dough in correct consistency. The dough will crumble, but while making it as a layer, you need to gently tap, bring together and form the layer. Then it will be easier to use any shape cutter to make shapes likes shown. I hope this will be helpful, please give a try and let me know your experience. cheers. 😊
Simple, 1cup flour will be 120gm and the same for sugar it will be 200gm. So based on the quantity of preparation, the ingredients proportions can be measured accordingly before starting the process. I hope this helps. Happy baking! 😊
actually for this recipe you will need ghee, which is melted butter! based on what you have at home, you can use ghee directly or if you have butter, then melt it and use as step by step indicated. I hope this will be helpful, please give a try and share your experience, will look forward to hear from you. 😊
