Gen 7 was peak gaming. Two of the main factors to move games and consoles are graphics and creativity. We're at a point in technology where the leap in graphics is not that drastic anymore. Some ps3 and 360 games look just as a good as the current gen. That plus devs today show no creativity and rely on remakes for sales. It doesn't bode well for future gens. Retro could get even more popular.
Exactly! Play my 360, PS3 and Wii as much or, even more than my Switch and Series X. Am considering selling my Series X. The 360 games that are backwards compatible play and, look nice on the Series X. But honestly still play and look good enough on the 360 it's self.
I'm gonna keep a it a buck, with so many games coming to PC and all the freedom with controller compatibility and so many form factors (SFF, fullsize, Handheld), there aren't too many reasons for most people to pick up a console at this point. I don't know what the point of consoles will be next gen (outsize of simplicity) if unless they go back to console exclusives.

Game development is taking longer
Okay cool... Thought this was gonna be one of those PC almighty videos. That being said... If you don't own a console right now it's very easy to figure what to buy at the moment. If you love great story based games and have the funds to drop $70 every time one drops, get the PS5. If you're more of an average gamer that likes to save money i.e. (Game Pass) and still want to play good games get the Xbox X. The Switch... Well the Switch is the Switch enough said. Imo I would go this route, get the X, if you really want to play Sony 7-8 Great Exclusives now get the Steam Deck. Then just wait a little longer and get the PS5 Pro when it comes out which is coming very soon. But that's my opinion, enjoy dudes 😎
I agree. I've played very few exclusives. I like the fast load times but I wasn't bothered staying on ps4. I really do miss custom themes on ps4
I think it comes down to preference. For me is I grew up with these consoles. I have the previous ones, so I bought the new ones. The graphics are amazing. The game play is way better. I personally think their worth the prizes. Same way some people bought the switch OLED. You don't need it. But you bought it because it was slightly better.

There is no denying that the best way to enjoy gaming at its best visual fidelity and highest frame rate is on the computer. When the PlayStation five and the Xbox series X were released their performance metrics were very hard to replicate in a PC for the same price let alone with new parts.
With all of that being said, very few new games are getting me as excited to play as my favourite older games from previous consoles. My introduction into gaming was console gaming and that’s what I enjoyed the most personally.
I actually genuinely think the PlayStation five and the Xbox series X are both excellent consoles with excellent features, just not as good of a library of games as I’d hoped.
Hope we aren't saying this about the Switch 2
I agree on the Xbox, I got a Pne S, good enough for the three games on Xbox. Game pass was a waste of money, for me. PlayStation 5 is my console of choice, and even the remakes games are great, for me.

Put it this way, if you own a Gaming PC those 2 consoles are worthless. I had a PS5 for a couple months, played GOW Ragnarok and Ghost of Tsushima, and that was it I was done. Sold the PS5 and went back to my PC. Gamepass on PC means I dont have any use for an Xbox and Sony is not dropping enough AAA exclusives to be relevant to me as a PC Gamer. Now the Switch is a good console choice, just because it has stuff neither console nor the PC has, mainly the first party games and some japanese games that dont come to PC. If you got a PC and a Switch you're sitting pretty.
the switch is a lot easier to make games on bro, there best games on switch and most demanding are the legend of zelda games which are amazing, as a person that owns switch ps5 and series x i can agree with you on only owning 4 games on the series x. The rest is just nonsense though as for the reason why the switch has much more games is because games are much more demanding on ps5/xbox, also as a switch owner that has played every mario game, and every zelda game id much rather play the ps5 exclusive games then any of those turn your brain off games. The point your making is whats the point of the ps5 and series x, and you also talk about miles morales and say how it was payed dlc but you also got to think that although miles morales is 10 hours long so is mario wonder mario odyssey, mario u deluxe, mario vs dk, kirby forgotten land, but you will back them up and pay 60$ for those. Im sorry but a person that has played and beat all these games id rather play miles morales. Now here is the point of the ps5 (tbh cant really say much about the series x) spider man 2, ff16, ff7 rebirth, returnal, ratchet and clank rift apart, demons souls, horizon forbbiden west, stellar blade, rise of the ronin and miles morales and obviously the remakes but i wont really count those, but the way that i see it is thats 9 amazing quality games in 3.5 years of the console being out. That could last you 30-40 hours per game, for me i dont see why say these consoles are a let down, plus u can play ps4 games on ur ps5 not to mention xbox has all the way to original xbox backwards compatibility. My argument is the 9 games on ps5 are personally 10x better then the rest of the games on the switch besides the 2 zelda games. So let me know what yall think bois!

I own a Switch ... It's alright but Nintendo kind of sucks. If you own a 4K television and have 2.1 HDMI .. Xbox Series X is the console to own. I want to play games at 4K 120 hz at least 60 fps to 120 fps. There is definitely a need for this. I still own my PS4 Pro and games are optimized to play smoothly to almost 60 fps on 1080p display 60 hz. To me playing PC entry point is too high. You have to spend at least $1,500 to game at Xbox Series X performance. So $500 is way better. I admit developers are taking too long to make games but don't understand the whole Nintendo bias .. hardware is not that good .. Android tablet with Nintendo firmware. Games made by Nintendo are good but except for some indie developers most of the games do not play well docked or handheld.

Bro, they've been out for 3 years 6 months. They haven't been around for a long time. If you think this generation of consoles hasn't lived up to the hype that's your opinion, and your entitled to it. I guess I'm just just asking myself why you made this video. What's the point? And with both consoles they have a subscription model for playing new games or whatever game you've missed.
Bottom line is that ps5 and the series consoles are a step up from the previous generation, and also play most of the 8th Gen games on their boxes. It's foolish to say there's no reason to pay $500, and I wouldn't for a second consider buying previous slow tech.
If you don't have a ps4, and you are looking to get a sony console, at this point then the ps5 is the way to go. However, if you have already a ps4 regardless of the version, the improvements of getting a ps5 are not worth 500 dlls, specially right now that there are just a few exclusive games to play there. That is the general opinion, since it's reflected on ps5 and FF7 rebirth sales.
Even if all you want to play are PS4 games, going back and playing those games on a $100 used PS4 that roars like a jet engine, takes 3 minutes to load every map or reload any checkpoint (rather than like 6 seconds), and in stuttery 30 FPS with mandatory motion blur; suddenly kicking $400 for the PS5 (PS5 is very easy to find on sale now) to not have to deal with the inconvenience starts to make a lot more sense. It still costs nearly a grand to get a gaming PC up to the same speed and the PS4 was never designed to utilize the better speeds of an SSD, so modding those is never really worth the effort.
I stick with Nintendo gaming is fun on Nintendo ps5 and Xbox is not fun it's all about being serious and being the best to much politics ect it has destroyed the purpose of gaming which is fun
