Make sure under Network -> WLAN IpV4 SETTING -> WLAN is set to CLIENT to allow your router to establish in IP address. When you go to Network -> Information -> STATUS, you should see an IP address that is not the default 192.168.0.1. Frank LeBoeuf Did you try lowering your broadcast resolution? I got a black screen on TH-cam when I tried streaming at 1080P 24M. When I stepped down to 720P 8M then TH-cam started showing the video. You might also try running a speed test at speedtest.net and see what you upload speeds are. Ideally at least 10Mbps.
Hi, good short tutorial on how to start the streaming. It works very good. However I have a question, do you always need to go to the desktop version of TH-cam and start a livestream session there? So that when you start it on the camera you actually make the livestream? I have tested it and if you do not start the livestream in the TH-cam through the browser, and start anyway the livestream from the camcorder, it will say it is live streaming on the camera, but actually your are not, since there is no livestream session initiated in the browser. Thanks for the feedback
So found the answer in the manual. Page 178: - Perform an operation from the application software to stop streaming. - Only RTSP is available when starting streaming with an operation from the application software. -For details about the operations to start streaming from the application software, please see the manual for the application software. - Streaming stops when performing operations such as displaying the thumbnail screen or playing back clips on the unit. -Streaming may stop when the date/time is set while streaming. So apparently this will only work only if you start the GoLive streaming from the Desktop TH-cam website, it will not work from any mobile device. Has anyone found a workaround?
You’re right, YT require that you start livestream from desktop version. It’s kind of odd, but I also remember seeing a notification that it depends on how many followers you have... 🤔 All the best /Martin
@@panasoniclumixnordic6219 Yes, if you want to do it from mobile device you require 1000 subscribers. Found 2 ways to start streaming to TH-cam immediately without requiring starting a livestream from the desktop (and does not require 1,000 subs). First option is to use your key from TH-cam "Classic Streaming". From a desktop, go to studio.youtube.com where you would normally start a live stream. In the bottom left click on the running man icon to go to the Classic Streaming page, which will take you to a th-cam.com/users/live_dashboard page for your channel. Here, you can setup your stream options. Most importantly, the stream key provided on the classic page is NOT the same key as you get on studio page. If you use the key from the classic page and plug this into your HC-X1500/HC-X2000, it will initiate a live stream straight away - no desktop computer needed. Second option is to create a free account on restream.io and link your YT account. Then set your HC-X1500/HC-X2000 to stream to the restream RTMP url/key. It will start streaming live on YT immediately. As an added bonus, you can multicast and stream simultaneously to other platforms as well.
