In short, no matter what you choose, he will be temporarily travelling with the crew, not become a permanent member/Nameless. As expected, we already have 5 main characters after all.
I'm happy that the Story or should I say Shaoji make it go to this way instead of making us choose his Fate(it's a illusion of choice anyway). For me, his character development is not enough to gain the trust from the Astral Express crew in anytime soon, so it's better if they keep going this way. After Twilight explained to her how cutie marks embrace the unicity of every pony, and how without them it leads to world destruction, she finally understood her wrongs. This is why I can forgive Sunday for everything. Legitimately he extracted freedom from people while trying to achieve it, and once he realised that a paradise is achieved through growth, he finally let go of the order after seeing how it harmed the people of Penacony :)
I detest how he treated his sister back in penacony despite saying how precious she is for him, all for an ideology which had been implanted in his head by Gopher Wood. though I'm always open for a development. as for whether he will join the crew, Jade said strategic investment department would be the last refuge should he lost his way out there. so maybe he could become one of the stone heart if there's a seat vacancy. besides, the free spirit of trailblaze doesn't get along with order
Personally, I don't like Sunday at all. I don't agree with any part of his stupid philosophy. I think his control freak behavior is abhorrent, and don't want him on the express at all. But it's not really my choice to go around acting like an expert on the trailblaze. So I just said I'd be keeping an eye on him. He's not my friend and never will be unless he completely changes.
I didn't forgive Sunday then and I still don't forgive him now. Sunday joining the Astral Express is the equivalent of saying everything Otto Apocalypse did was right and justified. That bastard belongs in a cell where he won't see the light of day ever again.

@@rosavine23 I hate Sunday because he forced an entire planet to be trapped in a dreamlike state and tried to resurrect an Aeon that have major repercussions towards Harmony itself. Even as Sunday "died", he didn't even acknowledge that his actions are wrong.
@ From that perspective yes what he did was wrong, however it’s been stated clearly that he didn’t have any bad intentions. What he did was to try and make everyone happy by living in a dream. His intentions were pure but his approach was bad, I can’t blame him since he was raised into it by the dream master. In this patch, he redeems himself of his past and took Mc’s advice to heart. During the battle against Sunday, he says that if their path will save more lives then his, “severe me with your own hands”. He is a good person who took the wrong approach. Also I wouldn’t trust Harmony if I were you.
@@rosavine23 Not that I trust Harmony (or any Aeon for that matter), it's just that Sunday resurrecting Ena can negatively affect other worlds that do place thier faith in Harmony. As for Sunday I can understand his intentions and reasons why he became the person he is, but that doesn't justify or excuse his actions. For now, I'm just going to wait and see how Sunday's redemption Arc is handled.
This guy kidnapped an entire planet, tortured and poisoned Aventurine for no reason, freed Aventurine knowing that he was going to try a terroristic attack, lied for years about which Aeon was praying, tried to resurrect Order don't knowing which effect could cause to Harmony, and no reason was able to make him think that he was wrong and indeed he was stopped with force and not because he realized he was wrong. Now, there are some people that are trying to resurrect dead Aeons (Trailblazers, Argenti, Ruan Mei, etc...), but NO ONE of them ever lied on their intentions. This guy is just a villain and a liar. I would had sent him to Boothill or Rappa. Or in the Loufu prisons.
Kidnapped is not the word but he did put them in an eternal dream, thinking it was better than letting them suffer in real life (which obviously is wrong sunce not everyone is into escapism). As for Aventurine's, he himself anticipated that response since he planned it with Ratio. Sunday did the same thing with Robin and Welt and they're still alive, so they're not poisoned, just influenced by the power of the Order.
You got the right spirit but the wrong facts in fact none of the factions you listed as trying to revive an Aeon including Sunday were trying to do that (the other beauty faction the mirror holders who believe Idrillia is shattered into mirror shards are the ones trying to revive her). Sunday it has become clear in retrospect never wanted to revive the order but rather steal its power and be the one to personally pull the strings of order rather than let Ena do it. You can call that a retcon. I call it the fact that the vast, vast majority of characters in the penacony arc were scheming liars. Mass mind control, torture, attempted murder, and attempting insurrection are all things Sunday is guilty of though. At least he has the decency to admit that he totally did those things even if he isn’t particularly apologetic.
Bro did you get all your information from summary videos and never played the game? because from reading your message it seems like you only watched videos and never played the entire penacony quest.
This guy dont even deserve a redemption. Him dying after his boss fight should be the real ending for him, but i guess hoyo need to sell his character. @KallanEl he was influenced by wood and?? He still did what he did, hell he even betrayed robin with all this. Cocolia was also influenced, by a stelaron, and she did what she did and she paid the price. Yall slandered jade, the most neutral character, for nothing, but yall praise this chicken wings boy after his disgusting show
@@josetomasrivera5782 He was manipulated and groomed by Gopher Wood. His ideals are for the betterment of others, not himself. He wants to make a paradise for all, but Gopher Wood forced him to go about it the wrong way. He even sacrificed himself for Robin, as she was supposed to be the chordmaster, but Sunday took her place, and Gopher Wood knew he would do that. Sunday has ALWAYS cared for others, but was manipulated to go about it in the wrong way. "The paradise was never meant to look like this." - Sunday, in his Myriad Celestia. This is also a really amazing representation of abuse victims as well, as Sunday explicitly states he wanted to sever himself from his halo to feel pain. He wants to feel pain to feel alive, as Jiaoqiu does. He never had ill intent, and that was not his fault. He was coerced to go about it in the wrong way, and was taught that it was the ONLY way.
Seriously what did he do that he deserves the same hate treatment that Otto has? I’m genuinely curious 🧐
@@rosavine23I hate Sunday because he forced everyone on the planet to be trapped in a dream-like state and tried to resurrect an Aeon that can cause severe repercussions towards Harmony itself, Sunday didn't even acknowledge that what he did was wrong even as he "died".
Ok cool bro😂
@Milliondollarcup I didn't play 2.7 yet
I don't like Sunday so i don't give him a warm welcome xD
I like Sunday because I like his sister
@aetherherrscherofnasigoren1417 Yup same, Robin is the only thing i like about Sunday, other than that Im not interested in him.
@Dissapointed_Aether My interest towards him? Other than his sister, I want to know if he'll be a funny person after he joins us😂
@@aetherherrscherofnasigoren1417 No way, bro is cold but not cruel 🥶
@@Dissapointed_Aether bayangin Sunday jadi koplak semenjak gabung ma Trailblazer dan March sampe Danang pasrah 😂
This guy dont even deserve a redemption. Him dying after his boss fight should be the real ending for him, but i guess hoyo need to sell his character. Just like cocolia, she had the perfect ending for her and that little screen time in the end with bronya and her was super touching. All this sunday stuff its to convenient
say you didn't understand the lore without saying you didn't understand the lore
@KallanEl he was influenced by wood and?? He still did what he did, hell he even betrayed robin with all this.
Cocolia was also influenced, by a stelaron, and she did what she did and she paid the price. Him alive is to convinient to sell him, at least he should be rotting in a intergalactic jail or something.
However, now, he is learning it is not the way, and wants to better himself.
@@josetomasrivera5782 Who's ya'll?? A good chunk (if not, most) Sunday enjoyers are fine with morally gray characters and therefore don't have a hate boner for Jade like the rest of the fandom does. If every character was a goody-two-shoes like Robin and had no moral ambiguity, I wouldn't even bother playing this game (can you tell I'm a Wanderer main? lol).
Furthermore, if we can have playable Blade, Firefly and Kafka who are CANONICALLY MASS MURDERERS, then why shouldn't Sunday be playable/redeemable? At least he never killed anyone to try to achieve his goals.
@@nailahsaquee6719 when i say yall i mean a lot, dont take it in a explicit way.
and yes, i agree 100% with only good characters in games are boring. and you named the stelaron hunters, you know why there is no problem with them? because even after what they did, they dont give a F...., they belive in their beliefs and goals, they stay in their characters and i dont expect less from them, thats why they are cool. but in other hand, this chicken wings is like looking for pity or something, bro just look at this 0:28 its so lame. such a show he did just to act like a weak guy in the end. if they are going to give us grey characters like you said, let them stay grey, because all this pity stuff is cringe. but oh well, at least thats my personal opinion, if you agree or not its fine
mmm, in the new story we have two characters who decided to abandon their past life and go traveling, on the one hand, we have a very sweet and affectionate character, with whom we have a huge history and share many emotions, or other one, a fool whom we beat because he wanted to do 7 days of Sundays in a week, sure, very hard choice? Thanks, hoyo, that's the one I'd choose, of course. If the decision to accept him on the train is not mentioned at all in the future, and everyone forgets about that I dont agree, weeeel, that will be fun
Yes, the whole penacony story and Sunday's character only revolves solely around making every day a Sunday, of course.
I get you're upset, but this is the biggest L take I've ever seen, dear lord
@@Au_Ra804 I dont care about what hes story was revolves, he was so boring, also penacony story is a yapfest with a lot of plotholes, and yes I read every stupid line about dove, 7-8 times even, soo real L take is thinking that Penacony was that good, so everyone shoud praise this story an Sunday
@@Au_Ra804 also that exactly what he was doing, bro. You coud use big words, metaphors, philosophical ideas, psychological analyses, etc. to hide a plothole story, but if the main idea of the plot is straight as a stick, which Sunday himself said that basicaly what he wants, then you shouldn’t defend the writers who seriously thought that telling about Dove 8 times would be a very smart plot device
@@F1ash1056 I never said Penacony was good. Imo it had good action cutscenes, and good antagonists, but the storytelling itself was awful. I can still like a character that's part of that story tho, for many reasons.
Sunday himself said it as a metaphor, and I think it was Welt who also said it was a metaphor. The main plot was pretty easy to understand, but we're talking about Sunday here. Understanding the main plot of an arc, and understanding the motivation, goals, and circumstances of the characters in it, are two different things.
You can understand these things about a character and STILL dislike him. No one says you have to like him.
I also dislike a lot of characters in the game. But most of the time the reason for that is pretty petty, which I'm aware of and admit. I don't try to do mental gymnastics to justify my dislikes like many people do who dislike Sunday
@ I also don’t understand why Sunday can get on train, but Serval or Fugue can’t, Sunday even in this story sad that he now became even more boring, when he speak with himself, and why even give you choice to not agree with this decision, cause l am sure it will not be matter at all, and I don’t even think Fugue have a story mission, she was in story like 20 minutes, so stupid
