- Massive thanks to 𝙅𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙝𝙖𝙠𝙪 once again, dude is carrying the ac mirage community on their back.
I barely scratched the surface with this video, it was my first day messing with the new features. This mod really just gives you more control over Basim, since the movement often doesn't feel as contextual I would say it definitely feels like you have more control over Basim than Arno and that alone replaces unity in my top 3 personally.

Good to be able to roll more often, otherwise sometimes it feel like Basim got iron knees. When Arno does a high drop without rolling, he really stumbles a bit and loses some momentum, but Basim would just do that little squat and resume sprinting in no time.
yeah that’s prob exactly what this dude thought, being able to roll like this hasn’t been present since origins and even then it was height based, the last game it was actually manually activated was unity/syndicate. feels good
@@whipwalka Indeed. And even being height based, Origins rolling is still the single most satisfying part of its parkour for me. At least there's the illusion of control.
@@CatCatchCold origins is underrated, i doubt it’ll ever make a comeback but maybe i’ll go try out the eject mod on my own time

No dumbass. We wanted a more refined version of these moves added to the game officially by Ubisoft with better and stylish animations. Since Ubisoft didn't do it this is as close as we can get to those original demands being fulfilled. Modders don't have the resources so this is the best they can do.

Speak for yourself MF, we wanted the Focus Ability to be more like Arkham Knight without the teleportation but more brutal. Being grounded and being realistic are two different beasts.

Its been in the game since launch its just that the developers think it should be exclusive to controller or just dont care for keyboard and mouse

Im all for the new system getting better and better. I hope they implement this too, like they did with the last update, but make it look less jank and more polished.
yeah i was planning on doing a parkour run with this mod but tbh its still so janky, sometimes even more so than unity, its a dope mod that allows for cool things but i personally prefer more a consistent experience
could you share the value changes you have for this mod?
The problem is that this mod is trying to compensate for something that Mirage doesn't have: complex movement options.
This is why we have so many janky movements in the showing of this mod.
AC Unity was MUCH more complex in its parkour and world design, but failed at it because (since the complexity was so great) the devs made too many things "automatic" for the players' "comfort" and removed the ability to fail at parkour, therefore removing a lot of freedom on the players' part.
Mirage has less complexity both in parkour and world design (not a negative, less complexity means easier to understand what you can do), but fails because it STILL makes too many damn things automatic and THEN... it STILL removes the ability to fail...
And therefore restricts you even further.
This is why both AC1/2/Brotherhood/Revelations parkour still feels more impressive than Mirage. Because it is. :/
Because everytime you failed or missed a jump in these games, you can turn them into a win if you know its mechanics and react quick enough.
Nah. ACU Parkour is by far the best, but I'd say that Arno's input lag makes it weird at first to move him, and he always feels a bit too heavy.
Mirage has the opposite problem, Basim feels too light and it's really deeply annoying at first.
Ezio always had the perfect weight, also the cities were more of a playground than something made to look real.
But dude, when i do parkour i want to see flashy animations, i don't want a challenge. Challenge in parkour makes you feel like the character is stupid. Like c'mon Ezio, i wanted you to grab the ladder that's placed 5 centimeters away from you, not to try to run the wall vertically like Spider-Man.
Also the jump boost you get in AC2 is uncomfortable to use, because you had to press a button to grab where you wanted to be. Making it automatic made parkour better in the next chapters
The animations still look a bit goofy sped up, and in general is a bit too fast for my liking, it feels like I’m watching sped up footage and not something “natural” you know what I’m saying?
Yeah ACU movement was fast, but the animations worked in its favor, we would have to do an animation overhaul just for it to look even a tiny bit decent.
i did indeed use a mod to make the speed of the game faster but you don't have to that, regular speed is much more grounded :)

i would even say its hella weird, i wish more knew instead of this being a showcase it’s more of just a demo of the mod, everything shown here could be cleaned up and much smoother
These games needs to start having two release dates. The official one and then the modded one 😂😂😂.

Yes this is the main issue. His sprint acceleration animation speed is very slow. The way he moves his legs and arms is to slow

As long as the side hop isn’t on par with Unity, the parkour in this game would still look stiff…
just my opinion here but unity is infinitely more stiff than ac mirage, but thats prob just me

I like it conceptually but I think it just looks a bit jank to be honest, the only thing I’d actually want implemented from this mod is the parkour roll from smaller heights, it adds that bit more fluidity that’s still needed in Baghdad I think
you actually can roll from any height with this mod, the first couple seconds is an example of that and for the jank that’s a matter of choreographing the run and that’s why all my other videos have little to no jank, this video just shows a sliver of the possibilities with the mod

set a hotkey/keybind that activates the specific action(ex Swing up n' swing down) when held
@@maneanims9771 you change hotkey in cheat engine, when the menu pops up and you’re creating the bind you hit the button on your controller like you would a key press, may need a third party app like ds4 to set that up, anyways once you have the button bound there should be an option that’s “deactivate on release” which makes the cheat only work when pressing that bind

nah bro, you actually can’t even do the parkour roll on keyboard, it’s like hard coded into the game that way. i’m forever a keyboard player on all games but for this feature alone being gatekept to controller means i’ll be on controller for the rest of my time on ac mirage… unless we get a mod that makes the parkour roll work on keyboard but otherwise controller the play
@@whipwalka yeah, but how did you do swing up and swing down, and jump down? Aren't they mapped to keys on the keyboard
@@spider-verse4002 yes but i found out you can simply press a button on your controller and map it the same way you map a keyboard press, i think this only works on xbox controllers tho. how you map it is up to you and your binds
The OG titles were actually better on KB&M once you learned the controls but after Revelations the parkour became much more camera orientated and automated which I find inconsistent with mouse movement that are much more snappy and unpredictable for the game compared to consoles.

No stumble, set the value to 10.
it only functions on controller, otherwise you get the barrel roll but yeah what this dude said, the value that’s -100 in the “no stumble” needs to be 10
@@whipwalka I knew that it only works on controller, but since the vids about the eject mod i couldn't understand how. Thanks for the clarification.
@@M1Rc4t yeah for the mod specifically you cant have "no stumble" activated all the time or else regular jumps look goofy so i changed "no stumble" to only be active when im pressing a certain button on my controller. also you need to press said button before the jump, if you hold your ''no stumble" button at any point after basim jumps it just wont register, hope this helps

Why there is need of mod ubisoft has already updated parkour which is much better
because this game is still lacking in control over basim at the end of the day and this mod allows for even more intricate control over basim.
