Alright, now here’s my question about mandalorians. The show’s season 3 ending is around 12 ABY, sequel trilogy is 34 and 35 ABY, that means there’s 22-23 years between them. Why did nobody ever go to the mandalorians and say “hey, you remember when the empire fucked y’all up, like badly? Well this is empire 2.0 just under a different name. Want revenge?” There’s a whole new generation of top tier warriors not to mention the older ones they’re still alive. And with mandalorians being mandalorians they wouldn’t be saying no to that offer.
They still didn’t have the numbers or the funds to rise up or they would have. We see in the Mandalorian series that they’ve been forced to live underground and every time their hidden bases are discovered they have to flee quickly or be routed by imperial forces in short order simply by being out numbered and out gunned.
They did eventually start using wrist-mounted weapons when they developed droids that weren’t basically glorified security guards, aka the Supers. As for metal bullets, the ammunition needed to match the firepower they have with their blasters would likely mean bulkier storage and way more weight, and they’d still likely end up running out way too quickly, whereas with blasters, you’d likely just need one big enough tibana gas canister to last the droid’s whole lifetime.
Two Words: ‘money’ and ‘efficiency’. The entire idea with the droid army was to have huge amount of units, Quick and cheap. Sure they could have made some special droids made out of beskar, but beskar was rare and slug throwers have the downside of ammo mass. A single gas cannister could have gas to about 300-500 shots. Imagine carrying around that much ammo. So thats why, and the droids still gave the jedi and the clones quite the fight as they were. (And side note they were not to be TOO effcinet. They were meant to loose. Sidious wanted to thin out the herd, but keep Anakin alive. Imagine designing a droid that the jedi were powerless against, and it by accident running into Ani and killing him. There goes the most powerfull forceuser in the galaxy, all because you did your job too well)
Because the main force they were fighting aren't jedi, the jedi are very few in comparison to the clones they were fighting. Are you going to fit all your troops with expensive anti jedi gear when they probably will never come into contact with a jedi in the first place...
they also used a metal called Beskar that was resistant to the blade of a lightsaber, Jango Fett just didn't wear his neck gaurd, leaving a gap in his armor.
Huh oddly enough the same reason the replicators in Stargate couldnt defend against slug throwing guns. Its really hard to defend against high velocity metal slugs
It's why he was confident in hiring Boba Fett to track a well-known smuggler crew and their Rebel friends in The Empire Strikes Back. Going so far as to command that the Rebels are to be captured alive, NO disintegrations.
Clicked on the video to sleep, 15 minutes later still hanging off of every word this guy says completely invested in the storyline, another certified banger from Ryan
A lot of mandalorians also tend to have equipment that can let loose repulsive blasts, as well as some sort of grappling hook. I've always personally wondered if these specifically were to mimic the pushing and pulling of something using the force
@StarWars_Insider I know this is a couple of weeks old, but just as a correction, Crush wasn't forbidden. It was maybe frowned upon, but both Obi-Wan and Windu have used it during the clone wars. Obi-Wan uses it against droids and Windu uses it against Greivous, even if we do say it is forbidden against organics realistically it could still be used on the Jetpacks or any weapons if not the Mandos themselves.
How handicapped would a Jedi have to be to make that a fair fight? We’ve seen them force crushed the dark troopers, bye armor. We saw Vader capture a blaster shot and hurl it back to the shooter, saw Kylo Ren force freeze Poe Dameron. The Mandalorians would be slaughtered. Change my mind.
Me as a jedi encountering a mandalorian: Ain't no moral code gonna stop me. *Uses the force to crush the mandalorian's arm so they don't have their wrist rockets or flamethrower.*
there were still ways to neutralize slugthrower bullets with lightsabers, but they were more difficult than just simply blocking, and also for those who don't know the reason slugthrowers aren't used all the time in Star Wars despite their usefullness against lightsaber wielders is that they aren't as strong or powerful as blasters against most things Edit: I feel I should clarify, it does still mean that guns that shot bullets were more effective against Jedi though. Also for people that like thinking about like modern day Earth vs Star Wars, our bullets would almost certainly not do the same, as they wouldn't melt into hot metal, they'd just incinerate. Jedi also have the force though, which is just as useful if not more useful against the bullets
The idea that the jedi died to order 66 but not the Mandalorians is *WILD* bro They survived jetpack equipped rocket and flamethrower heavily armored troops who were immune to the reflected blaster bolts of their own guns because of beskar armor. They used hot metal slugs and shotguns... They survived that but they get destroyed by a few clones with regular blaster rifles and shitty plastic armor? Please.
The one thing the clones got going for thrm is they were all clones of Jango Fett who killed serval Jedi ganking up on him with nothing but his hands. And were mass produced/No plot armor for the Jedi. Serval shots from diffrent angles for example are impossible to deflect. Add grenades and alot more teamwork on the order at itsbweakest in terms of fighters? And caught off guard. Absolutely possible. The Jedi who nearly lost to the Mandalorians of old were still real warriors. The order of Yoda was a joke in comparrison and the clones had Anakin with them. Mace dead, Obi wan gone, Yoda busy with Palpatine? Yep.
Also gotta remember only a couple of them sensed the shift in allegiance. And we're entirely caught off guard by the attacks. It was a well planned Coupe de taute one that took a long time to set up.
The clones were clones of one of the best mandalorin fighters and trained from birth to fight. They were more unified than any army of mandalorians could be, and had gained experience throughout the war. Add to that the fact they got to stab the Jedi in the back leaving them unable to retreat and it’s only logical they’d win.
Because the Mandalorians haven't gone to war since the time of the Old Republic. And going to war has, despite their impressive skills, ended pretty badly for them: The Mandalorian Wars: Revan kills their leader, steals his mask and prevents the clans from chosing a new Leader. The Return of the Sith Empire: The Mandalorians join the Empire because they pay well and give them a chance to hunt Jedi. Eventually the Empire is destroyed and the Mandalorians are the losers once again. Sidious was so successful with his Order 66 because the Jedi didn't saw the threat coming.
Jedi can't disarm opponent with the Force: ~dies~ Sith can't disarm opponent with the Force: ~Dis-Arms opponent with the Force~ Wookie: ~ Disarms opponent with force. ~
It is plot armor of course, the unbelievable aspects are numerous but here is one - why would the empire not know about these tactics and use them along with everyone else rendering the jedi nerfed?

And with mandalorians being mandalorians they wouldn’t be saying no to that offer.
Seems like we're going to see another Mandalorian massacre.
They still didn’t have the numbers or the funds to rise up or they would have. We see in the Mandalorian series that they’ve been forced to live underground and every time their hidden bases are discovered they have to flee quickly or be routed by imperial forces in short order simply by being out numbered and out gunned.
sequel trilogy? what sequel trilogy🤔🤨
OMFG!
It's almost like creating new content set within two well established events creates conflict with existing lore.
Hhmm, there's a sequel trilogy. Interesting. 🤔
Does Luke finally become a great Jedi Master in the sequel trilogy?
Imagine if the Jedis and Mandalorians fought together instead against each other
Ezra Bridger + Kanan Jarrus and Sabine Wren from Star Wars Rebels?
@@kylevidetto1115 Good point
bro fr the mandalorians do better in duels and bounties though, not as much in wars
Revan and Canderous Ordo.
Then later on Meetra Surik fought alongside Mandalorians when defending Onderon, Dantooine and Telos IV from the Sith.
It's impossible, the ideologies are too different
“Parry this you filthy wizard!”😂🤣
Every Mandalorian gangsta until someone crushes them in their armor like a can of tuna.
Watch those wrist rockets!!
Why didn’t the droid army use those types of guns ? Almost like they didn’t wanna really kill any jedis
🤔
They did eventually start using wrist-mounted weapons when they developed droids that weren’t basically glorified security guards, aka the Supers. As for metal bullets, the ammunition needed to match the firepower they have with their blasters would likely mean bulkier storage and way more weight, and they’d still likely end up running out way too quickly, whereas with blasters, you’d likely just need one big enough tibana gas canister to last the droid’s whole lifetime.
Have you seen Geonosis Arena massacre? They killed 70% of the Jedi with just droids
“Block this buckshot.” 💀
"Parry this you filthy wizard"
*turns jedi into a tequila with the flamethrower**
Flamethrower: attached to arm
Jedi: *cuts off arm*
"Its over obi wan i have the highground "
Pretty sure Jedi could theoretically be able to use the force to defend themselves from fire and wrist rockets, to some extent.
Only extremely talented knights and Masters
Nah they could. Funny thing is tutaminis was taught to every single youngling in the temple just that blocking a lightsaber with it was a rarity
Some who were powerful enough were able to deflect the flames of a flamethrower around them.
The Jedi won that war
"oh, you can block blaster bolts? Ok, have fun with this buckshot."
"Oh so your saber deflects blaster bolts? Try buckshot." - Mandalorian
Huh oddly enough the same reason the replicators in Stargate couldnt defend against slug throwing guns. Its really hard to defend against high velocity metal slugs
Pretty much 👌
Mandalorian uses Conservation of Momentum! It's super effective!
I can already imagine a mandalorian strolling in an American Walmart purchasing an 8 gauge
Replicators figured it out though.
Seems like the Jedi need to.....
Watch those wrist rockets
Vader be taking notes fr fr
And ofc they had beskar which can block lightsaber attacks
Yup 👍
What about force crush? Or do jedy only throw things around?
Pretty sure they aren’t allowed in use the force pop living beings
Force crush was forbidden by the Jedi
@StarWars_Insider I know this is a couple of weeks old, but just as a correction, Crush wasn't forbidden. It was maybe frowned upon, but both Obi-Wan and Windu have used it during the clone wars. Obi-Wan uses it against droids and Windu uses it against Greivous, even if we do say it is forbidden against organics realistically it could still be used on the Jetpacks or any weapons if not the Mandos themselves.
This is why Mandalorians vs. Predators would be so good. Adaptable hunters vs. adaptable hunters.
Jedi: " give it up, Mandalorian "
Mandalorian: " say hello to my lil friend "
PORTABLE HIGH GROUND!
🔥
Me as a jedi encountering a mandalorian: Ain't no moral code gonna stop me. *Uses the force to crush the mandalorian's arm so they don't have their wrist rockets or flamethrower.*
So a Grey Jedi then?
@@damianwolfe613 basically
Revan: hold my beer
This is what happened to Durge, who took cues from Mandalorians due to his hatred of them
there were still ways to neutralize slugthrower bullets with lightsabers, but they were more difficult than just simply blocking, and also for those who don't know the reason slugthrowers aren't used all the time in Star Wars despite their usefullness against lightsaber wielders is that they aren't as strong or powerful as blasters against most things
Edit: I feel I should clarify, it does still mean that guns that shot bullets were more effective against Jedi though. Also for people that like thinking about like modern day Earth vs Star Wars, our bullets would almost certainly not do the same, as they wouldn't melt into hot metal, they'd just incinerate. Jedi also have the force though, which is just as useful if not more useful against the bullets
Good video. I honestly somehow miss them using real metal bullet vs blasters. I like that
“You can deflect lasers? Aight bud chew on this buckshot”
The idea that the jedi died to order 66 but not the Mandalorians is *WILD* bro
They survived jetpack equipped rocket and flamethrower heavily armored troops who were immune to the reflected blaster bolts of their own guns because of beskar armor.
It's one thing to go out on the battlefield with someone, it's another to get shot in the back by your friend
Because the Mandalorians haven't gone to war since the time of the Old Republic.
And going to war has, despite their impressive skills, ended pretty badly for them:
The Mandalorian Wars: Revan kills their leader, steals his mask and prevents the clans from chosing a new Leader.
The use of metal bullets was a new one I never knew about.
Mandalorians : " Parry these bullets then"
"Parry this, you filthy wizard!"
Jedi: deflects blaster
Mandalorians: "All the other Jedi with the pumped up kicks-"
"oh you brought a lightsaber?" *Laughs in space cowboy* "parry this buckshot"
"You can block lasers? Okay have fun with this buckshot."
Jedi can't disarm opponent with the Force: ~dies~
Sith can't disarm opponent with the Force: ~Dis-Arms opponent with the Force~
Wookie: ~ Disarms opponent with force. ~
Jedi: Rips all the armor off the Mandalorians body. "Your plot armor is showing"
I love how this was always reflected so it doesn’t seem like a retcon😂
Not to mention, Mandalorians also had Armor made of Beskar, which was the Star Wars equivalent to Vibranium in Marvel.
"Jedi can block lazers? Okay, have fun with this buckshot."
...and, of course, doesn't hurt to be fully hurt in saber-resistant beskar.
"Oh, you can block lasers? Parry my 12 gauge, you filthy wizard!"
Parry this, you filthy wizard!!
"PARRY THIS YOU FILTY CASUAL" -a Madalorian probably
"Oh you can deflect lasers? Try this buckshot."
"Parry this you filthy wizard"
"you can block lasers? have fun with this buckshot then"
It is plot armor of course, the unbelievable aspects are numerous but here is one - why would the empire not know about these tactics and use them along with everyone else rendering the jedi nerfed?
"Parry THIS you filthy space wizard!"
Hittem with the high ground, the deagle, and the buckshot too😂
"Jedis can block lasers? Well, have fun with this buckshot!"
Jedi: we can deflect laser shots!
Mandalorians: how about buckshot?
Well I mean that's why Order 66 worked so well, they're Clones of a Mandalorian.
