  • I tried to walk 15k steps a day (when my average is 7.5k) and it was fun to set a challenge and see if I could achieve it, to help increase my movement and feel fitter and better about myself. I am not focusing on calories or weight loss, but with more time at home than ever before, this has been a great way to focus on getting fresh air and to help motivate myself. I highly recommend and encourage you to think about the goals you can set for yourself each week! Let me know how you get on. B x

      I’m part of the Fitbit workweek hustle step challenge with some of the girls in work! Mines is set for 10,000 a day but some of the girls hit 20,000 everyday 🙈 it gets very competitive but it works to get your steps in! 😂

      I don’t have a goal but some days are better then others one day last week did over 2800 and 2400 another day but some are less I also run twice a week it is soo hard but keep going keep safe x

      Brogan Tate I do around 28,000 steps a day but I walk for four hours a day for my job and then I do two long one hour dog walk a day and they’re 2.5 miles each x

    i love that you really thought you weren’t going to hit your steps one day and then went out, smashed 15,000 and had such a spontaneous evening with a nice glass of wine and that beautiful sunset 😍 definitely an added bonus to the extra steps. i’d love to see maybe a ‘what i spend in a week’ video. i’ve loved watching these but often they’re from american youtubers or people with completely different lifestyles to me but i feel you’re so relatable that it would be interesting to see and i guess would encourage you to stick to a budget for a week which would be a good challenge! have a great week 😊

      Yes!! It was such a nice evening, it's totally inspired me to do it more often. Great idea, definitely keen to do a 'what I spend in a week' - just working out if I should include my 'bills' or just my 'expenses' if that makes sense! xx

    So encouraged I've been doing 10k from last month. Missed 3 days though glad i finished the samsung challenge in 14days

    I only get these kind of steps in when I am in Disney! haha! This is so great! You are so encouraging how you aren't pushing a diet on yourself and learning to live and eat and be fit all in harmony! You are always so inspiring! Keep up the great work!

    I mean, I knew your were a very goal oriented person, but I'm kind of shocked at how having this goal transformed your week. The day that you reached 12K because you were out and about in the morning I'm CERTAIN that in other circumstances you would have focused on not working in the morning - and instead you were celebrating all those steps and as per usual, you did a lot of work later in the day. I love how it gives you something else to celebrate. I'm going to think about how to use the idea of setting some new goals in my own life... Thank you!

    Loving these challenges and love the concept of challenging yourself to do 1 thing each week. I commented last week about getting a new little doggy, a cocker spaniel May, she has settled in so well and I see so much similarities between her and Bonnie its crazy haha. I have been doing well over 10k steps a day since getting her and I am so shocked as I was not doing that every day, especially working from home now so that has been a great thing :D xx

    GREAT JOB with the walking!!! 😍👍😍 I was walking 12,000-14,000 steps before the bad heat of summer got here, then I dropped it down to 8,000-10,000 steps, then I got covid in early July and haven't got back to walking yet. I've been feeling pretty much normal for a week or so and I know I need to get back to it. Hopefully, you're just the inspiration I need!!! I LOVE the way Benji was being so encouraging and positive that you WOULD reach your goal!!! 😊😊😊 Haha! When I was walking every day I remember evenings just walking around the house, trying to get those last needed steps!!! 😁😁😁 Continued love and health to all three of you from across the pond!!! 💜💜💜

    Good for you! 🎉 I sit all day at an office job, so it’s hard. But me and husband love walking and we like to go on really long walks on the weekend. We did 25,000 steps on vacation in Vegas and San Francisco. 🤗

    I'd love to see more challenge videos like this! I'm 100% going to try increasing my step count maybe to 12,500 and see how long I can realistically keep it up

    This video is so motivating for me! I am trying to get 10k steps in everyday for 7 days (I started on Friday) I have managed to achieve this and surpass my goal by averaging 11k steps and even sometimes getting 16/17k steps in some days. You’ve shown my I can do this and that I can achieve my goal! I’m feeling the benefits of doing more steps with being more positive and I am sleeping better on some days too! I would love to watch more goal videos too!

    Great job on your challenge! It looked like you felt great with all the activity. I usually get around 7k a day. I think I will challenge myself for next week to hit 10k each day. I love how Benji was encouraging to meet your goals.

    If I'm working and training in the same day (6/7 days a week) then I easily do 20,000!! If i am on a day off or I haven't quite hit at LEAST 10,000 I always consciously go out to try get them in :) Also, I loved this long chill vloggy style video again!! Classic B content 💃🏻

    Great job Brogan! My current challenge is reducing meat and eating more fruit and veg. It is hard at times but it is important to me for the health benefits. Maybe you could do a food related challenge as well?🤔

    Loved the video! I didnt notice any videos about your previous challenges like the meditation one you mentioned. Did you upload anything? Even if you've got some footage of the "failed" challenges that would be a great video. Trying is the first step always.
    Maybe you could do some sort of water related challenge as you always say you're such a water baby.. lots of love xxx

    Well done!!! I really enjoyed this video, Brogan. It made me think that I should set goals for myself. I work from home in a tiny studio and don’t go out much these days. Maybe the motivation of achieving a goal is just what I need!! :)

    I'm so jealous, since lockdown I've hardly left the house and some days don't even reach 2k steps, we went to the zoo a couple of weeks ago with my stepson and after doing 11k steps I was in agony for two days! I keep meaning to go out for a walk in the evening but after a day of work I just want to relax on the sofa and watch a film! I also live on a new build housing estate, still being built, so no where nice to walk! But you've inspired me to try and do at least 5k for the next week even if it's just walking up and down my street in the evening.

    I really enjoyed your video. I love walking for so many benefits (stress relief, natural light exposure, time in nature, better sleep,…). I typically get between 7-10K but have challenged myself to hit 10K the week prior, 13K this week and want to try for 15K next week. Having a dog certainly helps getting regular walks in. You live in a beautiful place with great places to walk which I’m sure helps as well ☺️

    This was actually really inspiring for me! As someone who is trying to lose a bit of weight, get healthy, and just feel good about myself, I tend to set too many goals to achieve. But you’ve inspired me to just start by setting one goal a week, hopefully I can then achieve that goal, and work on adding a second goal in the week after!     Keep going Brogan, really pleased for you! Last year in January i got a fit-bit and started walking/swimming to achieve a 20kg weight loss journey before my wedding in August 2019. Even though its just an app/watch it motivated me so badly and i achieved my goal. I still do my walking to this day as i find it such a great way to relax after a hard day at work, though listening to podcasts and audio books really helps while walking. Keep it up :)

    Colleagues at work have asked me to join a walking challenge, so the next 30 days we’re aiming at 10.000 steps a day! We’re at the office all day so it’s a good reason to go for a walk at lunchtime or after dinner. Seeing this video motivated me even more and its perfectly timed! Really enjoyed this. Thanks you 😊

    This is so motivational. I'm in a rut since lockdown and this is the kick I need. I'm sorry you've not been feeling great but working for yourself is hard. Do everything you need to keep yourself feeling well.
    As for challenge ideas; how about a random act of kindness challenge, do something good every day? Good for your mental health and the recipient of the good deed.

    Loved this video and also love how long it was! Massive well done on smashing that goal every day! I set my Fitbit to 10k but since lockdown I’ve been really struggling to hit that and have actually thought about lowering it so it doesn’t make me feel so bad when I don’t hit it and instead set a more achievable goal so massive hats off to you for smashing it!       Thank you lovely! I don't think there's anything wrong with lowering a goal if it's not being reached, I am happy with 7.5 a day and 10K every couple of days, but I don't put loads of pressure on myself. It's meant to be fun! I don't have Fitbit premium, I did try and the free trial but didn't use it much. Worth trying the free month though if you're interested! xx

    I really enjoyed watching this video. I’ve walked more during lockdown (following the guidelines) but end up walking 3/4 miles which feels a long way but look at the steps and it’s really not. I guess having a Monday - Friday office job does limit me, but I need to start doing more so thank you for inspiring me!

    I set my samsung for 10,000 but aim to get 20,000. Its only five days a week as the two days I work are long days! I love the walks no dog just me myself and I. I am lucky that i have a great partner that supports me and we live somewhere with some many lively walks. I have been known to walk in rain but I do prefer a dry day myself. I get my first 6000 for a the workout I start my day off at home, then lots of walking. I find it really helps me and my mental wellbeing.

    I started a journal yesterday and it gets you to set daily goals which I think is helping me, even if they're just small! I aim for 8k steps a day and was doing 20k on holiday a couple of weeks ago so now that I'm quarantining I feel so lazy, but only 4 days to go until I can leave the house again :)

    Watching this and well done you 😃❤️❤️ over the summer I tried to walk 6k (around 8,000 steps) every day and it wasn’t always easy. However, since being back at work and having to take the bus to work every day which also involves lots of walking, I am walking around 8,000 steps a day without noticing too much. Well done doing 15,000 that is amazing ❤️❤️❤️xxx

    Great job! I try to do 13,000 steps a day, and, yes, sometimes it is a challenge. I’m sure you feel a sense of accomplishment. You have so many lovely areas to walk near you.

    Love how uplifting your posts are, this has definitely inspired me to push myself! 💪🏻 Please could you tell me whereabouts in the New Forest you walked? I have an invisible disability which makes walking somewhat painful/ tiring so going somewhere pretty helps take my mind of the discomfort and I’ve recently moved near the New Forest! 💚

    Well done Brogan, this is a great achievement. On the days I’m stuck at my desk I barely do a couple thousand steps so I have to make that extra effort. Glad it’s not just me who paces the house at the end of the day to get those final few steps 😂

    Loved this video! I’m currently 6 months pregnant and have dusted off my Fitbit and have been challenging myself to do 10k steps each day to keep myself moving before the baby comes! I’ve got a cocker spaniel too! He’s called Sonny and I think he’s enjoying having lots of walks although, I’m a lot slower than I used to be 🙈 xx

    Loved the video. Motivated me to stop ignoring the step counter on my watch for a while :-). Another challenge idea could be drinking optimal water amount every day, maybe combined with something else. Would be interesting to see if you would feel a difference. I always struggle with drinking enough throughout the day.xx

    To top up your steps, could you chase Bonnie around the garden or the house? I did that with my old dog, and even 15 mins was a good workout and tired my dog out before bed XX

      Bonnie loves when I sit in the garden and throw her a toy that she can bring back to me, which doesn't get any steps but I love that idea! xx

    Loved this video. I definitely think I want to aim for more steps. I am going to see if my Garmin vivoactive 3 gives me the option to set a target.

    Loved this video although it made me a little sad and made me miss walking. A couple of years ago I damaged my back and so now use crutches and can't walk any distance more than a few metres. I used to walk minimum of six miles a day. I'll just have to think of new goals x Well done on completing your goal though and to Benji for encouraging you! X

    Me and my friends with treadmills or cross trainers in isolation did a virtual challenge to see who could do 10k once a week and we all loves it as it kept us active from home great to see your challenge and result! 🙌👏💖

    Lovely video. Have you been to kingfisher barn, that's a lovely walk buy the river. Teddy always goes in for a swim. I've not been to the cranford sangs walk yet. Will try and go there this week.

    My goal for my watch is set to 10,000 steps a day. I work in a childcare setting so of course I'm up and around ALL the time and I hit my goal almost every day (except on weekends) some days I get 15,000 or 20,000 steps which I find crazy!!!

    I'm currently working through the Chloe Ting two week shred challenge and its tough! I'm using muscles I didn't realise I had! I'm on day 10 and I've already lined up another one of her challenges for when this is finished! :)

    Can I ask if you have noticed a difference in your self, physically by drinking more water and walking 15,000 steps? I try to aim for 10k but only reach it a couple of times a week. Might try the 15k challenge to really push myself.

    Great video 👍. I try to do 10,000 steps daily and I get very upset if I don’t reach that goal, but it’s true what you say, if you do it for 30 days it becomes habit and now I enjoy the challenge daily.

    Great job! I need to walk more! Thanks for the motivation. I like outdoor walks and TH-cam Walking workouts like Leslie Sansone (Walk at Home) channel! I like videos like this! I seen people do drink more water and a week without technology (no internet, no television) challenges.

    Try the challenge you have to walk up & down the stairs for 5 minutes everyday for 30 days I saw Simone do it on TH-cam they lost 2 inches off their waists xxxxxx
