I'm glad we actually got some snow this year. It's just been mud the last couple of years. My scraper blade was stuck in the back yard behind the pallet forks, the hay spear, and a truck bed.
I can't believe we have 3 times the snow as Wisconsin. I am having to pull my well pump today, 400' and put a new one in. We are between 2 cold fronts. It has been around 0 for a week, it is supposed to get to 40 today and be below 0 by Sun. What a year. At least you have the equipment to get the job done. We've had a real weird winter here. Normally, we have 2 really cold snaps (around -40) and haven't received either. I bought a plow for my machine in the summer but figured we wouldn't need it with how the weather has been, until yesterday's dump of snow 😂 guess that's what I deserve for procrastinating. Have a great day, be safe, and stay warm!
I don’t know why I watched that whole video of you pushing snow. It was like I was in a trance. I see enough of that crap myself!😆 Keep up the good work.👍
You have quite an influence on many of the “woodhounds” that I follow around the country especially when it comes to methods of drying firewood. A lot of these “woodhounds” apparently follow you Chris and have decided like you they don’t want to stack firewood any longer and are now drying it in bunkers, piling it on pallets like you sometimes using chicken wire and metal T posts to contain or other various means of containment. Firewood at the Furnace (Brad?) seems to leaning towards your methods as well using IBC totes as his means of containment. Phil & Karen (Allen family firewood) stack all their firewood on 1/2 cord pallets and later dump the entire pallet load into his dump trailer. Their stacking method does make sense for them. Joe from Ohio wood burner told me he never would cease stacking his wood but I’m pretty sure his high school helpers do it all for him anyway. Your way makes a lot of sense Chris and many are following your lead.
