Even now I wonder why I shed tears for Violet Evergarden. Why do I cry for events that happened long before I was born during World War 2? Why should I have feelings for situations that took place in a time before people knew better? And why should I have sencerity for individuals who are now long gone passed away of old age? These questions still bother me even now. I cannot explain why I'm sad for things that happened before my time. I guess the people who created this Masterpiece wants me to feel this way.

You and I along with the rest of the Violet Evergarden fanbase are for sure the correct people that the author was able to reach out with. I consider this show The Anime of the Century. I don't think that they'll be another show as this until the year 2100. Good luck to anyone wanting to replicate this show where the opening and ending songs brings tears to your eyes. Although this show takes places long before I was born, it secretly teaches many life lessons that almost everyone can learn from. It's been years since I've seen a show as this that has made me cry so much. The other shows that got me were Clannad and Anohana. Now that I've relived these feelings, I can truly say that Violet Evergarden has now become one of My Top 5 Legendary Anime.
Episode 11 is sad too imo. If i remember correctly, it's the episode with the dying soldier then, he died while Violet write his letter and then she bring that letter back to his parents
This is the only anime that made me cry really really hard. And every time I listen to this song i get very emotional because of those damn episodes and of course how can i not cry a bucket in episode 10?! Legendary. I love Violet Evergarden. 😭
I used to think that Wolf Children, Anohana and Clannad were the greatest impactful shows ever made but Violet Evergarden proved me wrong. A Whole Never Level of emotions arrived that makes Anohana look like a Kindergarden Book. Although I've never been in the military, I learned so many life lessons from this show that College would never even think of teaching. Watching Violet Evergarden is so good that it hurts. And good luck to anyone who wants to replicate a show as this where every episode is a tearjerker. Which is why this show is Number 2 out of my Top 5 Anime Legends.

Violet Evergarden is a work of art. The creator Kana Akatsuki is a absolute Geaniuss in making stories. Its no wonder her Light Novels were chosen to be adapted into a Anime. The Legendary Episode 10 will always stand out to me among the rest of the other episodes. I was hurt by the father who lost his wife and daughter. But the next episode with Anne and her Mom Emotionally Broke Me. I know y'all will disagree with me about that, but I'm just sharing with you how I personally felt. Episode 10 effected me more than the other episodes. It was executed in such a Powerful Way especially with the music that it made the final episode of Anohana look like a Kindergarten Book.

After that, she went with gilbert, got married, and handled the post office on the island they live (the one at the lighthouse). After many years passed by, she is still remembered by the city. At the end of the movie, it hit me that Violet’s time away from Gilbert was not totally in vain. Her experience writing letters and feeling emotions helped her to break through to Gilbert when it mattered most. Of course, Gilbert needed time to realize his mistake as well. Violet’s “final letter” to Gilbert was a culmination of who she became as a character, a showcase of not only her skills but her feelings which weren’t so apparent from time to time, and nonexistent at the start of the series. I just finished watching this for the first time, start to finish and it was truly amazing. My favorite anime of all time. Special thanks to my friend who made me binge it with him. A letter that you write is just a piece of paper with some words that don't tell the whole story Unless you beautifully write it. I was taught to write letters in school but before I watched the anime, I didn't know what I had to do and was just scribbling texts on paper(stupid but now I will improve my letter/email writing)!
i've never cried so much over watching anime. this series is like a dream i wish would never end. going through a breakup didn't really help either so i cried like a baby. the part when violet discovered that gilbert was considered KIA, her reaction broke my heart. even i wanted to believe that he's still alive somewhere T_T

I finished the show a few days ago and I’ve never seen and felt so much emotion put into an anime show like this before. Not even in media as a whole. It was so emotional and I have a very touching message. The first show that I’ve seen from Kyoto animation was A silent voice, which I absolutely loved. This showed me the importance of why we do letters and that it’s tough to express your feelings. This show felt like it had a soul, which it did and I loved it. Episode 10 is honestly my favorite, not just from the show but out of all the anime shows I’ve scene. Definitely is a bold statement there but I don’t care. I wonder how silly it sound for a Fantasy show to have a big affect on my life.
Watched the series again for the 3rd time recently after 2 yrs but this time with my mom. I bawled my eyes out crying in silence and I turn to see my mom how she doin and she had tears falling down to her chin. She doesn’t watch a lot of anime but this one hit different for her 🥹
As a big brother I have a little sister who likes anime, and I wanted her to watch this. I've seen the series, the special and movies - the last one I had not watched so it was an experience together. We watched, cried in silence, and saw how the story of Violet Evergarden ended together. The reason I made her watch this was to open her up to other animes besides the usual trope we normally see. And she finally understood what anime could really bring besides cool battles and graphic scenes, it was beautiful animation and storytelling.
I watch the movie and it was so very beautiful I cried so muck after watching it. It’s such a truly beautiful movie and the series it shows a girl who was in war to understand and help people by writing letters and understanding a person feelings and show how important a letter can be to show a person’s heart without actually telling them in person. A letter so powerful to make a person cry such a powerful emotion loved this anime it was so so so so so beautiful never made me cry so much cried like 17 times ain’t joking.
Everytime... This song give me the feels, goosebumps and tears all in one. I just can't get over this anime. This is my favourite now. It may not be like the other, but the story was Excellent. It hits every person to the core leaving you wondering how letters are written, how great our own expressuons of emotions are. We all can see that emotions are the strongest part of a human being. It may shatter, but it'll always be there sailing in the ocean.

The Legendary Episode 10 will always stand out to me among the rest of the other episodes. I was hurt by the father who lost his wife and daughter. But the next episode with Anne and her Mom Emotionally Broke Me. I know y'all will disagree with me about that, but I'm just sharing with you how I personally felt. Episode 10 effected me more than the other episodes. It was executed in such a Powerful Way especially with the music that it made the final episode of Anohana look like a Kindergarten Book.

After that, she went with gilbert, got married, and handled the post office on the island they live (the one at the lighthouse). After many years passed by, she is still remembered by the city. This is a very rough shoddy translation, and my Japanese is still scrub-tier, but after watching the Violet Evergarden movie a few days ago I felt like I had to give it a shot.
And I must say, translating this in context of having experienced the film, I felt my heart being tugged by the natural poignance of the lyrics.

This Anime’s story and soundtrack is definitely my favorite. It’s so heartfelt and beautiful…
At the end of the movie, it hit me that Violet’s time away from Gilbert was not totally in vain. Her experience writing letters and feeling emotions helped her to break through to Gilbert when it mattered most. Of course, Gilbert needed time to realize his mistake as well. Violet’s “final letter” to Gilbert was a culmination of who she became as a character, a showcase of not only her skills but her feelings which weren’t so apparent from time to time, and nonexistent at the start of the series. I just finished watching this for the first time, start to finish and it was truly amazing. My favorite anime of all time. Special thanks to my friend who made me binge it with him. I hope you all find peace and love in your lives. God bless.

oh my lord.... at first i thought violet evergarden is just an ordinary anime. and then, yesterday i finally started watched it. i still on eps 6 tho. but... every episode is just an masterpiece. the feelings tho.... happy, sad. it mixed up. plus the graphics and the beautiful baground music. is just beautiful. and the plus poin is. this anime wants me to feel what happened after the war. those mess... i never thinking of it once before i saw this anime. to be honest, this anime is really simple. no action, comedy, less romance. but... its so sad. so sad that made me cry for a whole day. thanks. really. really. thank you for the one who make the novel and also the anime.

This song is something that can't explain with words
I finished the show a few days ago and I’ve never seen and felt so much emotion put into an anime show like this before. Not even in media as a whole. It was so emotional and I have a very touching message. The first show that I’ve seen from Kyoto animation was A silent voice, which I absolutely loved. This showed me the importance of why we do letters and that it’s tough to express your feelings. This show felt like it had a soul, which it did and I loved it. Episode 10 is honestly my favorite, not just from the show but out of all the anime shows I’ve scene. Definitely is a bold statement there but I don’t care. I wonder how silly it sound for a Fantasy show to have a big affect on my life.

Watched the series again for the 3rd time recently after 2 yrs but this time with my mom. I bawled my eyes out crying in silence and I turn to see my mom how she doin and she had tears falling down to her chin. She doesn’t watch a lot of anime but this one hit different for her 🥹

As a big brother I have a little sister who likes anime, and I wanted her to watch this. I've seen the series, the special and movies - the last one I had not watched so it was an experience together. We watched, cried in silence, and saw how the story of Violet Evergarden ended together. The reason I made her watch this was to open her up to other animes besides the usual trope we normally see. And she finally understood what anime could really bring besides cool battles and graphic scenes, it was beautiful animation and storytelling.

I watch the movie and it was so very beautiful I cried so muck after watching it. It’s such a truly beautiful movie and the series it shows a girl who was in war to understand and help people by writing letters and understanding a person feelings and show how important a letter can be to show a person’s heart without actually telling them in person. A letter so powerful to make a person cry such a powerful emotion loved this anime it was so so so so so beautiful never made me cry so much cried like 17 times ain’t joking.
This is the ART of my life. I can't imagine how can a person write a history like that. If heaven exisit, then it probably its relacionated to it.

Everytime... This song give me the feels, goosebumps and tears all in one. I just can't get over this anime. This is my favourite now. It may not be like the other, but the story was Excellent. It hits every person to the core leaving you wondering how letters are written, how great our own expressuons of emotions are. We all can see that emotions are the strongest part of a human being. Even now I wonder why I shed tears for Violet Evergarden. Why do I cry for events that happened long before I was born during World War 2? Why should I have feelings for situations that took place in a time before people knew better? And why should I have sencerity for individuals who are now long gone passed away of old age? These questions still bother me even now. I cannot explain why I'm sad for things that happened before my time. I guess the people who created this Masterpiece wants me to feel this way.
