Huh, interesting, I never noticed that! Though oddly enough it kind of does the opposite to me, haha. I find it freakier to look at him when I just focus on the red light as its eye, and more calming when I see the human head. Love the way they designed the Aeons. So many subtle things went into them, you can just look at them for a while and see the layers of their design and the thoughts & ideas that eventually formed them. Nous is a really good example of it precisely because of that subtle side view vs. the glowing "eye" that draws in your sight at first.
Now imagine the being that made those sounds kissing you. Because that's exactly what happened when Yaoshi first appeared in the SU. Just made that sound and force kissed us on the spot. Even the TB got completely creeped out.
Bro, Nous is an Aeon that actually makes me feel a bit fear, the way they seem bigger than an entire planet, the sound they make, their robotic appearance just in the middle of the vastness of the universe is so fucking creepy to me and i absolutely love it (and i also love their path)

I just finished Penacony's story so spoiler alert. Ena's end is definitely a sad footnote explained on this arc. THEY pretty much put their Order making the universe more habitable for life to thrive. The Swarm disaster could've gone much worse if it were not for THEM. But THEY was swallowed by Harmony, which ascended from a collective of individuals(or maybe worlds, since we are talking on Aeon level) whom realized that they're but a puppet in Ena's thread, and "Harmoniously" desire Ena's demise. The crazy thing is, if you read Ena's lore, you'd know that THEY were a control freak, big time. Ena was the reason Destruction and Abundance doesn't exist back then, THEY were actively suppressing them because it goes against THEIR Order. But it doesn't happen with Xipe's ascension. Ena didn't suppress this one, in-game text implies Ena doesn't do anything at all, no resistance, no words, nothing. Even when THEY knew it would end with THEIR demise, in a world where worlds yearn for THEIR fall... Ena chooses to be peacefully swallowed by Xipe. Because it will bring Order back once more...

This stems off of the fact that, being the control freak THEY are, Ena wanted to end the chaos caused by Tayzzyronth and Ouroboros. THEY made a secret deal with Qlipoth during the alliance against the Swarm that never came to pass but likely had something to do with Ouroboros. And we know traces of the Equilibrium appeared throughout the Swarm Disaster, since Tayzzy was causing too much chaos and thus had to be put to an end. The theory, IIRC, basically says that, because Ena was trying to end Ouroboros as well, the Equilibrium between guardian Aeons (Qlipoth, Ena) and destructive Aeons (Ouroboros, Aha? though THEY’RE mostly a wild card so I’m not too sure) would be broken (which it currently was due to Tayzzy but now it would be broken on the protector’s side). So in order to quell that, HooH assisted in Xipe’s ascension and absorption of Ena to prevent THEM from ending Ouroboros and maintaining Equilibrium. Similar theories also suggest Aha was part of that whole affair since THEY’RE extremely gracious and friendly towards Xipe in SD.

Likely the ones THEY would release endlessly. Nous: Screech and movement of metal sliding against one another. Likely coming from Nous’ physical being shifting around during THEY’RE calculations. Xipe: Static (?) and harmonious voices/notes. The Static sound seems to be coming from Xipe’s “Halo” or the puzzle pieces THEY emit. Ena: Movement of inorganic parts and orderly chords. Some fun(?) things i noticed Tayzzyronth and Lan sounds are actually Mothra from Toho (aka Godzilla creators) screech except the order from start to finish is changed (one being the most recent one designed for Mothra over the Monsterverse while the other being her original one) but Lan one has also the sound of an arrow mixed with it Xipe background sounds are similar to a Whale echolocation Ena sounds a bit like pulling the inside of a piano (i think it was a piano) Oroboros music bg is Ena one but more distorted

IX's shape vaguely reminds me of recorded black hole sounds translated into something human ears can hear, albeit more haunting and ghostly with the latter. In this one, it sounds like a mysterious ping on a location.

Lan: Knock and Release of a Lux Arrow. Likely the one sent to the Xianzhou.
Aha: Laughter and Party Blowers.
IX: Radar and Radiation (?). Seemingly a sounds like a ripple in space time.
Tayzzyronth: Screeches and flutters coming from insects. Likely the ones THEY would release endlessly.
Nous: Screech and movement of metal sliding against one another. Likely coming from Nous’ physical being shifting around during THEY’RE calculations.
Xipe: Static (?) and harmonious voices/notes. The Static sound seems to be coming from Xipe’s “Halo” or the puzzle pieces THEY emit.
Ena: Movement of inorganic parts and orderly chords. The movement sound is seemingly the motions of the “puppet” Ena controls.
Oroboros: Carnivorous growls and chewing. Likely coming from the “creatures” attached to THEM. Or perhaps THEM THEMSELVES.
HooH: Sounds of space spreading out in equal directions. This sounds as if HooH is in the center of the universe and is emitting the very energy it relies on.
Nanook: Chains and Fire. Likely the same chains a fire within THEY’RE body.
Yaoshi: Flesh tearing and plants growing. Likely the affects of Mara.
Fuli: Ice freezing and backwards sounding chords. Likely the sounds of searching memories.
Mythus: Vague crystalline sounds and moans. Likely nodding to the idea that there is no concrete connections to Mythus. Whether THEY are a humanoid or not is not clear.

Tayzzyronth and Lan sounds are actually Mothra from Toho (aka Godzilla creators) screech except the order from start to finish is changed (one being the most recent one designed for Mothra over the Monsterverse while the other being her original one) but Lan one has also the sound of an arrow mixed with it
Xipe background sounds are similar to a Whale echolocation
Ena sounds a bit like pulling the inside of a piano (i think it was a piano)
Oroboros music bg is Ena one but more distorted
nous's is amazing, sounds like something theyd let out when performing calculations on formulas about the universe

Man, hearing Xipe and Ena’s sounds again after finishing 2.2 hits a bit different…I appreciate how you put those two back to back so we can easily compare and contrast their vibes after Sunday very nearly did something truly regrettable involving both.
My favorite interpretation of the noises is that they’re representative of when the Aeons ascended. Specifically because Nanook’s starts with the sounds of crystals shattering, and they rose to aeonhood after the Crystal world’s destruction.
