I'm happy that the Story or should I say Shaoji make it go to this way instead of making us choose his Fate(it's a illusion of choice anyway). For me, his character development is not enough to gain the trust from the Astral Express crew in anytime soon, so it's better if they keep going this way. I'm not quite buy this redemption arc but it's kinda okay for now and I noticed that those camera ankle in this quest seem pretty odd like a rough work also EN VA for some character is missing, what a shame.
You know it would be interesting to say the least if any future characters in HSR decides to join the nameless permanently then that would be awesome👍👏
yeah thats what ive been thinking after the 2.7 program and the story just confirm it, , it seems he will play important role in the next world or something and after that i wont be surprised if he leaves or even early than that. i hope those who likes him will take that in a good way and not be dissapointed or sad, he never gave the vibes of being permanent, he says it himself, he is not fit to be, but he want to find his new path in life and i support that no matter how neutral i am about him this whole time
i understand he wouldn't want to become part of the crew indefinitely, but i hope he sticks around long enough we can see some authentic character development. or long enough that they become actual friends. not just that he would hop off the train after a couple batches without engaging and bonding in the adventures

What I could tell from the dialogues, he was still unsure about becoming a nameless, so he instead say that he'll be there temporarily in their journey... i'm guessing it's going to take him a few journey to finally realize his own goal and learn the meaning of Trailblazing that'll eventually lead to him becoming a Nameless as well
I always think path meaning is different for each pathstrider. He may think he isn't suitable to be a Trailblazer now, but he doing this journey to find paradise means he in already on the path of Trailblazer. Just like Welt's path is more about the people.

Also from what sparkle said back in 2.0 I think, Belabog has an looming disaster on the horizon maybe that would come after 3.3 maybe.

If anime has taught me anything, it's that the villain who once tried to murk you can become your ride-or-die bestie through the power of Friendship. I've never been an apologist of his, but I do think Sunday's heart was clearly in the right place, he just went about it the wrong way. He genuinely seems to be trying to make amends and find a better way. He told us to sever his path with our hands, and we did, so now he looks like he's attempting to find the "right" path. The REAL sus ones here imo are the IPC...I have a feeling when Jade comes calling, that's when things will get real.
i hope everyone who listen and read those lines and conversations, understand it corretly. i know there is tons of lore skppers so dont u dare be dissapointed once he leave bc you didnt pay attention lol to be honest i choose some rejection options and some supportive but more on the neutral side bc thats how i feel about him, i dont hate him (but wasnt very fond of him joining at 1st) now knowing is temporary i understand him better and im ready to support his choices bc thats what he want to find and trailblazing is all about it !! enjoy his company while you can trailblazers no matter you like him or not.
I'd still be disappointed when that happens cz I want him to become permanent as I really feel for him as a person who really wanted good for every human so sensitively. So I'd still be sad when he leaves. It would have been a nice turn of arc for the Express crew from hoyo's part tho if the express permanently took in members, and it would have been nice if Sunday was the one to set that trend too.
I have met a lot of villains,even their motives or goals spoke a lot of their hideous personality but Sunday is not that type in my book.He just wanted to shape his homeland a better place but what he lacked is embracing the uncertainties which he was doing in the main story...everyone deserved a second chance to redeem themselves but they'll have to earn it first
"The road to hell is paved with good intentions" sums up Sunday's character so well...He is not really evil, he truly believe order was the answer for the paradise he seeks
As someone who really likes Sunday, I was really hoping he would become a permanent member of the Astral Express. But after finishing this quest, I understand his hesitation about not joining the Nameless and choosing to stay as a temporary passenger instead. And I understand why some ppl doesn't like or want him to join the Astral, after all, what he do to us in penacony are wrong Even though Sunday is my favorite character, if one day he decides to leave the Express, I’d accept it. His journey on the Astral Express has just begun; there’s still so much we don’t know. That’s why I’m really excited to see the story unfold on the next planet.🎉 Also, after finishing the quest, you can found sunday in party car, at the top right corner, there you can ask him many things, and I remember he do say he will join us on the new planet :0

Considering Sunday's character development and his kit i can safely say that he will surely be a part of our next world and help us with the power of harmony

I roasted the shit out of Sunday in the dialogue but I ended it with finally not the noobie after looking I was leading to vote him off the train. It felt like Caelus/Stelle gremlin thing to do but I’m really curious how he’ll feature in the later adventures
From a story perspective I really like the idea of the trailblazer being extremely wary of Sunday and of his motives after he kinda… tried to kill them? So rejecting him and then the trailblazer exclusively calling him ‘Sunny’ despite him hating that nickname is something I’m glad I had the option to do lol.
If anyone has watched MLP, he kinda reminds me of Starlight glimmer. After seeing how sunburst got his cutie mark and moved away from her, she wanted to create a society that was fully equal; no one is inferior to others and no one is more powerful. After Twilight explained to her how cutie marks embrace the unicity of every pony, and how without them it leads to world destruction, she finally understood her wrongs. This is why I can forgive Sunday for everything. Legitimately he extracted freedom from people while trying to achieve it, and once he realised that a paradise is achieved through growth, he finally let go of the order after seeing how it harmed the people of Penacony :)

When Sunday called Welt as 'Mr. Yang' around the multiple Tingyun clones part I already accepted him as a part of the Astral Express. Plus his questions to Welt about trailblazing and all of that.. I think he does want to join and be a Nameless, but just reluctant because after all the Express Crew and Sunday were standing on opposing sides before he became a fugitive. PLUS HE HAS LINES WITH THE ASTRAL EXPRESS MEMBERS WHEN JOINING THE PARTY. Ig, rn it's unofficial, but yeah I wanna see him have an astral express ticket/stub pinned to his clothes.. plus I think he'll fit right in with the trio. Sunday had good intentions with very wrong execution plus a bad role model. He wanted people to not suffer after watching/hearing people's suffering. I almost thought he wanted to carry that suffering instead. As far as I know about Otto, that guy wanted to destroy everything just to accomplish his goal, humanity be damned and all that. I was glad I got the chance to call him a bit of a control freak (not gonna judge him as I get his point and worry) but still managed to tell him he can come and has a good intent despite the bad methods he used. My fear eas that the dialogues would either be 100% favorable or 100% unfavorable to him, so being able to balance things was nice

Dan hang said he wouldn't stay on the express for too long and he will departure but he didn't leave because of the new Bonds he made with the express I hope Sunday Decides in the end To stay with the express because he felt Things he never felt before and felt like family with the express like dan hang Both are sinners but redeemed in the end and stayed at express Dan hang situation was like Sunday anyways
I just hope that Sunday staying will be for the long run. I'm pretty sure that after all attachments we will get with him would make us sad when he departs the express.

Idk lol, people could like Maruki after playing p5 royal, and rightfully so. So Sunday can be liked as well despite his actions going a few steps too far than necessary, as there's no doubts about his intentions having always been good, him being highly sensitive to the troubles of people, can't be called a deranged psychopath anymore now at least now that he's trying to change after realizing by himself. Not many are this open to change their life long perspective, and he did it.

@ From that perspective yes what he did was wrong, however it’s been stated clearly that he didn’t have any bad intentions. What he did was to try and make everyone happy by living in a dream. His intentions were pure but his approach was bad, I can’t blame him since he was raised into it by the dream master. In this patch, he redeems himself of his past and took Mc’s advice to heart. During the battle against Sunday, he says that if their path will save more lives then his, “severe me with your own hands”. He is a good person who took the wrong approach. Also I wouldn’t trust Harmony if I were you.

I made sure my Stelle reprimended him for all the errors hes done but aside from that I really like to have him on board and the way we get to see more of his character development, after all he was the main antagonist of the best story patch so far. He's so relatable cause everyone makes mistakes and yet his intentions were always noble
I dont dislike Sunday (unlike his crazy ass fanbase), he just felt a bit bland to me. I allowed him to stay, cause want to see his development. But if they added him to the Express just for fangirls - that's just boring
They've always teased that there will be new astral express members that will be joining temporarily or permanently. In this case, Sunday is their first testing the waters guy to see how this rolls out. The only other character who almost got to the express is Serval but the rest of the characters seemed like they already are where they belong / going to a specific mission, whilst Sunday is just a lost bird with no direction so it would make sense that he would either join express or other factions
I think the fangirl bit here is a bit unfair. Firefly was given LOADS of screentime because of her fanboys, yet there wasn't much complaining. You've got to have a balance, and he is a very complex character with a lot of references to the church. You can dislike, but complaining about fangirls is unfair when talking about hoyo games

in my opinion, even if we reject, while being at the next world, main character will accept Sunday's presence(probably because of the events) and Sunday will continue to be one of the crew. But ofc, there's possibility that he will be in the crew temporarily.

I kinda have the same views about wanting to keep things in order (maybe cause im a perfectionist). My intentions are well but they are easily misunderstood. I understand his POV but i welcomed him into the Express cause i hoped joining the Express team will make him loosen up a bit and see how even a curved road can also end at the same finishing line with the straight road's. Personally, I don't like Sunday at all. I don't agree with any part of his stupid philosophy. I think his control freak behavior is abhorrent, and don't want him on the express at all. As someone who really likes Sunday, I was really hoping he would become a permanent member of the Astral Express.
But after finishing this quest, I understand his hesitation about not joining the Nameless and choosing to stay as a temporary passenger instead.
And I understand why some ppl doesn't like or want him to join the Astral, after all, what he do to us in penacony are wrong
Even though Sunday is my favorite character, if one day he decides to leave the Express, I’d accept it. His journey on the Astral Express has just begun; there’s still so much we don’t know. That’s why I’m really excited to see the story unfold on the next planet.🎉
Also, after finishing the quest, you can found sunday in party car, at the top right corner, there you can ask him many things, and I remember he do say he will join us on the new planet :0

There probably will. If you talk to him after the quest he says he'll disembark at Amphoreus with you and that he'll help out there.

From a story perspective I really like the idea of the trailblazer being extremely wary of Sunday and of his motives after he kinda… tried to kill them? So rejecting him and then the trailblazer exclusively calling him ‘Sunny’ despite him hating that nickname is something I’m glad I had the option to do lol.

If anyone has watched MLP, he kinda reminds me of Starlight glimmer. After seeing how sunburst got his cutie mark and moved away from her, she wanted to create a society that was fully equal; no one is inferior to others and no one is more powerful. After Twilight explained to her how cutie marks embrace the unicity of every pony, and how without them it leads to world destruction, she finally understood her wrongs. This is why I can forgive Sunday for everything. Legitimately he extracted freedom from people while trying to achieve it, and once he realised that a paradise is achieved through growth, he finally let go of the order after seeing how it harmed the people of Penacony :)

When Sunday called Welt as 'Mr. Yang' around the multiple Tingyun clones part I already accepted him as a part of the Astral Express. Plus his questions to Welt about trailblazing and all of that.. I think he does want to join and be a Nameless, but just reluctant because after all the Express Crew and Sunday were standing on opposing sides before he became a fugitive. PLUS HE HAS LINES WITH THE ASTRAL EXPRESS MEMBERS WHEN JOINING THE PARTY. Ig, rn it's unofficial, but yeah I wanna see him have an astral express ticket/stub pinned to his clothes.. plus I think he'll fit right in with the trio. Dan Heng wont be the only one holding their one braincell together.
Edit: After reading the rest of the comments, Sunday has the Otto treatment? What? Are people not understanding the story? Sunday had good intentions with very wrong execution plus a bad role model. He wanted people to not suffer after watching/hearing people's suffering. I almost thought he wanted to carry that suffering instead. As far as I know about Otto, that guy wanted to destroy everything just to accomplish his goal, humanity be damned and all that. He didn't care about anything else but his desires. Plus, Welt.. is from HI3, he kept an eye on Sunday and he brought Sunday along with him to the express. Idk why people bother to play games with a storyline if you're just going to skip the dialogue and not even understand the characters and their story?

but anyway, i dont think sunday was trying to kill us right? he was infact inviting our ideals to clash with his. he believes so deeply in the sacrifice he'll make to create the paradise he believes would help everyone- buuut deep down he also wants to do what's best for everyone. he had control over the dream and could've trapped us immediately but instead he allowed the crew to prove him wrong in this way . he wasn't trying to kill us i think ..

I was glad I got the chance to call him a bit of a control freak (not gonna judge him as I get his point and worry) but still managed to tell him he can come and has a good intent despite the bad methods he used. My fear eas that the dialogues would either be 100% favorable or 100% unfavorable to him, so being able to balance things was nice

Idk lol, people could like Maruki after playing p5 royal, and rightfully so. So Sunday can be liked as well despite his actions going a few steps too far than necessary, as there's no doubts about his intentions having always been good, him being highly sensitive to the troubles of people, can't be called a deranged psychopath anymore now at least now that he's trying to change after realizing by himself. Not many are this open to change their life long perspective, and he did it.

Man cared about everyone more than himself, wanting nobody to suffer. "The road to hell is paved with good intentions", just because you have a strong heart filled with kindness for all, does not mean you won't get consequences for your acts of good will. @ From that perspective yes what he did was wrong, however it’s been stated clearly that he didn’t have any bad intentions. What he did was to try and make everyone happy by living in a dream. His intentions were pure but his approach was bad, I can’t blame him since he was raised into it by the dream master. In this patch, he redeems himself of his past and took Mc’s advice to heart. During the battle against Sunday, he says that if their path will save more lives then his, “severe me with your own hands”. He is a good person who took the wrong approach. Also I wouldn’t trust Harmony if I were you.
@@rosavine23 Not that I trust Harmony (or any Aeon for that matter), it's just that Sunday resurrecting Ena can negatively affect other worlds that do place thier faith in Harmony.
As for Sunday I can understand his intentions and reasons why he became the person he is, but that doesn't justify or excuse his actions. For now, I'm just going to wait and see how Sunday's redemption Arc is handled.

I made sure my Stelle reprimended him for all the errors hes done but aside from that I really like to have him on board and the way we get to see more of his character development, after all he was the main antagonist of the best story patch so far. He's so relatable cause everyone makes mistakes and yet his intentions were always noble

They've always teased that there will be new astral express members that will be joining temporarily or permanently. In this case, Sunday is their first testing the waters guy to see how this rolls out. The only other character who almost got to the express is Serval but the rest of the characters seemed like they already are where they belong / going to a specific mission, whilst Sunday is just a lost bird with no direction so it would make sense that he would either join express or other factions
Agreed, I find him bland and boring too, but I chose for him to stay, because I'm too trusting of others
I think the fangirl bit here is a bit unfair. Firefly was given LOADS of screentime because of her fanboys, yet there wasn't much complaining. You've got to have a balance, and he is a very complex character with a lot of references to the church. You can dislike, but complaining about fangirls is unfair when talking about hoyo games

in my opinion, even if we reject, while being at the next world, main character will accept Sunday's presence(probably because of the events) and Sunday will continue to be one of the crew. But ofc, there's possibility that he will be in the crew temporarily.

I kinda have the same views about wanting to keep things in order (maybe cause im a perfectionist). My intentions are well but they are easily misunderstood.
I understand his POV but i welcomed him into the Express cause i hoped joining the Express team will make him loosen up a bit and see how even a curved road can also end at the same finishing line with the straight road's. This is also a reminder to myself as well 😅

Personally, I don't like Sunday at all. I don't agree with any part of his stupid philosophy. I think his control freak behavior is abhorrent, and don't want him on the express at all.

Sunday robbed us of Firefly joining the Astral Express crew and I sincerely hold that against him AND the dev team. My heart strings were PULLED APART when I came to know FF isn't joining us. This is intentionally one-sided.
