I know as a new turner, I will refer to this video time and again. Of all the videos I have watched, trying to learn, this was the most informative. Thank you so much!

These four videos are very informative and I will refer to them as I continue to hone my turning skills. Thanks to everyone that was involved in the making of these four videos and especially thanks to Mark Silay.

I just went to a working lesson at my S.W. Fl woodturners club. He's in a process of turning lessons down the west coast and up the East coast of Florida. He really renewed the joy of woodturning in me. Pay special attention to how he grinds back the bevel on the spindle tools for incredible detail cuts.

I hope someone is still watching the comments on this? I have no clue on making that taper thing to clean out the Stock end. Can you explain? You can pm me if you like.

@@michaell7877 He does not show it in the video but I have seen people make a jig with the dimensions on a M2. They use a piece of small 1" material maybe 5" X 5" as a base then lay a MT2 on the board. Take board around 3/4" X 3/4" and around 4" long and nail it next to the MT2. Take another board and place it on the other side. This is used so you can turn a piece of stock on your lathe and us the fixture to see if you get the correct angle for a wooden MT2. I hope that helps you to picture what he was talking about.
