Every now and then you are surfing you tube listening to some of your favorite performances and you come across a song you never heard, a performance you never seen, and you are absolutely blown away by its awesomeness. This performance by Willie and Steven is incredible.
Yes it is happening more and more to me also and I am blessed pretty much everyday with something new. But I remember watching this whole show on CMT live back in 2003 ..it was Willie's 70th birthday party 🎉 and I was always listening to it on TH-cam or whatever, then they take it off the air.. I can't find it anywhere..Fast forward to this morning, scrolling on TH-cam, for a goof I type in Steven Tyler and Willie Nelson and the Music God's were listening.. This is the best I have ever seen Steven and I've seen Aerosmith 4 times..He is sharp as hell.. and John Mellencamps song " I could not believe it was true.." you are gonna want to catch that one..it smokes!! Every performance was 💯👍 and it is now on TH-cam, the whole show.. Ray Charles, Shania Twain.. but Toby Keith singing about smoking with Willie is a classic.. check it out. It has made my day hearing this again.. Look for Willie and friends 2003 "Alive and still kicking" from Nashville.. Enjoy 🎶🎶✌️
There is something about Willey that brings out the best in every one he plays with. I have this whole concert on dvd and every song on it,no matter who Willey is playing with simply kicks ass.
This is awesome, a rock legend and a country legend. You don't see those types of musicians nowadays. And Steven's voice...amazing, he really enjoy singing.

After he left Mellencamp, he's played drums for just about EVERY act in music: Stevie Wonder, Meatloaf, Jon Bon Jovi, Bob Segar, Celine Dion, Bo Deans, Smashing Pumpkins, David Grohl, Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Joe Walsh, Keith Urban, John Mayer, Jeff Lynne, Pharrell Williams....

I really don't see how that drummer didn't bang a hole in those drums at 3:18. If I were backing up a couple of legends on a rocking song like this, I'm pretty sure I would have beat a hole in them fuckers, kicked over the cymbals, and thrown my sticks in the crowd. I would not have been able to control myself. Willie, you are a bad ass.
