Joseph Stalin? Yes. Yes it was. The time machine was originally to destroy Germany way back when, but than I met a deaf German dude, we became friends, and he wrote me this piece. Boom.
This was originally for one of his students named "Therese" she was pretty mediocre piano player so he made this piece to be easy yet to sound good, but he found out she was engaged to another dude so he made it far more complex so that Therese can never play it and renamed it from "Fur Therese" to "Fur Elise" likely referring to "Elisabeth Roeckel" to try and forget about Therese
Sorry dude but in 1810 Beethoven proposed to therese then she rejected him to marry a Austrian noblesman so she WASN'T married yet and then After beethoven got rejected therese married an austrian noblesman
imagine in a genuine piano class someone just casually playing fur elise on and you just say "i can play that too" and you play this variation of fur elise and they're like *WTF*
Believe it or not, composers did that all of the time. They called it “Variations” Mozart famously did 12 variations of what is now known as “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”
beethoven made this for a student he loved, named therese, who wasn't really the best piano player - she was mediocre, at best. he made it so easy that she could play it and also impress people because beethoven found out she was engaged to another man. he pretty much made that a part 1:05 so she could never play it. he proposed to her once & was rejected so rip the reason why it's named "elise" & not "therese" probably refers to elisabeth roeckel. she had a flirty relationship w/ beethoven, so he probably renamed it for her because he didn't want to remember therese anymore
I have the same reaction to my classmates when they learned the first 5 seconds of it but they took at least 5 minutes and since I’m the only pianist in class who understands notes and chords they would show it to me to try to impress me atleast but made me bored and worst of all they would show it off to other people where they would take the credits to themselves instead of telling them that I teach them fur elise and for revenge I would just play better than then piece of cake
I heard Beethoven was in love with a student of his, wrote Für Elise for her, who was a mediocre piano player, so he made it easy, but then he discovered she was in love with somebody else, so he added the hard parts so she could never play it
My piano teacher said the same 10 years ago. The real name of that masterpiece is "Für Theresa" not "Für Elise". But is this relevant? He said "no". Both sounds great in the ear. 👌🏻
Na Zhang the first part was for Therese but Beethoven found out that she was engaged so he created more for the piece but made it very hard so Therese could never play it. but it was named after Elise because they had a flirty relationship because Beethoven probably wanted to forget about to Therese.
I like how Beethoven was always the mysterious person, like you never know what's coming or to expect and the Für Elise is still a mystery that only Ludwig himself can answer.
According to the wikipedia of Für Elise, researchers believe that Elise might've been Elisabeth Röckel or Elise Barensfeld. It also might have been Therese Malfatti.
Elise is probably already dead so all she could be right now is a skeleton, and there is one skeleton we all know and love... Jack Skellington. Elise is Jack Skellington.
So I'm an amateur musician, with some music theory knowledge, bu I still don't understand how you make such powerful, perfect arrangements. You make dissonance harmonic; discords, chords. It's amazing.
Possessiveness, anger, frustration, love, peace, confusion, madness thats what i felt. The intro part tells us about his anger of being rejected by someone. Then slowly he introduced this lovely lady who captured his heart but when he admitted his feelings he got rejected, suddenly theres shame rage and anger and he was crying all over wanting to have her but cant groaning in despair and wanting to be freed from being imprisoned in his feelings for her. Wow what a story!!
i learned in school that the piece was called "FÜR LENISE". everyone who saw the original sheet read für elise because a tear of Beethoven dropped on the name of the piece on the sheet and blurred the name "für lenise". it was discovered too late bc everyone learned that the piece is called für elise and not the original name für lenise. everytime i read or hear the name i correct them and say the piece is called für lenise.
I am not finding anything on the internet talking about that. Pretty sure you were lied to/fed misinformation. I'm open to it if you can find a source, but it even sounds like a typical fake legend. Super dramatic and hyped and easy to spread.
could be a fake legend... they showed us a documentary about that... but i can remember that the docu was from the 80s and yeah. extreme outdated.. or i just remember wrong with that.. could be. idk. but i will search about that when i have enough time
i just remembered wrong and i went on wikipedia and i just read that the piece originaly was called für therese. but the article is in german so u probably wouldn't understand it unless u r german aswell. but i could post the link there if u want or i could just copy the point of the article and throw it into google translate and post it here.
In 2012, musicologist Rita Steblin claimed Beethoven dedicated 'Für Elise' to Barensfeld. Steblin thinks Therese Malfatti could have been Barensfeld's piano teacher when she was 13, which is why Beethoven dedicated Elise the easy Bagatelle, “to do his beloved Therese a favour”. Just searched it in google and it said this....
This was really cool to see, I know how to play fur Elise and I really like how you took the main parts of the song and added new ones based around them, like in the song it has a crazy part at the very end and that is kind of like 3:20 I played it on my channel
This piece can't be just a favor. Beethoven loved this Elise, clearly. Can't you just feel the power from this piece? This is Beethoven's way of describing his feelings. You can clearly see that Beethoven is also telling us a story, with ups and downs, by his music. It's surely a love story mixed with Beethoven's feelings, with, at the end, a small and calm message that he may only know.
I have a feeling that if Beethoven didn’t wrote this for Elise, it would be this complex(because he made the piece easy for Elise but later made it complex)
All my life I've been listening to the soft and beautiful version of Fur Elise, and I was expecting that version to be here. But no! My friend, you made it thrilling and awesome! While listening to it, I feel a sense of suspense, also while reading what you've typed on the screen. It's said that Fur Elise was an easy piece and after he found out that the girl he was making the piece for had a fling, he intentionally made the piece hard out of spite. What a savage.
Why is this a billion time better than the origial?? I've listened to this like probably like 20 times..... Like it's so good i get gooebumps. Amazing work
Fur Elise was made for a student Beethoven had a secret love for. When he found out the student (who’s name was Elise) was in love with another man, Beethoven wrote the rest of the piece making t super hard for her to learn. And he forced her to perfect the whole piece as payback for breaking his heart. This is why the piece is easy at first but then becomes super hard.
Elisabeth Roeckel, known to her friends as Elise, was the younger sister of Joseph Roeckel, a singer who performed in Beethoven's opera Fidelio. She wrote letters documenting her flirtatious relationship with the composer when she was younger, and remained close to him until his death in 1827.
Amazing 👏I dropped the pitch down to -5, which gave it a more intense vibe...I love both versions. Thank you for this❤ I just realized that Beethoven was an amazing coder, which makes him even more of a badass.
According to research of that mystery. Fur Elise was a wife of Beethoven who helped Beethoven to play Ode to Joy on his last performance on Austria. Later on 12:30AM, Beethoven was found died from cancer or difficulties disease on his liver. Fur Elise was a nickname of his wife.
