Ok, I am going to be honest. This is a long one so please bear with me. I am a mother of three beautiful girls. All of which absolutely LOVE anime. My first daughter was into anime and I grew curious at what made her so excited. So as any good mom would do, I sat down and watched Sailor Moon with her. At first, I thought the show wasn't worth watching . However I sat with her through most of the story and grew to love all the characters, the story line and everything. It became something we loved to do together.
Ten years later, (yes 10) I had another daughter. When she 3, the three of us would sit down and watch anime together and talk about the episodes, what we liked and didnt like. You know, the family arguments on which was better. We would laugh and tease each other. Even started saying our favorite quotes from different anime characters. It was wonderful!
But in 2013, my first daughter passed away. She lost her battle with cancer. A cruel twist of fate, the day she passed was April 1, 2013 at 6:30 pm. Which was the time the anime series, DragonballZ would end on Cartoon Network's Toonami back then. But on that day, DragonBallZ did not air as Toonami was being taken over by pranksters. She passed wanting to listen to the show which she loved so much. All I have now are the wonderful memories of us watching anime.
I kept watching anime with her little sister and 20 years later, she is a full grown anime mom like me! I had my third daughter during those 20 years (12 years after my second daughter) And like a good big sister, she watched anime with her.
One day, we heard this song play randomly while cleaning. Yep, we made an anime playlist on youtube and played all our favorite themes as we cleaned. even sang along. Horribly misquoting the lyrics. haha. So we made a day to watch the series the song belonged to. Let me tell you, it was the most beautiful series i have ever watched at the time. It reminds me of my first daughter and how happy she was even when she wasnt feeling well. To this day we play this song at least 3 or for times in a row. singing , laughing , crying, dancing and loving our lives together here on earth and one day in heaven.
Thank you if you read all this emotion. I just figured I needed to share this here. Anime has truly helped keep my family together. Enjoy life! I know we are! Live, Laugh and Love Anime forever! oh, one last thing. My daughters friends think I am a VERY COOL OTAKU MOM! ^_^

Here's a fun story:
I had no idea what this song was from, I'd never even heard the original version either. My friend Dylan sent me a recording of him playing this on piano. He never told me what it was from or anything, so I just thought it was a really pretty song and I made an effort to learn it. Simply by listening to the shitty little recording he sent me I was able to figure out how it went and now I can play this song on piano. Curious of where the song came from, I asked my phone "what song is this?" and played it on piano. It recognized it and sent me here. So basically, I fell in love with this song and then learned it on piano without ever listening to/knowing anything about the actual song...

My friend Dylan and I don’t talk much anymore; I’m a university student and he’s working full time. But I look at our time with a lot of nostalgia and joy. I’ve come out as transgender since we last spoke, which is part of the reason I was scared to come back here haha. But I’m happy. One of the few animes with an ending that will be remembered forever and one would like to award it as the most beautiful anime of 2016. For someone who has never dealt with anime, this anime might be a recommendation as well. AnoHana is among the saddest and most emotional anime that might exist. Clannad fans, maybe Angel Beats fans too, might agree. Maybe that's what defines AnoHana. A bit far from the typical anime, in between there are also things that you can identify with and that speak from your soul
God, I cried so hard when Menma's 'friends' started confessing that they actually wanted Menma to disappear not for her but for their own good.
I bursted into tears when I heard tsurumi and poppo why they wanted her to disappear that floating slipper always gets me crying

Janine Agatha Mira oh it’s been so long, so Ef- a tale of memories is the season 1. And ef- a tale of melodies is season 2. I think it’s a solid 8 between the two seasons, but a warning, the art style is pretty old...like Clannad old, but it’s still beautiful.

I just finished watching this anime after such a long time, the relationship between each of them feels so genuine yet complex at the same time, the show did a great job explaining everyone's thoughts and point of view, none of them is being ignored, I love it, and it's really touching...
I haven't watched this anime, I do know some of the plot and video snippets, but this song still does not fail to make me cry each time.
Most anime’s openings are more noticeable than the ending. This anime makes a great exception. The ending is just depressing, joyful, and lit.

Let me just put this here, I’m a senior about to graduate class of 2023 I have been dreaming of graduating since I was young looking up at people who graduated and asked myself “when is it my turn this is really tiring”.
It’s still tiring , it drains me every day, I never liked studying tho i have good marks. I’m actually happy that I’m going to graduate but you know what ? I know deep down I’m going to bawl my eyes out when I do.
My school isn’t like the Americans schools I have been here since kindergarten, the bunch of memories that I have in here are really valuable,unforgettable, meaningful and literally everything for me.
14 years in here, I really can’t describe my relationship with this school like more to love hate ? I know I really love it but it makes the person go through hell to get good marks which is might sounds good but it’s literally draining me.
But the way I have memories in every spot in this school, the way I learned a lot of lessons in this life because of it. The way I really like my friends and would do anything for them ( not to mention I had really hard time to find the right friends).
Didn’t realize I just had my last summer break,winter break , basketball matches , last first semester, last second semester , last festivals , last moments of making memories last everything and will continue to the last class and last exam, I probably did realize? I just denied it and enjoyed the moment hopefully I will do the same till the end.
I’m afraid of graduating, afraid from the way the time is passing, I’m not ready for anything, I’m still a kid in my eyes, i don’t want to leave my place , my basic boring routine , my friends , my classes , my teachers , my me worrying about the time to go to bed ,I don’t want to deal with anything, I don’t want to give up anything,but we all should, shouldn’t we?
Last to mention I really hate crying in-front of anyone let’s just pray I will do that at least just to leave with the “ goodbye you hold back your tears and smile”

Just had my last second exams (the mid exams in some countries). I just dont know how to feel? My final are probably gonna be in early may. I just got like 2 to 3 weeks left and will finish my basic routine and start our finals. Am i scared ? Worried ? Happy ? I really dont know. I hope these almost 3 months are gonna be memorable with such happy memories.

I really dont know why i always remember this comment at night, anyway tomorrow is my senior walk, crazy isnt it ? Time flies by very fast im just having random memories and flashbacks at this rate. These actually gotta be last full 2 days until i start my exams - i just go to school and do my exam and go back to my home- i really cant comprehend right now but i gotta give these 2 months my best so i wont regret it in the future!

I just finished everything. School , exams and my grades are out. They weren’t as good as i expected them to I really don’t know how to feel about that. I know i didn’t do my best especially this year than I actually do. I really know that i could have done much better i just didnt study that hard didnt care that much and ironically thought i would end with great marks like everyone did. Comparing myself to other is literally the worst habit i have that might have been the reason i actually didnt care about this year. Whats even worse that my family think that ive done my best so whatever i get is great for them either it was good or bad and thats what kills me. I really should get a grip and focus on the future because what happened had happened and i can do nothing about it so thinking that way will just waste my time. I really hope future me will be proud of me anyways.

Time has passed. Now im on a good term with my marks lol didn’t even know i would be this relieved and accepted about it. Anyway i did apply for what major i wanted from the very start. I think it’ll take about 2-3 weeks to know if i can get it in or not. I hope i will. I just hope for the best to happen in the future since i can do nothing about the past. YOU CAN DO IT.

University starts next week. I am not really in the mood to do anything for it tho i still have some exams to study. Not to mention NONE of my close friends are with me which kind of stress me out i really do like them. Tho i know the university that i got in is the strongest in my country and my siblings are with me they are pretty far my major tho. I still have mixed feelings tho i hope i will be doing fine i do have the feeling that i will.

I remembered this out of no where while I was studying for my last mid exam. I’m not doing exactly well but I can see myself doing better in the future! I really like my major but I didn’t do any new friendships which was my decision from the start I like it this better since I can’t find my own people and I don’t really want them to be from my major.
