I miss the times csgo actually offered content by giving us multiple fun maps if they were competetiv or not. It was just fun allways playing on new maps finding now cheeky boosts or nice corners whatever
They would but there's a massive problem, 95% of the playerbase queues for dust 2, mirage, Inferno and cache over and over and over and over again, no one's gonna play tons of new maps so their only choice is to add a few new ones so the few people that do play the maps don't get thrown into 30 minute queue times

I have trouble with finding one map it was in cs: go. I remember there was grocery store, 3 block of flat and railway. I also remember there was winter time and it was avaible in team deadmatch mode

de_season just has a special place in my heart

Why are people here surprised of de_dust?? Have they never played de_dust ever??
de_dust isn't even available like that anymore. There's only a smaller version of it in wingman mode called shortdust where the a site is completely cut off, the bombsite is inside the mosque and other changes, so newer players including me never actually got to experience de_dust in an online match, only against bots if we download it from the workshop
Yeah it's horribly CT sided (worse than nuke or ancient), Valve even tried balancing it but no luck

It is removed, it has been removed from the map pool
back then I had to play the roblox knock off because I had no money lolol but regardless I paid like 2 or 3 years before it went free

i havent played csgo for like months until broken fang but seeing this video reminded me of operation hydra when i was first starting to play the game man i remember blackgold and insertion i always hated how foggy insertion is on my shitty macbook i was playing on
It's so you couldn't AWP someone across the map, danger zone maps have the same issue but they have tons of cover but generally valve made ones are built on a hill going up and others have all kinds of weird landscape planning and architecture

dust was actually in csgo before
shortdust was just a smaller version of it for wingman

Why they remove and fix every map I like
Community maps are added and removed on a cycle to give community mappers some playtesting, exposure and money for their work. Then the next set of maps comes in. Otherwise fixing maps is just an obvious thing to do? Why keep in an out of the map bug that breaks everything
Idk if valve removed them due to the game size which is understandeble it still sucks tho
Community maps are added for a while and then removed, the only permanent community maps I know of are Cache and Agency, the rest are also technically community maps but they were made in 1.6 and then valve remade them

I just did a research and it turns out they were out in the steam workshop when i posted this video but not yet in official matches. It was added 2 months after i posted this
