I'm in the middle of my 70s. I'll possibly die in this decade. I'm standing at the edge of the world now, facing the day to come. This song makes me think so many things. I wish young people you guys live like what this song is telling.
This band has killer talent all the live long day, but what I really afore about them is the positive attitudes and lyrics. It's refreshing and they have pulled me through some black times. This song, Holy War, The Crusade, Rising, When Destinies Align, Don't Bite The Dust... They are fight songs and if you have trouble lifting yourself up, they grab you by the back of the neck and get you going again. SO glad I found these ladies!!!
This is why these types of songs are called prog-rock songs so many layers and not really know which way the song is leading to but phenomenal and epic, this is one reason why I loved Rush so much as well as Pink Floyd. This style of rock is unheard of nowadays and no other band has done it since the '70s and '80s. Hope you enjoyed it bro I left you another message on your patreon with a another link to more Lovebites
Glory Glory to LOVEBITES and all the members of The Wolf Pack everywhere, we are one under their command and shall rule the ruins in their honor!!! Best metal band to emerge in 30 years.
The layers to the song are awesome but it is the transitions between those layers that really set this band apart. The relentless pursuit of perfection in everything that they do is clearly the guiding principal for this group of insanely talented women. Haruna/drums makes the Energizer Bunny look like a limp wimp as she drives this band along with Miho/bass (founder) despite their lack of shine time compared to Asami/vocals or the M & M show!!This band is single minded in that the song has to be FLAWLESS no matter if it is LIVE, Studio or a MV. These women truly don't know how to be anything else but be awesome.
LOVEBITES - Edge Of The World lyrics: Why do we learn to hate, deceive and lie, hurt each other? Why does it never end? The sorrow keeps on repeating Wailing, come downpours of the rain Will it end? No one ever knows Wondering, what only time can tell What is at the end of life? Why do we only see our own desires? Greed is endless Why is there authority when there is no justice in their rulings Struggling like feeble, helpless fools Will it end? No one ever knows Wandering, not knowing where to go Carrying the breath of life Standing at… The Edge of the World As long as you're still alive, remember - don't fear standing up, don't ever give it up Until the day you meet your end, it's not over - let your soul shine inside of your heart As long as you're still alive, remember - keep your dignity, stay true to who you are Until the day you meet your end, it's not over - let your heart love and always be loved How you live will always live on As your way of life, forever How you live will always live on As your way of life, forever How you live will always live on As your way of life, forever ----- lyrics: asami music: Mao arrangement: LOVEBITES

The sad thing is that Lovebites only has 39,000 subscribers. How can that be? One of the best speed metal bands. Women who blow dry their hair get more attention. I don't get it.
@@lizziev4510 Yes, it is already clear. My original question was why do so many people look at such trivialities and liked it and when musicians come who really can do something and have made a lot of effort they are left behind.
Very enjoyable reaction to LOVEBITES, thank you. This song/lyrics ought to be essential listening for humanity, imo. This is the second to last song of the 3 song encore of this show and drummer/founder Haruna has been consistently driving those dbl-kicks throughout the 1 hour and 45 minutes, not hindered by her obvious cuteness or 4'9" frame. A relentless drummer extraordinaire providing the perfect role (and rolls) with precision, locked with bassist/founder/leader Miho's bass. Guitarists are Midori, blond on left, and Miyako on right, pianist also. Vocalist Asami has a Rhythm&Blues vocalist background as well as ballet and jazz dance, with 2 years in USA after highschool, her English abilities were significant in being chosen, now contributing music also, including thrash(!) even though LOVEBITES is her first Metal experience! Haruna's song "Bravehearted" was uploaded this morning: th-cam.com/video/tR1Dzuk6U6U/w-d-xo.html Highly recommended. Now subscribed for more LOVEBITES! Thanks Lee.
I love these ladies and this is such a beautiful song! I love the message this band brings to this world, not just in this song but others as well. Love Haruna, drummer, she is my favorite drummer. Any song you react to by them is awesome. Thank you for reacting to this video! As if you do not have enough to react to with Lovebites, I have to recommend a newer band called Nemophila! Original songs like Raitei or Oiran or Dissinsion to start. They will not disappoint!
Great reaction, thanks for sharing! You should react to the twenty one pilots video trilogy that follows on from Heavydirtysoul: Jumpsuit->Nico and the Niners-> Levitate (read the comments on your Heavydirtysoul reaction for context prior to watching)
Question of the day: Click track sync'd backing track or crew member/musician behind the screen playing with them live once they kick it in (ala Iron Maiden-bass tech plays keys when needed)? Wow I hope for the latter as I really don't like playing to tracks live. The way they are all "frozen in one spot" tells me they are concentrating on click track sync. But having said that, this is an epic ballad that just exploded like a nuclear weapon and it was AWESOME. Excellent breakdown and reaction as always Lee, keep em coming!!
The backing tracks are composed by the same members, For example Miyako(pianist/guitarist) records pianos and synths for the tracks. Not 100% sure who runs the track live, but they are usually controlled by drummer. I am pretty sure that Haruna(in drums) is controlling the track. PS. Most bigger bands nowadays play background tracks live. We are not in the 70's anymore. Most bands even layer the vocals LIVE.
@@markoviitanen2671 true on the times, touche! Rush used TONS of samples but never a click track. All band triggered by foot pedals. I guess I am just "old school" where I enjoy the raw talent like a piece of quartz found in the desert without taking it to the shop and polishing it into something that looks totally different. Just a personal taste thing. It is certainly not a knock on the band, so if anyone takes what I said that way, please don't. I love em and they have a talent level that's off the charts.
@@sams2960 Surely you can understand that the guitarist Miyako cant play the guitar and the piano at the same time (although she does in one song) so obviously whenever you hear piano/synths and she's on the guitar then it is a track, and yes tracks are controlled by Haruna (the drummer).
@@JFrancoDrums Yes I DO understand actually. That was not the point I was making. I just personally prefer bands to perform "live" versions without help. If I wanted to listen to the album I'd stay home. For me a live show interpretation of a studio song is what differentiates between the really really great bands who could do a highly produced song with nothing more than an acoustic guitar and bands who rely on technology to reproduce a more studio sound in their live show. I am NOT knocking the band for doing it, I understand these are the times we live in. Anyone who has been to a live concert and has experienced one of those nights where spontaneous things happen during a song are treated to something special, and those spontaneous things cannot happen when the band is glued to the floor concentrating on staying on time with a click track. That's all I'm saying, it is a personal preference. My main question was simply if they were tracking or using side musicians and this got way off track.... My apologies to all who are weary of this ;)
@@sams2960 I think Lovebites has found a quite nice balance between stripping down some songs to raw live versions without backing tracks and keeping the epicness of others. This song would not be the same without the layered keyboards. I guess if they could afford it, they would have a whole orchestra with them to play, but every additional musician costs money and time to train. They are are still a young band with just 4 years of history and there is a limit to what a label is willing to pay in advance for a concert. This was the first live DVD they even had a piano on stage, before that it was just a keyboard. But they are so creative and determined, I believe they will work on perfecting the concert experience with every chance they get.
