@@ReggaeAppreciationSociety One fact people don't stress enough on is that fact that Michael Rose was the group's PRIMARY songwriter thru out their most accomplished period of 1977-1983...In fact I remember Michael Rose single-handedly wrote all the songs on the Sensimila album of '81... Nonetheless despite the acrymonious split in '85, his arrogance was seemingly justified. Iya.!! 😀😀😀

Nobody could ignore the brilliant backing instrumentation from the Riddim Twins Sly and Robbie but for me Micheal Rose's initially captured my attention with his unusual singing style...He was an absolute novelty..

Saw Black Uhuru at the Wild Hare in Chicago last month - incredibly awesome show! Saw Michael Rose many times in recent years who does a great show - a true reggae ambassador on & off the stage.

Although i loved Reggae since my first Front Line compilation album i stumbled upon around 1980, the Black Uhuru 1981 Rockpalast concert in Germany got me addicted at 16 years old. What a banger that was, thx for the memories my friend✌️😎

Enjoyed as always as it is such a joy to hear the utterance of a Rasta. Now I am off to throw rockstone upon the dumper truck to earn a bit of bread.
