I was getting the vibes from three different games at times. I was feeling some BG3, some Elden and some HP Legacy. Never played DragonAge but this looks like it would be a fun story nonetheless so 2024 is looking like a good year for games
This reminds me a lot of the Dragon Age 2, in how the fighting and playstyle works. It was probably my least favorite of them, unfortunately, though I didn't dislike it. I was curious about the city's look/vibe too, and looked into it. Minrathous is the capital of the Tevinter Imperium, so that explains why it's all magical and feeling kind of futuristic in that regard. Also, why did the dye our boy Varric's hair black before making him go grey?
I’m definitely okay with a new vibe for an area we haven’t seen in game before. I think it was just a shock to my system at first. I love the super high fantasy feel of the other games. I’m excited though! It’s a little different but the story and soul is still there. I’m ready to go explore. Ha, Varric even had that glow filter on him so I think he’s trying to hang on to his youth for as long as possible
