Fun fact The pan am globe lines are called graticules
It reminds me a bit of the watch dial from the Tusenö Windseeker. But they only have longitudinal lines and they don't have the same origin at the top and bottom. But the Windseeker looks more elegant.

I get the blue stickers off of the crowns by using very sticky shipping tape. Just keep dabbing it on the blue sticker and it usually comes off pretty easy. Seems to work better than trying to get if off with your finger nail (which I have done many times) Give it a try, it may make your life a little easier! I have seen other use the tape that is around the bands too!
That Bullhead GMT has lots of lovely elements put together into a package less than the sum of its parts.

The bullhead is actually not a bad looking watch - from a distance. That's a nice green, the dial pattern looks like it was done well, the hands are nice, the domed crystal suits the vibe. It's just a shame that the watch itself seems to be put together from whatever was in the parts bin chosen by the work experience kid.
The Red Star Unicorn is kinda cool, not gonna lie. Flawed and quirky, but cool.
Years ago, my favorite watch TH-camr was the Time Teller (Jory, I believe is his name). Now I never watch him. He comes across as smug & self-righteous -- I wrote him off when he ripped on fans of Vostok watches, and he didn't even know about the intentional "wobbly" crown. When his followers corrected him in the comments, he ripped on them.
Not sure why I went on that little rant, but I guess the point is that this guy is so much cooler, nicer, and more genuine. I also love the MWC, and that Andrew guy with the nonstop quips.

Jodie, the straps on the MercPaulin starwheel appear to be rubbing on the case, should it have curved end straps and curved spring bars? When I have tried straight end straps on one watch with tight lug depth I chuffed up the leather...😢

Hi Jody. On left field watches, remember the Lenvino watch you reviewed years ago? I went to check the website, and the website is no longer there. It's sad because I really, really like their Lecronos range with the speedometer-like dials.

The Red Star only has one horn. It isn’t a bull head; it’s a unicorn. And cellophane or packing tape really helps get the blue stickers off crowns.

I run a starwheel as a daily and have for a year, time reading is so much faster and it always starts conversations, couldn't be happier with mine, it also has an aventurine dial and lumed numerals so it looks more sporty than this dress style one.

At least you can get a reasonable watch from San Martin... Under $300 USD for a beautiful titanium GMT chronograph. Looks a lot like a Tudor (not enough to full anybody who would care... Lol). Love your vids Jody! Keep up the good work.

Is the Bullhead GMT a non-US watch? Your link takes me to San Martin's "Super Angebote" and searching provides no results.. The Star Wheel link is correct. However ... they both rate a big NOPE from this keyboard.
Pro-tip to remove the blue stickers on crowns: use some scotch tape! :) Works like a charm!

I always like to see new designs on Ali. In this case though, I think I'll stick with Xeric for budget weirdness.
I have asked every previous review about the GMT inner ring and no one has replied or mentioned it in their review. Weird and odd no one else ever mentioned it.

I was gonna buy the star wheel, ad it seemed nicer than its Pindu twins, but was surprised that nobody'd bought one in spite of Merkur being relatively popular. I then decided to wait for somebody to review it. And so... guess I'm getting an Atowak or a Xeric now. Thanks Jody for saving my money

The star wheel one is nice. An honestly, having no name on the dial is a plus for me. Let the complication be the "star:.
The star wheel looks interesting but unless you have it in the regular rotation recalling how to tell the time is an obstacle. The GMT is misnamed. A bull head has three buttons - a la the horns and the snout of the bull. This is more accurately a rhino head GMT. One horn and one horn only.
I find that a strip of masking tape is the easiest way to remove that blue decal from the crown. Just press down and rip off like a Band-Aid.
Love Jody's work, however I particularly like this review as it won't be costing me any money 😊
Love your channel, but I have a camera technical comment to add. If what you’re doing is intentional, please forgive me, if not…
Your neon sign is pulsing and your hand movements are strobing due to a narrow shutter on your camera. ( like Saving Private Ryan) I imagine you were looking to correct a flicker in the neon but it is still there and now your motion is too. Typically we try 172.8 degrees on the shutter first to correct this and then try (very)small increments from there (I am a cameraman in the US). You might also try going above 180 degrees to get rid of the strobing effect. (Too high and things will get blurry, though) Just trying to be helpful and if you know all of this already I apologize!

Weird / different is why I picked up the same as reviewed faux bullhead. It’s just quirky enough to make it out of the watch box when I wear a dark green shirt (gotta coordinate 😂)

Your link to the Bull head GMT is incorrect it leads to a San Martin GMT. I searched and found it. But check that link Jody. I am guessing your link is skewed to the right like the GMT dial and the irrational world city notification. Best stick to an Erebus for quality control excellence.

That Red Star is just the epitome of Chinese design. Give me that case with the ST Chrono movement in gold tone. That would be a nice Once Upon a Time in Hollywood option. Guess I'll just have to get the Detroit Mint instead.

I always buy second hand watches ( got a nice collection) I’m 46 and this is the first time I bought a new Swiss gmt automatic watch
I’m in love with this amazing watch only $795 plus tax… I know it’s ball and frankly I hate almost everything in there catalog but I was able to find this nugget model ENGINEER II navigator 40/20 Swiss automatic gmt 100 m screw down crown special oil to -40 ,shock ab.. tritium only on the hour minute seconds and gmt.
No tritium on 1-12 but recessed 24 hours does glow ( via tritium)…
Any thoughts? I know that ball in not your favorite topic but..

the star wheel movement and possibly the whole watch is made in the same chinese factory and sold under diffrent brand names. i got the oblvlo star wheel aventurine dial for 170$, it has a bezel like cw the 12 and diff case. this chinese factory makes really intresting watches like the joker and the star ship which both i own (also oblvlo). i follow them on youtube and they modeify movements and make cool watches..

A bullhead with a single corn in the middle wouldn't be a unicorn? Wish the Wandering hour was more legible. There's many version on Ali, most of them are hard to see.
