The 2nd armbar and the Kimura are classics and great subs. I really like that shoestring armbars. Not one I've seen much of. I've been looking to add another mount submission and I think I've found my candidate. Thanks for the video!
That first one---wow, I have never seen before. I was thinking you were about to dismount or something and then all of a sudden I hear him say "tap." That is an awesome move. Thank you.
I got in top mount 5 times last night rolling, I didn't know much submissions to pull off.... so I just crushed his chest for a few mins lol. thanks for this video am going to give this a go tonight
I just started jiu-jitsu and i have no submissions at all, so i just try hold them there so they cant escape 😂 works for the "not so trained" guys, but soon as a good guy comes along... i get subbed pretty quick 😂
The shoestring arm bar was super effective, had to drill it couple of times in the gym but came in handy during the fight. A big big thanks from my part💯💪🏼.
It's nice to have someone put a kids point of view so that you could show this to you kid. I'm training for an in house tournament this weekend. Wish me luck
Ive been bored and going through some youtube vids..... as someone who has been training BJJ for a long time I will say there is a TON of absolute shit out there. Especially from lower belts eager to make vids. Glad this isnt one of them! Good stuff man! Nice technique. I teach my guys all very similar things from the mount.
Been training for a few months. I have a pretty good defence and have been told my guard is hard to pass. Which is what ive been focusing on. But when i get into mount i draw a blank. And amusually swept back to a bottom position. This is great and will work on securing these subs when i get into mount thanx.
On tuesday I had a fought for my mount until I finally got it, the guy had his arms so busy it was hard to set something up, I am going to try these next time, thanks guys!
Very good... different ideas from the norm here... i look forward to implementing these as i often am clueless when i get this dominant position.... 40 yesr old newbie!
thanks for this at my mma gym today i got into mount and diddnt know what to do from there so i kinda just sat there for a while then flipped over so he was in my gaurd
The second one is better if you staple with your leg on his neck bc someone that’s good at BJJ will either roll out or pull there arm out when you roll to your back
When I get the full mount I notice that when I try to slide up to pin the arms they either shoulder walk backwards or they bridge and escape the mount. Any advice?
They won't be able to bridge with much effect because there's no weight on their hips. When you're in high mount bucking/bridging is ineffective most of the time.
That mount doesnt work on people heavier, high mounts for that matter. Theyll just buck you off. Theres nothing keeping their whole body down, weight not being evenly spread across will allow easier leverage
I was rolling the other day, I got the mount, but couldn't figure out how to submit them. Thanks for the tutorial.

I know it’s basic but this stuff never ceases to amaze me. So elegant.

my judo and ju jitsu dojos keep getting closed down due to covid cases so i really appreciate these exercises for me to practice on my grappling dummy
Thanks man I appreciate it I'm going to watch your video over again a couple times and try these simple submissions tonight in class
Added to my favorites! Nice video!

Hello. Any other channels you'd recommend?
Thank you in advance.
Noeton any videos by Rener Gracie are great
Just don’t interlock your fingers like he does, that’s a sure fire way to break your fingers
Great lesson! Thanks for sharing your expertise!
Great content Keith! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Exactly what i was looking for. Ty bro u will improve my game.
thank you so much i have a tournament and i really needed this
Really good, been in full mount a few times now and lost what to do - thanks

I’ll come back to the classes one day
Awesome let me know how it goes.!
Slick move. Can't wait to try that tonight
Andre Newman the key to the move is to hang on to the top of the head that will hold his body in place. Good luck
Keith Azbury thanks I'll hopefully remember that
Thanks!
I got on mount on first roll ever and just stood their staring at my opponent having no clue what to do next
Nice video
Martial Arts is beautiful
Hey Coach Keith
Doooood holy shit I’m tryin this in an hour
thanks bro
For me it feels like the shoestring armbar only works if your opponent doesn't try to bump or flip you over cause his legs are free, any tips there?
Thanks
I trane there hailey recommend traning whith Keith great guy best you'll ever get.👌👌👌👌👌👌
Yes.
At the end of the video, there’s that mounted gogoplata option there
Great! But with the first one, you can't tap out. How do you do this in a fight? You will break his arm. Just wondering.
You can tap with your foot
The thing is i know a couple solid ways to finish on mount but i just never remember using them
I appreciate this video as a white belt I struggle knowing what to do there so most of the time I’m just like okay what do I do now 😂😂
Bro same I started 1 week ago and I’ll just sit there not knowing what to do😂
brendan Rodgers is a good teacher
bjj is probably some kinda stress relief when Vardy and Iheanacho had a bad day at work
Tooele, as in tooele utah??

Squeeze his ribs with your thighs as thight as you can. My teacher told me this so it might worth a try
Top mount means S-guard/S-flip
I got the mount 3 times. Count em. 3 times. And I couldn't submit him because of course I couldn't
Superbe
Getting a arm bar is so difficult every time rolling I try and all they do is grip hands or gi
Transition to the back.
For the shoestirng, whats to stop them from bridging you off? All of your weight is on the front, especially if you're leaning over.
They won't be able to bridge with much effect because there's no weight on their hips. When you're in high mount bucking/bridging is ineffective most of the time.
Maybe reverse shrimp?
On the second example of the shoestring you forgot to tuck his hand lol.
2:22 what did i just witness
Detail at 3:59 ... never heard before
SquaredbyX
Chalk the body so it can not roll. A tire chalk is used on trailers so it does not roll
this is nice im a white belt so i need the most basic shit possible.
I’m better on the bottom because not only am I a lighter guy , but , I have no clue what to do in full mount other than ground n pound
That mount doesnt work on people heavier, high mounts for that matter. Theyll just buck you off. Theres nothing keeping their whole body down, weight not being evenly spread across will allow easier leverage
Mucho discurso
How could you drill this solo?
buy a doll
*drop your stomach on his ELBOW. Awesome video though!
Good tutorial but did anyone else hear out his belly on his knee while pointing at his elbow 1:41😂
how the hell are you gonna tap out from a shoelace submission????
Too late for me to roll , i got diabetes, i cant afford to get bruises ...
U got diabetes cuz your a lazy unhealthy fuck. Shut the fuck up and and stop being a bitch and making excuses.
kyle matchinis diabetes can run in a family or can be a fault of diet and not if an individual is lazy or not working out
@@GetSome29347 your an ass hole
Like y is there this type of stuff this isn't fighting if u get in a fight who does that
go to a bjj guy and ask him to street fight.
i tried the show string and did not work
Cool story bro, u probably did something wrong idiot
I do jujitsu there
He had the most boring voice in the world
Don't label a video bjj then immediately start going on about MMA I'm trying to work on my bjj technique not my MMA technique atm
