One of the best fights in the series. Spider-man got destroyed last time they fought, now he's strong enough to beat him. And that classical music is the cherry on top.
Whats even more impressive is that Spider-Man I'm sure was incredibly exhausted from fighting Silvermane and Doc Ock too but he still had enough stamina to fight Tombstone and also I'm sure Spidey was holding back against Tombstone and he still beat him.
Also gotta love how through the fight, you can see Spiderman isn't actually overpowering Tombstone. He is just adapting his fighting style to catch his opponent off guard, after noticing the first time he met him that brute force wasn't getting him anywhere. Tombstone never failed to Spidey before, so he just kept relying to striking first, and thinking later. Like trying to hit Spidey with that giant rock only to be outsped.

As he said, no witnesses there, his word against spidey's, if you watch the episode, it's actually the reporter (who's whispering in JJ's ear) who manages to collect enough evidence to tie Tombstone to his criminal activites.

There even is a scene with hammerhead talking to himself. "If all goes good, them three mooks take each other out, then Hammerheads the new big man." This fight the one of the greatest in the show and perhaps in all other Spider-Man shows. All the top dogs of the crime world meet at their highest point, discussing future plans as equals, but their hubris and greed only showed that they did not want equal parts, but full control over what they considered 'their city'. And seeing them all taken down by Spider-Man one by one whilst they are at their highest shows both their greatest weakness and Spider-Man's greatest strength: that each villain wants to be the one in control, and are too blind or too paranoid to have someone as an equal, and that even though Spider-Man is physically the strongest, his greatest strength is his will and honour, that despite him just being against three villains and having to fight his battles by himself, he comes out on top because he knows it is the right thing to do and knowing all too well the consequences of looking the other way. -Silvermane was too used to having his way due to being in charge for so long, that he charged at Spider-Man like a brawler with his combat suit, using brawn over brain to get the job done. And when Spider-Man exploited the weakness, it was over for Silvermane, who once had strength to get what he wanted was now helpless, unable to fend himself without it. -Doctor Octopus, even though he had a similar intellect to Spider-Man, his hatred for those who mistreated him and unhealthy desire to have respect made him too angry to focus on the hero, causing him to attack recklessly for Spider-Man to close the distance and bring the villain down. -Tombstone's name was his biggest irony, as his final encounter with Spider-Man brought both of them below the city, where the final blow was the the broken block of masonry falling on his head, knocking him out. This was the death of Tombstone's entire empire, the Big Man's entire work crumbled to dust, his tombstone below the city, where even the common people were now above him. And the final conclusion to this stand off is when all the villains defeats are witnessed by the public and police, who see their hero come out on top, showing the whole city that Spider-Man will always protect them even from the most powerful of people who will harm them.
I swear, this is EASILY the best version of Tombstone. I get that he was basically given Kingpin's personality cause they couldn't use the latter, but it honestly just *works*

Well peter is still pretty young here so im guessing his full strength isnt as strong since he is still maturing but lets say he's in his 20's then he can pretty much beat most street level villains because 1. His body has reached full maturity and his muscles are now more well developed and 2. More experienced in fighting and using his webs in combat.

With things like classic villains like Doc Ock, Chameleon and others being present but with drastic changes like Tombstone being a not albino teenager friend of Peter, then Nico Minoru of the Runaways as possible Peter's girlfriend and the fact that the spider that bits Parker comes from a symbiote-ish monster that fought Doctor Strange.

Even back in 2012 when I saw this, these versions of the villains were already my favorite, they’re all so cool unlike oher series where they can sound and get goofy. Not actually, but in comparison I mean.
Hell, after this show, the next animated series iteration of Tombstone will be that weird one where he isn't Tombstone but a teen Lonnie Lincoln, football player for Midtown and a friend to Peter in that upcoming Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man series

@@azimuddin1890 no, Ultimate Spider-Man from 2012 did not feature Tombstone, neither the 2017 series.
I meant the new upcoming series that at first was meant to be set in the MCU as THE origin of Tom Holland's Spidey but later they retooled completely as its own thing.
With things like classic villains like Doc Ock, Chameleon and others being present but with drastic changes like Tombstone being a not albino teenager friend of Peter, then Nico Minoru of the Runaways as possible Peter's girlfriend and the fact that the spider that bits Parker comes from a symbiote-ish monster that fought Doctor Strange.
